Prince Of Red

Jack attempts to open his eyes to only be blinded by intense brightness.

'Arghh... So bright.'

He thought.

Jack pondered, he knew that he died. His best friend brutefully killed him. The friend who grew up together with him. They shared a brotherly bond. At least he thought.

In the end, his friend killed him. For a reason, he didn't know. He still doesn't know the reason.

'Am I in heaven'

He thought again.

His surroundings are too bright to observe. Everything was insanely blurry.

He might not be capable of seeing, but his hearing is excellent. He can hear any sound in the room.

"Here is your baby miss."

A voice sounded. It sounded like a middle aged women's voice.

"My baby..."

Another voice penetrated my ear. It sounded younger.

"My Baby!!"

The same voice sounded with a taste of hate.

"Get it away from me!"

She threw the baby out of her arms like a 'hot potato'. She wanted nothing to do with that child.

All while Jack is thinking, 'What a hateful mother.' His distrust in people grew.

The older women thankfully caught him and brought Jack in her arms.

"Ma'am, you can't just throw a baby."

She scolded.

"He can die for all I care."

'What a b*tch'

Jack thought.

'You throw your son like trash and even want him dead? This world is crazy.'

Jack began to think about his future. Will his father take care of him? No, my father doesn't even show up to my birth. Will I end up in an orphanage?

Jack didn't know what to expect. He is just a newborn without any power.

3 years have past... He has been living in a large courtyard for 3 years. He hasn't heard of his mother since. A maid has been assigned to take care of him.

These 3 years have been insanely boring for Jack. He can't leave the courtyard, no one comes to visit, and the maid only takes care of my basic needs like food and water. She doesn't play or even try to start a connection with me.

I've been thinking about breaking out and running away but I'm still too small for that. I can barely run for 5 minutes without getting exhausted.

I'll have to wait until I'm 8 or 10 for a chance to escape.

2 years later...

Jack recently turned 5 and he felt some sort of Awakening. Some kind of power waking up inside of him.

*Lesser Vampire

*Zombie

*Ghoul

*Skeleton]

"Hmm... What is a Wight?"

He asked.

[Wights are a form of undead creature. They are wretched husks of their former living selves, baring chalk-white skin and prone to committing acts of hatred and violence upon the living.]

"OH... I won't have a human appearance?"

[No...]

"That won't work then."

Being a ghoul also won't work. Jack doesnt want to start eating humans. Zombies have an undead appearance, he will not be able to live in a human society without getting killed.

Skeleton is an obvious no...

"I choose lesser vampire."

[Granted... 3...2...1...]

"Arghh... So painful!"

Jack was hit with pain all over his body. His bones made many cracking sounds, his eyes bled, and his teeth started to fall out.

He was in intense pain. Jack gradually fell into an uncouncous state. His heart stopped beating as if he has died.

His skin turning paler by the second. Jack's finger nails grow sharper and longer. His black hair gathering strands of silver.

It took a few hours for him to regain consciousness. Jack found himself lying on his bed.

"How did I get here?"

'Must have been the maid.'

He thought.

'The maid found an unconscious little boy bleeding out of his eyes and writhing in pain and only puts him on his bed? '

Do they not care if I die?

Jack thought.

So, will they care if I run away?

He was thinking about escaping this prison until a strand of sunlight touched his arm from the window.

"Ouch..."

Jack exclaimed as the sun touched his arm. It burned off some of his flesh but after a minute, it healed back.

Wow this insane regeneration.

He knew the benefits of becoming a lesser vampire but also the cons.

He can't touch the sunlight or he will die. If his head or brain is cut away from his body, he will die. I'm guessing that I can evolve and attain more benefits from the vampire evolution.
