Chapter 50: Slave

Chapter 50: Slave

When I woke up I felt something tight around my throat. I couldn't touch it but I knew that whatever it was, it wasn't good.

I looked over to see the elf sleeping on my bed of leaves while I slept on this hard wall. I hope this doesn't affect my growth…

I tried moving over to see if I could grab her knife but unfortunately she had it under her dress.

I felt like I had the power to get it anyways but as for the courage? Not so much.

She's already cut me once, who's to say she won't do it again? Besides… I can't go in there… It's a scary place.

After a few minutes of contemplation I finally decided to find the courage to grab the knife.

I crawled to her feet and decided to lift her dress just a little bit. I couldn't use my hands so I was stuck with using my feet.

I tried grabbing it, and after a few tries I finally got a hold of it… until I dropped it.

That was fine until I started to panic… I accidentally ended up kicking it with the point in her direction… in other words…

"Aghhhh!! Rah! Rah! Aghhh!"

Ahh whoops I just stabbed her in the hooha… My bad.

On that note, her screaming rah rah sounds kinda funny doesn't it?

Maybe that's the point? To make swear words sound as barbaric as possible. What a neat culture.

While I was thinking that I just watched her bleed a lot from her cooch. It went pretty deep too…

It's going to hurt a lot when she needs to piss from now on.

I grabbed the knife after it fell out with my bare hands and started running.

After 20 minutes or so she finally managed to find the courage to stop crying, but by that time I was already gone.

I couldn't take the dungeon core with me but she clearly needed it and hopefully she'll be dead by the time I get there.

I accidentally hit a major artery so she'll probably bleed out by the time I get back.

I went deeper into the jungle until I found somewhere to hide. It was a small crack in a large tree. I decided to hide inside of here and see if I could cut myself loose.

Once I was done and my hands were no longer bound in rope I looked at the knife covered in blood and examined it. I was going to put it away until I heard a notification.

[CONGRATULATIONS! WHO HAVE STOLEN A: MITHRAL KNIFE]

[CONGRATULATIONS! YOU HAVE WON A PRIZE!]

[CONGRATULATIONS! YOU HAVE RECEIVED 1 POTION OF SUGGESTION!]

Why are these notifications so loud?!

What even is this thing?

After a brief second something happened, a shining light went off in front of me and dropped something.

It was a glass bottle with a pink liquid inside. I didn't know what it was but I felt like it would be a good idea to keep it on me.

I looked at it for a second until something popped up in front of my face. It was some kind of screen, it gave me the details on the potion and asked me if I wanted to sell it for dungeon points.

For now I think I'll keep it. There's no telling if this thing can come in handy.

I looked at the screen only to remember that I was in fact a dungeon core/master. I haven't been able to figure out how to activate it but I guess all I needed to do was spill some blood on it.

I wish I figured that out sooner. For now I need to get some proper sleep.

…

I don't know how long it's been but I kept feeling something around my neck getting tighter and tighter. When I opened my eyes I saw an elven woman glaring at me like she was about to murder me any second now.

Her dress was covered in blood and she was pale as a ghost but she still managed to find me, but how?

Shit the feeling around my neck. It's a collar! She must've done something to it.

She dragged me out of the tree by my hair as I felt like the collar was getting tighter and tighter.

I could barely breathe at this point and she finally let me go when she saw something pink and sparkling in my hands.

She yanked it away and began dragging me again. I thought she was going to kick me again but I guess it's hard to move her legs.

A few weeks passed, and the elf had a fever for a while but she managed to get over it with some aloe she's been using as well as that ring.

Normally I'd be excited seeing a hot elven woman lifting her dress in front of me, but THAT? That mess would give any man erectile dysfunction, I wanted to throw up at one point. Heck, she had thrown up a couple times already.

The smell was just awful. The puss coming out… I feel like I'm going to be sick.

