Cowardice.

BOOM!

The moment Kenjaku and Rakan clashed, their mana surged through the entirety of Jeju Island, alerting every hunter in the area.

Being pushed back again from the clash, Kenjaku stuck his trident in the ground, stopping the momentum caused by the attack.

Rakan didn't let up. He immediately appeared behind Kenjaku and kicked him through the wall, sending him flying across the Island.

SWOOSH!

Before Kenjaku could recover mid-air, Rakan appeared again with both hands clasped above his head, smashing Kenjaku into the ground below with a powerful sledgehammer.

BOOM!

The impact created a massive explosion the ground, resulting in a large crater that spanned almost a quarter of Jeju Island.

Standing over Kenjaku's seemingly unconcious body, Rakan grabbed him by the neck, picked him and said in a menacing tone, "Tell me what I want to know, you puny creature. Or I will have your rip out your guts!"

There was no answer from Kenjaku for a while and Sillad, who was just watching from the side this whole time, appeared.

"Everyone here is just so weak. Let's take him back to our domain. We need to dissect his body and figure out why 'His' mana is coming from him."

Suddenly, Kenjaku opened his eyes, his gaze cold, but calm as he looked at the two Monarchs.

"So...that's all the Monarch Of Fangs is capable of huh? I didn't even put up my guard against those attacks, yet you couldn't even break my skin. How...disappointing."

SWOOSH!

The air seemed as if it had gained sentience as it started itself around Rakan, pulling him away from Kenjaku. Rakan felt like invisible hands were holding his body hostage as each of his limbs were restrained by a fearsome force.

In the next moment, Rakan just saw a hand being laid over his eyes as a voice said, "1000 Holy Spears."

A picosecond is all it took for 1000 gigantic spears to materialize and strike Rakan's body an innumerable amount of times, sending him flying across Jeju Island.

Immediately turning his attention to Sillad, Kenjaku moved like a ghost as he appeared behind the monarch, perfectly in his blind spot.

Being the King Of Snowfolk though, Sillad was familiar with this technique. In fact, he was the one who invented and made it inherent to his snow Elves.

Even still, Kenjaku's speed made it impossible to completely dodge his thrust from Longinus.

Sillad was thrown back into a wall, most of his abdomen completely eviscerated from the small part of Longinus that nicked him.

The elf spit out some blood and stomped on the ground, causing a massive stream of gigantic ice blocks to sweep across Jeju Island, seemingly hitting Kenjaku in the process.

"Tch. Just like Rakan, useless."

BOOM!

Longinus burst out the ice first with blinding speed, piercing Sillad in the chest while pushing him back through multiple walls.

Kenjaku wasn't even holding Longinus anymore, just the force from him throwing had Sillad on defense, the elf trying his utmost to stop the overbearing weapon.

When Sillad gripped Longinus in an effort to pull it out of his chest, he screamed in pain as his hands exploded in a burst of crimson lightning, as if the weapon itself told him he was not worthy.

Just as Kenjaku was about to follow up, a white wolf appeared out of nowhere, it's massive claws smashing him away before he could react.

"You're back huh, beast?"

"I'll kill you, wretch!!"

Hearing Kenjaku's nonchalant response to his new form and maximum power, it triggered something deep with Rakan. A primal anger that he only felt at his own weakness against Ashborn and the Dragon King.

'Hm...that blow cracked my exoskeleton.'

Just as he was about to recover, Sillad appeared in a younger, more capable looking form, impaling Kenjaku through the chest with a massive Ice Trident.

"Relinquish the treasure you possess. Such an important item cannot exist in your mortal ha-"

Kenjaku broke the trident in half with a swipe of his forearm, causing him to fall to the ground. His eyes cold, but focused, Kenjaku ignored the gaping hole in his chest and outstretched his hand, causing Longinus to appear within his grip.

"Quiet. Don't act like you won just yet. The fight is just beginning."

SWOOSH!

Kenjaku rushed forward and clashed with Sillad, trident to trident.

CLANG! CLANG! CLANG!

The battle between them shook the entirety of Jeju Island, as water and ice clashed at the epicenter of their bout.

"Urgh!"

Appearing behind Kenjaku like a ghost, Rakan smashed him away with another claw, but this time, Kenjaku guarded it and only took minimal damage.

"Let's finish him!"

The two Monarchs didn't hesitate to join together and pressure Kenjaku with an onslaught of lethal attacks.

Every cell in Kenjaku's body was being pushed to it's maximum capacity at this moment.

It took everything for him to parry and constantly counterattack the two Monarchs while minimizing the damage on his body.

After all, against fighters of this level, even constant regeneration had its limits.

BOOM!

After being blown back through multiple buildings by a combined attack from Rakan and Sillad, Kenjaku instantly sprang off a building, destroying it in the process of using the momentum to rush right back at them.

