Chapter 92.

Morning arrived by the time we reached the forest and by then the fire was already put out thanks to my Water Pokémon who met us at the edge of the forest, I happily gave everyone a headpat and a Pokepoffin as a treat.

Everyone took a few pictures with them and even gave them headpats, Kurokawa was very taken by Milotic and was giving her a lot of attention, Kuribayashi was petting Vaporeon.

The men were however gushing around Suicune who just stared at them amusingly, Pops was the only one who wasn't overly excited about the Pokémon's but he still gave them a headpat.

I knew they were trying to keep their minds away for what they saw happen last night, I don't blame them for doing so and I was glad my Pokemon were able to help them a bit.

But soon enough everyone got their serious faces on and we began to make our way inside, Serafall quietly spoke to me "what do you think about the Flame Dragon we saw?".

I hummed a bit "it was a young Dragon at best and not very powerful, in fact with the right weapons and gear this unit can kill it".

Serafall nodded and we both continued forward, while everyone walked through the burnt forest, thanks to me and the Pokémon, the forest didn't get to much damage from the fire.

In time, it will recover and go back to its previous glory, but it will take some time, however I wasn't too worried, nature always has a way to survive and thrive after all.

As we got closer to where the Mayor of Coda Village said that we would find the Settlement, we could see how the ground was still steaming from the heat of the Dragon's fire-breath.

I looked around for a bit "be careful everyone, it seems the Dragon heavily attacked the area, the ground might be super heated".

Everyone nodded, Pops frowned "so the Dragon did attack the settlement... I wonder why?".

It was a good question, one they were all wondering, but as we got closer to the settlement we quietly began to search for survivors, though I knew there was none but one.

Tomita looked around along with the rest of the JSDF and couldn't help to comment "Rean is right, the ground is still hot...".

Kurata who was looking around nodded "it'll be a miracle if we find any survivors".

Everyone split off to take a look around, Serafall and I only found burnt corpses, they looked like charcoal from the intensity of the Dragon's fire-breath "at least it was a fast death, they were almost instantly turned into ash".

Serafall nodded and looked around, meanwhile Yōji walked further into the area with Kurata following close behind, he immediately noticed a few corpses "Commander, its...".

But Yōji sighed "don't say it... I know".

Kurata nodded and continued to follow Yōji, meanwhile Pops clapped his hand and sent a little prayer to the dead "rest in peace...".

We spent some time searching the area for survivors and eventually we decided to leave, I noticed Yōji sitting by the well and getting a report from Kuribayashi, about what everyone had found so far.

Plus how difficult it would be to bring the Dragon down with their current weapons, they would need special ammunition, but that means the have to go to base first and get it.

Yōji also wanted to report that Dragons can attack settlements in this side of the GATE, a very important fact that they should all keep in mind.

I walked up to them, it was time to let everyone k ow about the survivor "hey Yōji! I'm sensing a weak energy signature around this area, have you've seen anything?".

Both Kuribayashi and Yōji turned their heads towards me, Yōji frowned and shook his head "no, I haven't seen anything, are you sure?".

I nodded "yeah, give me a second to take a better look".

I closed my eyes and used my Aura Sense, it didn't take me long to find who I was looking for *just like in canon... she's right inside in the well, she seems physically okay, so far".

I opened my eyes and then walked over the well, both Kuribayashi and Yōji followed and watched as I created an orb of purple light and dropped it inside the Well.

My orb of purple light slowly drifted down while illuminating the inside of the well, soon enough it stopped falling and illuminated someone floating in the water "oh! there's the survivor".

Yōji and Kuribayashi gasped in surprise, Yōji suddenly yelled "Holy shit! there really is a survivor down there!."

Kuribayashi suddenly spoked up "we need to get that person out right away!".

I nodded and then used Psychic to slowly lift the survivor up, both Yōji and Kuribayashi stared at me in surprise but snapped out of it and immediately went to get Kurokawa, who was the Medic in the team and the first aid gear.

