"Well that may be true but that facts are he experience this Time connect you speak of and I don't want it happening again" Eshir stated, her eyes gained a dangerous glint usually not present in their verbal arguments.
Alzeor recognised it as the women being serious about her threats and understood that it didn't matter whether Faith having a time connection was impossible or not. Her son had suffered and Eshir would be out for blood if it happened again.
'Sorry Faith, but you're defiantly not getting any more siblings' Alzeor lamented before pulling a transparent ring out of his pocket dimension, which unlike Faith's was provided via the Ring on his hand that signified his right as the ruler of Dragon kind as a whole.
Tossing the ring to Faith, who shyly caught it Alzeor scooted back to his Wife, seeking comfort from the scary demon. Faith inspected the ring finding runes on it that he hadn't the slightest clue of.
'Well, I guess this works' Faith thought sliding his index finger through the ring which promptly shifted in size to match his fingers size.
"I swear that overgrown lizard only knows how to piss me off and nothing more" Eshir muttered returning to her seat while wrenching Amethyst away from the candle once more.
"I think dad was just confused, a lot of things about me don't make sense" Faith said, his tone a little sad.
With Ruby and Amethyst passing the 1 month mark awhile ago and neither of them gaining magic it became apparent that Faith was a special case even among other Royal dragon-demon hybrids. To be honest Faith found it quite lonely, to be different from others even those that were born the same as him brought a feeling of isolation that Faith hated.
'If I had to guess its probably because of my special case with Reincarnation and keeping my memories' Faith reasoned, although to Luna his thoughts had stopped with "Because".
Faith found out quite quickly during their time together that Luna couldn't hear any thoughts related to or about his previous life. He assumed from what he'd gathered along with what his Father told him That he wasn't actually that special of case gaining his magic so early but rather it was simply because he already reached the required mental age.
While sitting and waiting next to his mother Faith realised that unlike most of the other rulers including Alzeor, Eshir had no intention of socialising, instead choosing to play with Ruby and Amethyst. Looking at the room and gulping down more then once Faith came to the conclusion that if he wanted to socialise using his mother as a anchor would not be an option.
'Well there goes plan A… Plan B it is, Luna I hope your ready' Faith said, standing up while prepping the tools he needed for Plan B until…
'Faith I'm not helping and as I told you before, DANCING WILL NOT CONNECT YOU TO PEOPLE' Luna shot down his dreams, with frightening accuracy.
'But dancing is the communication of the soul!!' Faith snapped back.
'And also something you suck at!! Also head ups, theirs a silver head chick dead ahead that's defiantly coming towards you' Luna replied, remembering all the time Faith had spent in front of earnestly practicing while reminding him of the stranger he had yet to notice.
Faith strung his head up, keeping it at a stiff straight angle as he stole a glimpse at the stranger before shifting his gaze to the very interesting ceiling, not daring to chance meeting her eye to eye.
The silver haired young girl, Faith guessed was probably around the age of 12 or so yet he had no real way of knowing kept up her stride towards him, eyes unmistakably dead set on him despite how much Faith tried to deny it.
Her stride brought her to to Faith's table in a matter of seconds preforming a slight bow before introducing herself to the tables residents.
"Greeting, I am Reasla Bloodborne, the second princess of Vampire kind. It's an honour to meet peers of the great demon race" She spoke, her words elegantly rolling off the tongue like a cooling breeze.
"I'll assume you have business with Faith and not myself correct?" Eshir stated uncaring for the girls status, such thing seeming meaningless in the eyes of a demon who's society was only ruled by the strongest of their kind.
The girl with her pale skin and bright red eyes nodded in confirmation before staring dead ahead at Faith as if waiting for something.
'SHIT!!!! What does she want!!!' Faith screamed internally, his nerves firing all at once as he racked his brain.
'Probably a greeting' Luna replied answering Faith's worries like an angel.
'Thanks luna, love you' Faith replied to which Luna nodded her head from his pocket in approval.
Faith mustered all the courage he could to look her dead in the Reasla dead in the eyes before standing and giving a slight bow. Faith replied on the expert control over his "Mask" he'd developed during his previous life to not seem insincere or rude. It wasn't like the time with Krus where he had age, a common goal, magic or even his mother's rivalry as an ice breaker and worse yet the diplomatic relationship between Vampires and demons were fantastic as of now and Faith didn't want to mess that up.
"It's lovely to meet you Lady BloodBorne, Feel free to call me Faith. I doubt I can live up to the name and title I possess, Hope you can forgive me for my faults as your junior" Faith spoke, stringing off words with a confidence that came from god knows where.
'Luna I owe for the save' Faith thought into his soul spaced, echoing back to luna.
'That's alright, I'll just take half of your dinner as compensation' Luna replied, salivating at the thought the food due to be served at a council of rulers.
'… Sometimes I question which of us is the demon' Faith muttered into his soul space, not letting his drop in mood effect the radiant mask he wore.
"My, your quite the little gentleman aren't you. Since we're peers you may address me by whatever name you please but for the sake of Fairness I must say I'd prefer if you simply called me Reasla" Realsa spoke, still inwardly impressed at the little hybrid in front of her.
If rumours were to be believed then staying quick on her feet and taking his words with a grain of salt were the smartest thing she could do. Despite his outwardly friendly appearance Realsa didn't doubt for a second that Faith far more of a monster then anyone else in this room including his mother. At least Eshir was open like a proper demon but Faith was different. In Realsa eyes he was unmistakably cunning and clearly manipulative while having neigh perfect control over his impulses and emotions.
'He's humble even though dragons are meant to blindly wield their pride and he's calm even though demons esspically children should be outwardly violent, what a little monster' Realsa noted impressed by the child as she compared Faith's behaviour to his sisters who clealy had no control over their impulses.
He looked like the picture perfect version of a slightly demonic young gentleman with his picture perfect suit and sword hanging on his waist denoting his Devotion towards a discipline of combat.
"Thanks, would it be a bother if I asked why you've come here. I assume it wasn't just to introduce yourself?" Faith asked, his seamless and genuine looking smile unnerving Realsa only a little. She had expected him like this and he surely wasn't a disappointment.
Meanwhile…
'I AM ON A ROLE TODAY' Faith shouted to himself, his mood brightening by a second as he slowly found his footing in small talk with Realsa.
"Ahh yes, I was wondering If you'd like to join the majority of us high lineage heir's. Anyone from the age of 5 - 18 have been invited to the terrance, supposedly its for us of the younger generation to learn how to get along with the Light-dark cattle early. As terrible as it is there isn't much we're able to do about it" Realsa informed him, her voice gaining a venomous tone near the end.
'Hey Luna I've just had a very striking realisation' Faith thought.
'And that is?' Luna replied.
'Whats the chance that all of the heirs are just pompous pricks?'
'Probably a lot'
'I'm starting to think my capacity for friendship is just non existent' Faith lamented, realising his situation wasn't as sunny as he pictured.
Realsa seemed nice but from that last statement and the way she'd been eyeing his neck rather ominously Faith's trust in the vampire had decreased significantly despite it starting already low. She was clearly a little bit pompous but as of now Faith's options were between her his long time best friend known as isolation.
'A little bit of pride never hurt anyone right, I'm sure its fine' He thought… not knowing how wrong he was.
