1 The beginning of the beginning

If time could wait, Natalie would have averted the impending doom that she and her family would witness in few hours to come. Right now she was princess but soon would be a prisoner in a faraway land. Alone and helpless. Who would have thought she will leave her palace of incredible comfort and relaxation. With the company of her sister the soon to be Queen of the great kingdom. Her story do not start from her birth. Her story is now. The story of a princess now prisoner filled with rage, hopelessness and regrets. Regrets from not saving her only sister who died in her arms when the killers. The same people who had turned the place she called home to dust. This is not the end of her story but the beginning. The future has a story for our princess. This story would be told over time by those who witness it.

A LEGEND OF THE PRISONER PRINCESS

....Dark smoke fills the air like there have been a festival of burning coal but this is no celebration of any sort as a matter of fact it is the exact opposite. This is the smoke from Natalie burning kingdom. Natalie and her sister is being taken to her abductors den. She glance at her sister not knowing what to say. Not knowing what to think but instead her sister did the talking. "We need to escape" she said in despair. Escape! Natalie said aloud in her head,her brain refused to understand the word in as few seconds. Well it soon did and gave the long awaited reply to her sister.

But how she whispered like a frightened child who is waiting for her mothers reassurance. I have a plan her sister said in a more convincing voice than the later.

Plans, Good. She wondered if had been a plan before the siege , all these wont have happened.

Who could she blame, none of these was suppose to happen but it did.

There was a terror of silence following as Natalie looked from sister to soldierand from soldier to sister , she was almost convinced that it had worked and he had decided to let them go. The sound of the foots of the other soldiers surrounded them.

Two of the soldiers had come for her, she struggled as they captured amidst frantic effort, she fought in between their arms but they quickly overpowered her. She had lived a princess this whole time. She could not fight with fists or use swords either. Nothing braced her for the horror she was about to see as they dragged her back from her faux escape. Her eyes became heavy as she saw her sister with bloodshot eyes and the sword used to stab her at her chest. This was too much to bear she said to herself repeatedly.

Natalie reached down to the only sibling she knew. Like a flash , memories from their childhood till now played in her mind, tears steaming down like waterfalls, her sister moved a little when the felt Natalie hands on her face. Is this a glimmer of hope Natalie thought to herself." Natalie" her sister struggled to say. You are okay, l was scared, don't worry I will save you, you will be okay, we will escape together when we make a better plan Natalie said rather quickly. I can't do that anymore, but you can you have a chance to escape and rebuild our kingdom.

What are you saying, we promise to be together forever, just recover first we would do it together natalie said, she was almost loosing her mind, one thing is to be captured but seeing her sister die in her arms was excruciating.

I don't have much time, take this bracelet, she held it in Natalie's hands. This is the royal bracket given to the next ruler, you are going to be Queen for us.

The soldiers watched her like there was staging a drama. When they had enough of her dramatic presentation. They all prepared to continue her journey. The leader came picked her from the floor where she lied still. Then he finally said

said "you can't stop what the sun god has approved. Accept it, this is reality now. Let get going unless you want to end up like her.