Soon enough, I had the survivor out of the well, Kurokawa immediately told me to take her to the back of one of the LAVs and I floated the survivor into the LAV right away, once there Kurokawa began to check her.

Kuribayashi and Serafall went inside the LAV to help, while the guys stayed outside, Kurokawa checked the young woman, which was revealed to be an Elf thnaks to Serafall "her Vitals are steady!... we need to get her out of these wet clothes".

Kuribayashi nodded and took a pair of scissors "I'll have cut them off..." But Serafall stopped her "wait! I have a better way to do this~.

Serafall the snapped her fingers and in a flash of light the Elf was undressed, while her clothes were magically dried and folded to her side.

Kurokawa smiled "that looks very handy".

Serafall nodded and grinned at her "it is! it makes getting ready in the morning a synch~".

Kuribayashi sighed "I'm a little jealous now...".

The woman shared a laugh and then went back to attending the unconscious Elf, though Serafall had gotten the idea to try and warm her up with her body heat, naked that is.

Poor Kurokawa and Kuribayashi, the had to wrestle with Serafall to try 'emphasis on try' to prevent her form getting naked and jumping inside the covers with Elf.

Meanwhile outside, Kurata was loudly cheering "Commander! it's an Elf! and a blonde no less! this I awesome~ horray for the Special Region! I sense good things coming our way".

Leafeon tilted her head and then Vine Whip Kurata right on the ass, causing him to scream in pain, Yōji shook his head "thats what you get and are you into Elves or something?".

Kurata turned his head towards Leafeon and stared at her in betrayal, my Grass Type Pokémon just looked away from him making me chuckle.

Kurata sighed and went back to talking with Yōji , but before he could Kurokawa came running towards Yōji "excuse me".

Yōji immediately turned his head towards Kurokawa and gave her all his attention "how is she doing?".

Kurokawa immediately began to report the Elf's condition "her body temperature is going back to normal thanks to a Warming Spell from Serafall, though we did have to stop her from getting naked to try to warm up the Elf with her body heat".

The guys blushed and then everyone turned to look at me, I raised an eyebrow "what? that's how you suppose to help someone in the verge of Hypothermia...".

Everyone just deadpanned but didn't say anything, Serafall was just wild like that and super random, Yōji then went back to Kurokawa who continued on "err she's out of mortal danger now".

Yōji sighed in relief "that's good".

Kurokawa nodded "then, what should we do with her now?".

Yōji sighed again and then looked up at the sky "good question, let's see...first find me a pair of dry boots!".

Everyone stared at Yōji, not really knowing what to say to him, I just chuckled and snapped my fingers sending a quick Drying Spell to his boots.

Yōji look at his boots and then frowned at me, I just shrugged causing Yōji to sigh and smile "the settlement has been wiped out... we can't just leave her, let's take her back as a Refugee".

Kurokawa smiled "I knew I could count on you to say that Commander".

Yōji laughed a bit "I'm very humane right?".

Kurokawa just smiled "gee I don't know?".

Yōji looked at Kurokawa in confusion "huh?".

Kurokawa then just continued on "I thought it would be rude of me to bring up the fact that you have some odd interests or that she's an Elf".

Yoji looked like someone gave him a Purple Nipple while Kurokawa smiled at him, I couldn't help but smiled "damn... if you want I can give a Burn Heal for that one, Yōji".

Yōji just chuckled awkwardly with Kurata while Glaceon walked up to Kurokawa's side and barked "oh? looks like Kuribayashi is trying to wrestle Serafall to stop her from taking a nap with the Elf, stark naked".

Kurokawa jumped and immediately ran back to the LAV where Kuribayashi and Serafall were in, the fact that it was shaking showed that Kuribayashi was still trying to stop Serafall.

Glaceon then barked at me "... I'm not going to get in the middle of that Glaceon".

