Chapter 3 - The Last Straw

I had finally returned from my quest for Athena, she said I had to redo the twelve labors of Hercules, it should probably be called the Twelve Labors of Percy now and that's not all, she also said I should find a way to get the Olympians Blessings, all this I completed in a year, the blessings I received from the Olympians were:

Zeus: the ability to fly and minor control over lightning.

Poseidon: increased power over water and minor sea monsters

Hera: ability to read minds and mind messaging

Aphrodite: ability to change my appearance and a handsome boost

Ares: ability to use any weapon

Athena: she made me smarter

Demeter: Ability to eat and make more cereal and grow plants

Artemis: Ability to shoot arrows better

Apollo: Ability to see twenty seconds into the future and heal.

Hephaestus: Ability to summon celestial bronze and imperial bronze and build whatever you set your mind to

Dionysus: immunity from insanity and mind barrier

Hermes: Ability to sneak into anywhere and hide your aura and superspeed.

Hades and Hestia even gave me their blessings also

Hestia: Ability to summon home cooked 

meals and control fire and fire travel.

Hades: Ability to summon and control skeletons and shadow travel.

I also gained partial immortality. I somehow made sure the powers did not work using Hermes's blessing when they asked me to practice. A certain God said it was because I was already too powerful that their blessings didn't work, he wanted to kill me.

So after accomplishing the tasks, I decided to return to camp. On the way, I got a vision of Annabeth kissing Jake, though I didn't believe the vision, I was still feeling insecure.

So as I got to Long Island Sound I immediately paid the Uber driver and ran into Camp elated that I'm finally meeting my Wise Girl and proposing to her, as I entered I was kinda expecting the glares but in the glares, I could see... pity. Hasvv Jake's spell worn off? I thought but I canceled that thought cause if it had, they would have been sorry.

I was shocked but I just shrugged and walked to the Athena Cabin and knocked, I heard a 'coming' then Malcolm opened once he saw it was me, he said

"Oh, it's you", looking at me with contempt.

"Can you call me Annabeth, I've got a surprise for her"I said, already feeling expectant for the expression on her face when I proposed.

As I said this, I saw the pity in his eyes, that damned pity again! Don't pity me, tell me why you pity me!

"She's at the beach and Percy… nevermind", he said breaking off what he wanted to say, I should probably have hounded him and asked him what he wanted to say but I was really excited, I was finally seeing my Wise Girl after 1 year.

I thanked him and walked to the beach- who am I kidding, I fucking ran over. But I was in for a surprise…

Most of the campers were at the beach, crowding around two people, I couldn't see their faces yet. They were shouting "kiss!", "kiss!", I scanned the beach for my girlfriend among the crowd, I didn't see her but I saw Jason, Piper, Leo, Calypso, and Will Solace.

I had a sudden feeling that I should go into the middle of the crowd, so I started shoving my way through the crowd until I got to the middle and what I saw was probably my worst memory of that place…

I saw Annabeth and Jake making out. Nah… she couldn't be the one, she wouldn't do this to me, I thought but Nah, it wasn't like Annabeth had a twin.

"Why?! Annabeth!", I asked, my body trembling from the pain and heartbreak.

She broke away from their kiss, she and Jake cuddling, when she saw me, she looked shocked, she smirked saying,

"well, Percy Jackson, as you can see you already old news, all the campers hate you, And I thought I don't want to lose my friends by dating a loser, so I said sure why not break up with you, so here I am, I, Annabeth Chase, Daughter of Athena hereby break up with Perseus Jackson, son of Posei- ", 

"point of correction, Athena spawn, former son of Poseidon, emphasis on former" growled a voice I identified as my father's. Former son? Really? Even you Poseidon?

"Dad, what do you mean? why?",

I asked desperately and sure enough, he said the very words I feared, 

"I, Poseidon, God of the Seas, Stormbringer, Earthshaker, hereby disown Perseus Jackson as my son, I remove my Godly Blood from his veins from hereon let him be a mere clear-sighted mortal", suddenly I felt unimaginable pain. 

Then everyone started laughing at me. The rest of the Seven came forward "I can't believe I ever looked up to a pathetic human like you" said  Leo, 

"How could you ever dream that Percabeth will come to pass, my mother herself supports Jakeabeth", said Piper, 

"I can't believe I ever thought that I loved you, Leo is much better than you", said Calypso.

Jason just glared at me, I assume he has nothing to blame me for. 

Had the spell really gone that deep? Or were these their true thoughts?

Annabeth stepped forward and said, "All this time that you thought I loved you, I was only using you for fame". That was a lie, no one could act that well but it still shattered my heart. 

Then Jake stepped forward close to me and whispered in my ear, "I once told you that I'll destroy your life, well my boy I've finally done it, well before you go live your mortal life I've got a little surprise for you, 5...4...3...2...and here we go" he said almost psychotically, I shuddered.

And then I heard...

Percy's Thought:

The hands reach far, even to the Gods?

There I was a mere mortal once again, disowned by one who called me his favorite son and my love also brought down by nemesis.
