An: hey guys. I know I know another day another unfinished story starting. 🤷
In truth I'm just trying to create one I'm happy with. I like the primordial part of the tvd universe and want to bring it into the main story. My last attempt was a little rushed.
I was thinking about it and decided with the upgrades and originals there were far too many vampires in the story. I want to plug in an oc who's on their level but as a wolf.
The how and why will be explained when we meet a witch powerful enough like the Bennett in Georgia or Esther when she tries to kill everyone. For now, I'm going to be introing this to see how I actually feel when putting words to the page.
I appreciate any and all support. I'm just trying to have fun with concepts I have that I haven't seen anywhere else. See ya!

I wake up with hands down the worst headache. It feels like my head is trying to split apart. Flashes of memories run through my inner eye like a movie on a screen.
People I don't know with feelings of familiarity.
I see myself in the driver seat of a car with two people in their late 40s are asleep in the passenger and back. Something tells me I should look outside. Out the window to my left is a huge full moon. Strange. It's more beautiful than I ever thought it could be. I shake off my admiration and look towards the road. After turning back around I see headlights coming my way.
I try to swerve but it's too late. Right before the impact happened though darkness cut in.
The next scene I'm in the woods. I'm running and I feel free. There's only one problem… I'm moving far faster than I remember being able too. Again I look to the beautiful full moon.
This time however, instead of simply admiring the beauty of the celestial body, out of my mouth comes a bone chilling howl that echoes across the entire vicinity.
Lastly I see a river. I quickly make my way there to try and figure out what's going on. Why I can see so well. Why I can move so fast.
I'd prepared for a lot of things. The last thing I thought ended up being my reality.
Staring back at me in the reflection of the slow moving water is for all intents and purposes a fictional being. One that shouldn't be real. Yet I could feel the wind on my body. Smell the surrounding Forrest and the storm moving in a couple miles out.
Everything being so visceral only strengthened my belief that as impossible as it sounds I'm staring at a werewolf.
Pitch black fur and baleful red eyes that glow like lanterns in the night.
I fall back away from the bank of the river and again the darkness overtakes my vision. While I would be angry about this earlier, now I welcomed it. Hoping above hope that what I'm enduring is a crazy dream and nothing more.
——————————————-
I slowly come back to consciousness after that Insane dream to the warmth of the sun. While I'm normally annoyed by its relentless presence in the morning, today I'm thankful for such a thing. Without it I may still have been encased in that dream.
Like rusted window shutters my eyes are slow to open and even slower to adjust. The normally blinding visual problems that come with waking up are especially bad today.
I chuckle to myself and mumble out loud, "can't all be good right?"
As my eyes are adjusting I begin to stretch and pop all the stuff joints and muscles. Surprisingly I feel good. Better than good. I feel great. The normal popping and pain that accompany years of playing football are gone. Though only 22, playing since the age of 8 or 9 definitely takes a toll on a body.
I've just graduated college with a law degree and am ready to step out into the world.
At least I thought I was.
————————-
My now working eyes see my naked body in grass in with trees all around me. I spring up into a standing position and check my immediate surroundings trying to explain why I'm naked in the middle of the woods.
Had I still been in college such things wouldn't be too weird. Afterall, it's college.
But I'd been out of there for a while now and haven't had a real party since graduation months ago.
My eye sight is incredible. I've always had good vision, but it seems more than. Just like me. I'm naked in the middle of the woods yet I'm as comfortable as could be in a bed.
I begin walking. I don't know why or where but I need to find some clothes and then ask someone some questions about what the hell is going on. There are no woods of this size and density anywhere near my house.
The sound of rushing water reaches my ears and my steps become faster. Anyone who knows anything about survival knows everything moves towards water. If it can follow where this moving water leads to I can improve my chances of finding out where I am.
I see a river eerily familiar. I don't know why but I have a bad feeling.
Said feeling is comfirmed when a few dents in the dirt by the water catch my attention. I make my way over with my gut doing summersaults.
When I reach the waters edge I know why. There in the slightly wet dirt are two huge doglike hand prints with claws clearly visible on each of the five toes. A bit behind them are two more massive dog like paw prints.
I begin to freak out and rush to the water to wash my head and try to calm down. My dream isn't feeling so dreamlike anymore. I still have the same face thank goodness. With so much uncertainty I don't know how I'd feel about not being able to recognize myself.
I decide to make a checklist in my head.
1.) Find out where I am.
2.) find out how I'm here.
3.) find out what exactly that dream was about.
With this in mind I begin to breathe calmly again. Lists help me keep things in order. A way to balance the chaos you know?
I begin my walk down the river. Piece swinging, trying to come up with a story that someone could believe other than the classic, 'I woke up and don't remember shit.'
I see a campsite in the distance. But the bad thing is I can smell blood too. A lot of it. Again? Another freaky thing I'm trying not to think about until I have pants and socks on.
———————————
I arrive to a grizzly scene. A single tent with a couple inside. Blood everywhere but seemingly to stem from their necks. Upon closer inspection I can see fang marks there.
Seriously? Werewolf dreams weren't enough? Now I see a vampire scene? I breathe in and out and decide to just go with it. I grab the backpack in the corner that's clean and begin to dig through.
Inside I find a pair of pants, socks, running shoes, and a hoodie. Deciding to at least be decent I dress myself and search the dead guys pants for a phone. I find it, grab it with my sleeve hoodie and try to get something from it.
The old school blackberry looking device is not what I'm used to. I'm used to the new iPhones in the 2020's, I haven't seen anyone use one of these since my grandma back in the early 2000s.
After taking a few seconds to reorient myself with the dinosaur technology, I find what I'm looking for the calendar. I click on it to see its December 25, that's perfect. Right exactly the day after I last remember.
Unfortunately that's all the good news. Because beside the familiar date Is a crazy date. 2009.
I begin to piece together everything I remember thus far:
1.) car crash
2.) weird wolf thing
3.) vampire death scene
4.) supposed time travel?
It dawns on me my situation may be a little more serious than I originally thought.
"Well, this is unexpected."

An:something quick. Sorry. I've been stuck on the TVDU for a while. Just need someway to express the ideas I have.
