As soon as Aylin left Kian's study, she went straight to her room and stayed there until dinner. Partly because she wanted to absorb and understand what she had seen, and partly because she wanted to give time to Rhea and her friend since they would have a lot to catch up on. Though Rhea had shown annoyance during their conversation, Aylin could see that they were close.
And perhaps… because she didn't want to be near Nathan or whatever his name was yet. She didn't want anyone hitting on her, even if they were handsome and looked like almost every girl's dream. That was the last thing she needed right now.
Sighing, Aylin walked towards the balcony doors and opened the glass panels before stepping out. The afternoon sun warmed her skin gently. The soft breeze ruffled her hair as she leaned on the balcony railing, gazing out at the serene landscape. The rustling leaves and the distant chirping of birds created a peaceful ambiance that helped soothe her racing thoughts.