This time, he took a different approach. Six long metal-tipped spider legs shot out of his back, catching the two Monarchs by surprise.

This, in tandem with Longinus, caused the level of his offense to increase by tenfold.

"Dammit!"

Feeling the oppression caused by Kenjaku's attacks, Sillad jumped back and waved his hands in a wide arc in front of him, sending out a large column of ice at Kenjaku.

Before Kenjaku could act, Longinus vibrated without his command, sending out waves of silver light that enshrouded the ice and the surrounding ocean of Jeju Island. Even the raindrops coming from the sky were enshrouded by this strange light.

In the next moment, the ice summoned by Sillad avoided Kenjaku and made a U-turn right towards the caster, immediately encasing the monarch in his arctic powers.

The ocean started to surge over the borders of the island in the form of a rampaging flood, quickly covering the landmass and Rakan in its fury.

The seemingly harmless raindrops turned into fierce bullets that could pierce anything while under Longinus's control.

The only one unaffected by all of this was Kenjaku. As Jeju Island sunk underwater, he found that he could breathe, move and even talk as if he was on land.

Looking down at the trident in his hand, a look of realization appeared across his face.

"I see. You're telling me use you the right way. I'm starting to understand why a part of you existed in the sea while we were in that space. Longinus...I apologize for my own foolishness."

With a wave of his hand, Kenjaku caused the water to take hold of Rakan, who was struggling to get a hold of himself after Jeju Island was plunged under the ocean.

The water wrapped around his limbs in the form of aquatic tentacles that were stronger than any material that the monarch had ever seen.

His expression quickly changed from anger into fear as he found himself unable to even move an inch in this situation.

A glimmer of hope reached his beastly heart when he saw Sillad approaching Kenjaku quietly from behind in an attempt to stab him, but that was quickly extinguished as a massive, mutated shark appeared out of the depths of the clean and devoured the monarch without a trace.

Rakan couldn't talk.

He couldn't move.

Pain assailed his body from the raindrops constantly penetrating his skin.

The Monarch of Fangs could feel it, he was on death's door.

Could anyone save him at this moment?

With another wave of his hand, Kenjaku caused an air bubble to appear around Jeju Island while pushing the water out of it.

With this, Rakan was free, as his restraints had been lifted.

Kenjaku stood face to face with man as he knelt on the floor, his body shaking with fear.

"I apologize, oh great one! Let me leave this planet and I will never return! I promise, no monarch will ever come here again! Please, just let me live!"

King Of Beasts.

Monarch Of Fangs.

The Greatest Hunter In The Chaos World.

These were the titles given to Rakan during his time as a Monarch. But yet...

Kenjaku looked on in disgust as this supposed Monarch groveled and begged for his life like a beaten dog.

Gripping him by his fur, Kenjaku pulled his head up and said between gritted teeth, "I wanted to give you a chance, to see if you were still the same Rakan that I remember."

BOOM!

Lifting the large wolf up with one hand, Kenjaku slammed his flailing body into the ground, causing the beast to howl in pain.

"Unfortunately, you're still the same pathetic coward that always runs away. Grovel. Beg. Cry. It doesn't matter what you do. I will not let you live past today."

A silver aura surged from Kenjaku and covered Rakan, causing his body to rapidly deconstruct itself on contact.

Since Monarchs and Rulers were spiritual beings, absorbing them with biomass couldn't work. Therefore, only Kenjaku's original soul absorbing ability was effective.

"ARGGHHHHGHH!!!"

Rakan screamed and howled in horror as his entire existence was absorbed by Kenjaku. There was nothing he could do about it. Nothing could save him.

Several moments later, a large pillar of red mana burst forth from Kenjaku's body as a second heart appeared in his body. Veins popped up across his exoskeleton, showing a telltale sign of the struggle his current body took on to contain such power.

As a result, Kenjaku went through another evolution. One both physical and spiritual. He grew about two feet taller, his entire body got more muscular and his silver mana had now gotten a red tint inside of it.

Kenjaku's senses had reached a whole new realm now. He could smell things hundreds to thousands of miles away, his hearing had reached a similar level and his physical abilities...while untested, he felt the massive increase. They were immense.

Not to mention, he felt a connection forming to every landbound beast across the planet and in the world of Chaos, increasing the range of his senses to untold levels.

"Who knows how strong I've become. Is this how Antares feels with his dragons and Ashborn with his shadows? It feels like I could take on the universe."

BOOM!

Just a simple swipe of Longinus leveled several city blocks with the ensuing shockwave alone.

At this point, only the strongest of the strongest could stand against him.

Now, unless more Monarchs showed up, the National level hunters were his targets.

But, before that...

"I need to visit a certain monarch that was dragged to the depths of my oceans. He needs to deliver a message for me."
