Chapter 4 - I'm Sentenced To Death for nothing and I Blame Apollo

And then I heard "PERSEUS JACKSON, YOU ARE SUMMONED TO OLYMPUS IMMEDIATELY... POSEIDON BRING HIM OVER!!!" a voice which I was sure was Zeus's boomed. WTF did Jake do?

Without asking I was grabbed by the arm and flashed to Olympus. Once we got there, immediately I was tightly bound with chains. I couldn't even move, I could only speak. What's a mortal being bound for? Can I even hurt you guys?

I opened my eyes to find the whole Olympian Council and Hades and Hestia glaring at me. 

"Why am I in chains?" I asked. 

"Perseus Jackson, you've been accused of aiding Gaia, Tartarus and the giants and the titans as their spy in all the previous wars in the second Titanomachy and the second Giantomachy,  how do you plead? asked Zeus. 

The Olympians leaned forward for my answer, "Innocent, milord", I replied. What a stupid question though, how could I be the spy when I was among those who thwarted their plans? 

"Very well, Heracles come out and give your testimony against Perseus", said Zeus again.

"Yes, milord. I was hunting Gration and Orion as I heard rumors that they both had escaped from Tartarus, so I found them and beat them up and interrogated them they informed me that they were hunting Artemis as they heard she was alone without her hunt, so they were going to attack her and take her as a wife so I asked her who gave them this news and they said it was Perseus Jackson son of Poseidon, so now I'm here presenting my case" said Hercules. 

Bro, if you want to lie, weave a perfect airtight story. It sounds stupid, no one's gonna believe that, I thought until I was proved wrong. And besides, I don't have Titans and Giants as closet friends.

"Very well, Perseus do you plead guilty?", 

"No milord", I replied. Asking me goddamned unnecessary questions, how would I know the location of a God?

They all turned to look at Apollo, their lie detector, "is Perseus guilty?", asked Zeus. I saw Heracles glare at Apollo and the coward glared in fear. 

"Guilty, father", he replied. Really? Apollo, you're a fucking Olympian, how could you be scared of Heracles? 

In the background, I could hear Zeus droning on and on about how since I was a threat to Olympus, I must not be let run amuck.

I sent my thoughts to Apollo, 

"Apollo, know this when we meet again it will not be on drinks or for jokes when next I see you, it will be my sword colored with your ichor, you chose your life over the truth, or I may decide to forgive you, this I swear on the Styx", I projected my thoughts to him and smirked when I saw him gulp in fear.

It was then I started listening to Zeus's monologue. I heard "must be killed", I rolled my eyes and said, 

"I'm sorry I couldn't hear what you were saying, I zoned out". I heard some snickers and muffled laughter, Zeus turned red from anger, or do I say golden?

He called for a vote for my death, a vote for my death? Seriously? After all, I had done, couldn't I have been trusted just once? How could they easily believe Heracles and not me?

Anyway, Zeus, Ares… I wouldn't say I didn't expect this, Apollo… I probably shouldn't have threatened him, Hera… don't know the reason, Aphrodite… for ruining her favorite ship… excuse me, lady! voted for me to be killed.

Artemis… because I saved her life once decided to keep me though she was disappointed, Poseidon - fuck you, man! because I was once his son… sorry old coot but I still don't feel any gratitude, Hestia… because she's Hestia, Athena… because she knew the truth and felt guilty and I was no longer Poseidon's son

The remaining stayed neutral: Hades, Hermes? Hermes?!, Dionysius… not that I expected shit from him, Demeter and Hephaestus.

"Perseus has been sentenced to death… By my lightning bolt!", he said with a look of delight on his face. Like father, like son, I thought.

"Any last words?", he asked, summoning his master bolt.

"Yes, I have some choice words for some people here, could you please summon the Hunters, Romans and Greeks, and Nico here as a last request?"

He probably didn't notice the lack of address I gave him, no Lord, Zeus, or whatever. Zeus - 100 : Percy - 3. I was catching up.

He nodded. In a snap of fingers, they were all there, looking a little disoriented. 

I cleared my throat, all the attention turned to me, the Greeks were glad to see me in chains apart from Clarisse, the Romans were confused seeing their ex-praetor bound in chains from head to foot, The Hunters had mixed expressions, Thalia was angry. 

"Now you all listening, know this if you had listened to me and paid more attention to your children, you Gods, but no you wouldn't listen to a mere mortal, if you had paid attention to your children you would have seen how I was treated like trash by your children, know this Camp Half-blood, Zeus, Poseidon, I won't forget this, Jake when you see me again your head would be gone the next second, Romans thanks for the wonderful time I spent with you, Apollo I told you, don't forget, Oh and Hercules we will surely meet again. Lady Artemis, Lady Hestia, and Lady Athena thank you for voting for my life. So Zeus are you ready?", I said, I don't know why I felt like I had to explain myself to Artemis but I did.

Oh and Lady Artemis I'm no spy, and why I would have information about the Hunt is beyond me. So as they say, hit me with your best shot and Poseidon I will never forgive you for disowning me for no reason, and Clarisse, send my greetings to Chiron". She nodded.

As I was saying this, I felt someone trying to break down my mental barrier, so I Iet the person in, 

"I have plans for you young one, not yet your time to die, I'll fake your death," said the male voice in my head, so I said

"If it's not evil then yes". So the last thing I heard was Thalia and Nico screaming "NOOO" before I saw darkness.

Percy's Thought:

Oh! How I had fallen, I could only be sassy in my mind, the shame! The horror!

Hermes disappointed me, so all those times I spent being a mailman meant nothing?

Notice how I didn't thank Poseidon?

Notice how I didn't mention Annabeth or even look at her at all?