A few more weeks passed by before I knew it. She had me working in the garden most of the time. We ate nothing but plants. I was so starving though. She hadn't let me eat that much in weeks.

I was exhausted. Eventually I collapsed on the ground in the mud where I stayed until I felt a slight squeeze on my neck. The elf is watching me from the hut. Squeezing her hand to let me know that I need to get up.

There is something seriously wrong with this lady.

After a few minutes of rest I finally got up and decided to look out at the ocean. We were pretty high up on a hill so I had the ability to see from many angles.

But today I saw something. I saw a ship. No, I saw many ships, dozens even. They were all headed this way.

I continued looking until I felt the familiar squeeze on my neck and blood dripping down my throat. I guess the elf couldn't see from her angle.

I looked her way but I didn't say anything. I just kept silent, hoping for something to change.

After a few minutes I saw the ships heading around the eastern side of the island where we couldn't see them.

About a few days later in the dead of night I snuck out. I've been kept prisoner because she knew I wouldn't escape. There's nowhere to hide and there's no reason to. This is our life now.

At least it was.

I had hid the dungeon core in my original home under some dirt and soil, because I didn't trust the new people and I figured the elf would be too dumb to realize I hid it right under her nose.

So I left, it was a long trek but I knew she was a heavy sleeper, especially after she ate those herbs. I assumed it was for the pain.

I quickly went into the sea to wash up, right after cutting the ropes on a sharp rock. I needed to look presentable. I don't know if I can trust these people so I need to show off my capabilities.

Fortunately, that idiot elf didn't realize that every time she untied me I was messing with the dungeon menu. It was always brief, and I was usually always carrying tools in my hands but I was always planning this from the start.

At first I started out small, I expanded my dungeon territory outwards rather than underground. That way I could gain dungeon points from the local wildlife and after the visitors came it became a major boom in dungeon points.

I can't say I'm rich but I had enough to buy some new clothes and food from the dungeon shop.

Once I was done I started hiking to where I saw the ships last.

I've explored a good portion of the island already so I know my way around. I say this place is a jungle but honestly it's not that bad. Those grass mammoths are everywhere so they eat a lot of the plant life. Also I think they're vegetarian, they like to come to the farm sometimes and bring fruits in exchange for some potato-like plant I'm gardening.

I say this because one of them is walking next to me, offering a ride. Fortunately I had a few potato slices in my pocket to give him. So that's what I did.

After about two hours of riding I reached a good distance to the settlement where I was welcomed by a group of elves.

Shit. Let's just hope they aren't all assholes like the last one.

Unlike her, these guys actually seem pretty curious about my arrival. I was expecting hostile glares, pitchforks and torches. Instead I found children trying to play with the mammoth.

Also… I could understand them.

I don't know why or how, but it seems they speak English.

"Wow! So big! Can I ride?!"

"So cool! He has such a large tusk!"

"Mamma can I pet him?!"

They hadn't built any walls yet so I mostly just strolled right in. The adults were a bit weary but for the most part they wanted to watch how things turned out first.

It wasn't long before a group of old looking elves came over and asked me who I was and what I was doing here.

My response was questionable but still solid and I didn't bother lying.

"I… am the… master… of this island *cough* *cough* I was captured… by an elven… criminal… she's been… using me… as a slave… *Cough* *Cough* she's tortured… me… protect me… *Cough* and I'll… build you… an empire…"

My throat! Aghh, that lunatic didn't heal me correctly. It hurts just to talk but I need to make sure my message gets across.

As one final point I quickly went into my dungeon menu and selected the option to remove the trees in the area and to build a large wall that even this mammoth wouldn't be able to break down so easily.

"Keep her… away… from me."

Speaking took so much of my energy. Everything hurts.

I just wanted to sleep for a bit. I wasn't safe here, I knew deep down I wasn't safe, but I couldn't stop myself from falling asleep and falling off of the mammoth.

As I drifted to sleep I heard voices all around me shouting for a healer.
