Chapter 21

“Bastard,” he panted when Shane was done and sitting astride Luke’s hips to keep him in a dangerously vulnerable position.

“Was not,” Shane replied.

“Bastard,” Luke repeated in a higher tone, and jutted his chin out. “You are so not getting any.”

“Lies. You can’t resist my beret.”

“Kiss me or go away,” Luke ordered, turning his face to the side. Shane laughed and kissed his cheek obligingly. “Now get off me.”

“In a minute.”

“Now, Shane.”

Shane rolled his eyes but obeyed, sliding sideways until they were sprawled out on the floor together. Luke turned on his side to eye Shane, and then that icy-beautiful face softened.

“I don’t want you to go,” Luke murmured lowly.

Shane grimaced, the knot forming in his stomach again. “I don’t want to go either,” he said. “Maybe…maybe he’ll let me stay for school?” It was a better bet than the other reasons, anyway. Dad would do his nut if he found out about Luke.
