A long talk

"What happened?" Jane asked Sam, who looked very disappointed.

"Umm, I fucked up. I fucked up massively." Sam replied.

"Is this about the glitching you did last night? I mean, it's all fine since it happens to anyone." Jane shrugged as she said that.

"Nah, it's not that." Sam shook his head. 

"Hmm, then is this about you getting screwed over into taking all those extra late shifts?" She asked, to which Sam once again shook his head.

"Then what is it?" Jane asked.

"It's about the leave of absence I took." Sam sounded really down as he said that.

"Why are you sad about that? I mean, you got a well deserved day off. You should be happy about it more than anything!" Jane spoke as she tried cheering him up.

"Well deserved day off, as if! The leave of absence that I desired so badly for was used on a sick day." Sam was almost on the verge of crying at that point.
