Time To Court

In the halls of a certain courthouse in City H, the cold click of heels on marble floors could be faintly heard, but the sharp sound they produced could not be compared to the frigid beauty who wore them.

Adorned in a black dress suit that complemented her short stature with long black hair that perfectly framed her face, and plum-like pink lips that were set in a thin line with exquisite eyes ever so slightly narrowed, Tang Fei painted the perfect picture of an apathetic goddess, but no one would ever know the true reason for her icy appearance was her overwhelming annoyance.

On her way to discuss things with Secretary Leng she had already felt a bit peevish because of brain dead fans in-game, but she just had to run into Deng Zhao and his lawyer who seemed insistent on proving that she would lose the case… she just hoped they knew narcissism is a disease…

And to top it off her snake of a boss wasn't satisfied on seeing her in-game, and just had to attempt a few flirtatious lines before she was even halfway towards the holy savior of light and warmth that was Secretary Leng!

So when she finally arrived in Secretary Leng's embrace it took all she had to keep from collapsing in exasperation.

"Wahhhh Brother Leng I've been wronged!" Tang Fei wailed as she dramatically plopped onto the office's couch.

Readjusting his glasses Secretary Leng opted to stay silent as the future madam rolled around on the newly installed leather couch. After a while, Tang Fei eventually calmed down and with a light cough, she began to speak.

"Ahem, now that we've outed the mastermind and prepared the case I just want to go over a few of the details before we begin." The case had originally just been about finding and persecuting the software pirates, but now that they'd found out Fei Hua was the mastermind they'd have to take her to court as well with the additional charge of blackmail; though to alleviate stress from her own case another lawyer was assigned to take care of it.

Overall the only thing she had to do was present her argument in court, and get the judge to sentence the desired amount of prison time and fees for Deng Zhao.

After waiting for the jury to arrive the trial finally began. Originally Deng Zhao felt rather confident when he saw his lawyer neatly severing his connections to the matter with a few well-placed lies, but that relief didnt last long after Gan Mei was called up to the witness stand. At first, he was assured that she couldn't say much if she didnt want to implicate herself, but after a while, he quickly realized that as long as Gan Mei didn't give explicit details on her involvement she could portray herself as the poor friend who could only watch as their sworn brother fell into the dark side of the world.

Coupled with Tang Fei's quick reasoning and observations the outcome of the case was swiftly decided, and Deng Zhao was facing a fee of 1.5 million yuan and three years of jail time.

Tang Fei found it extremely satisfying to watch his face change colors as he was dragged out of the courtroom to settle his charges; it almost reminded her of a painting.

With a hum, she began packing up her materials, and swiftly exited the courtroom only to bump into something rather hard on her way out of the building. Groping around Tang Fei felt the object was quite familiar, and after looking up she found she had walked herself right into the sturdy chest of Leng Youyuan. 'I actually ate my male god's tofu…. this is why you look first and grope later!' Having abandoned any logical thoughts of why the boss might be there, Tang Fei began to panic.

After a few seconds of awkward shuffling, she scurried backward with the most demure expression she could manage, only to find her male god was slightly blushing??? His eyebrows still had the usual twitch of annoyance, and his lips were undoubtedly pulled into the usual stern line, but his cheeks seemed to be dotted with a light shade of red… 'Maybe he has a fever?' Tang Fei inwardly settled on this conclusion and prepared to show off her companionship skills by offering to take care of the big boss.

"We need to talk."

Leng Youyuan's deep voice reverberated in the courthouse walls, practically shutting down any cheesy lines Tang Fei planned to utter.

Hehe...

(Sorry for the short court scene. I’m still unclear of some details of a trial, so I kept it short and vague to avoid any misunderstandings.)
