“It will be eventually,” Luke stressed. “We’ve got you, okay? That’s all I’m saying.”

Shane pressed his face into Luke’s neck and kissed the warm skin, closing his eyes against the wave of bitter anger in the middle of his chest. One more year. All Dad had had to do was wait one more year, and this would all have been avoided. One stupid year.

“I have to tell them,” he croaked, and Luke’s grip tightened in an awkward but appreciated hug. “I have to.”

But God, he didn’t want to. 15

Could really use some help and suggestions here, Nessa. Chloe and I are getting really worried about Shane. He blew up at Chloe again yesterday. She said I apparently messed up in telling her about Cornwall before him and maybe I did, but he should be over this whole moving thing by now, surely? And when Chloe asked what was up, he made some comment about if he told us it would solve the whole issue because I’d throw him out!
