Who wanted the time off?

It was late at night as usual—cuz these lot always have to go through these rigorous night shifts, when Veronica stepped out of the office. And at that point, she didn't expect to see Sam over there waiting for her.

"Oh! Sam! What are you doing here?" She asked, looking all surprised.

"What? Can't I wait for the person that I'm dating?" He asked back.

"I mean, yea… But it's not like you usually do that. Also, what's up with 'the person I'm dating' thing? Like, you do know that I'm fine with it if you called me your girlfriend, right?" She shrugged.

"Wait, you were fine with it? I mean, I clearly remember you wanting to take it slow and stuff." Sam spoke.

"Seems like you're forgetting a chunk of the conversations that we had following that particular conversation. I wonder why." Veronica mumbled.

"Yea, I guess… But, it's just… Here's the thing, yea? It's hard for me to call you my girlfriend." He replied.
