As Aylin got out of the carriage, the large and beautiful courtyard of the King's residence came into view, and she had to stop herself from gasping.
Her gaze locked on the flowers; they were as bright and vibrant as the summer sun itself, blooming in every conceivable color and shape. They glistened like diamonds in the early afternoon sun and the water splashing from the fountain, which came from an unknown source, made a delightfully musical sound that echoed throughout the area. It was incredible. She wished she could stay right where she was and stare all day.
"It seems like Thea has been taking extra care of the Palace gardens," Rhea commented with a snort as she got down from the carriage and took in her surroundings.
Aylin turned to her, squinting her eyes against the sunlight. "You weren't joking when you said the princess was in love with flowers and greenery huh?"