Glaceon jus deadpanned at me which I returned with a deadpan of my own, I know better than to try and stop Serafall from her shenanigans, I love her but things do tend to get crazy around her.

Soon enough we took off once again and rode the LAVs on the road heading back to Coda Village, Yōji who was riding behind me while I rode shotgun besides Serafall, who was happily driving the LAV now 'it was the only way to get her to stayed dressed and not warm up the unconscious Elf' spoke up "alright, we're now returning Alnus Station through Coda Village".

Kurata who was now riding on the back, decided to ask a question "hey Commander, we won't run into a Dragon or something, before we get to meet a Catgirl, right?".

Serafall giggled which Kurata ignored with a blush in his face, Yōji sighed and then glare at Kurata "don't jinx it, what if it actually happens".

Serafall just grinned knowing that they don't need to worry about that Dragon, her and I can take care of it easily, it was still funny to see Kurata sweating though.

It didn't take us long to reach Coda Village, Yōji decided to let the Mayor of Coda Village know what had happened in the forest, the Mayor was utterly shocked to hear the news "what? the settlement has been wiped out?".

Yōji tried to explain, but he was having a hard time so I decided to help "A Flame Dragon appeared last night and attacked the Settlement".

Yōji gaped at me "you can speak their language!? why didn't tell me you ass?!".

I jus shrugged and grinned at Yōji "you didn't ask and it was kinda of funny to see you, try to speak the language and sound like your choking a cat".

Yōji gave me the most betrayed looked while I went to speak to the Mayor who was stunned, up until now with what I told him "a Fire Dragon...".

Everyone from the town around us began to panic, which caught Yōji's and the rest of team's attention, so Yōji asked me to tell him about and showed him the Elf girl.

Soon we took him to the LAV where she was resting, I immediately told the Mayor about her "she's then only survivor from the attack, everyone else...".

I shook me head which the Mayor understood the meaning of, he gulped and nodded "just this one girl survived..." he then lowered his head " what a tragedy".

Upon Yōji's request, I asked the Mayor of Coda Village if she could stay in the Village, but he shook his head and told us that they couldn't take an Elf in and that they themselves should get away as soon as possible.

Yōji understood what the Mayor of Coda Village said "abandoned the Village?".

The Mayor nodded "we must... once a Fire Dragon tastes the flesh of humans or Elves, it will keep attacking villages and towns".

The village became a hub of activity as everyone began to pack everything they could to abandon the Village, I stared and looked up at the sky knowing that things were going to get wild soon.

At the edge of Coda Village, by a big and beautiful waterfall stood a cabin, the front door of the cabin suddenly slammed opened, a short old man wearing what could only be called a Wizard's outfit, stepped out of the cabin while carrying a pile of book, complaining and cursing for some reason.

As the old man began to walk down the stairs, he began to lose his balance and then fell down all the way to the bottom of the stairs "ow!".

The old man sobbed and then began to throw a tantrum "it hurts!".

A blue haired young girl turned her head towards the old man "oh? Master, we don't have anymore space on the cart".

The old man then took a look and stared at the cart that the young girl was standing by, the old man then just decided to continue with his tantrum "no! I need my books! Lelei, isn't there anything we can do?".

Lelei blinked and then nodded "certainly, I believe we should prioritize the most valuable books".

The old man stood up and sighed "that's right, you sure are smart, Lelei... but why now? damn that Fire Dragon, waking up fifty years early".

This whiny old man was known as House Wizard Kato, a Magic user who is teaching Lelei, Kato however just continued to complain "look at all the trouble it's causing us".

Lelei however, was too busy with packing everything, so she didn't want to hear more complaints "I wish you would sleep too, Master".

Kota glared at Lelei as he took offence to her words and decided to get even "huh? what do you mean by that? I'm not interested in mounting little girl's like you!".

Kota then blushed and began to laugh "I rather mount a curvy woman like your sister~" Lelei however, did not like what the pervy old man said about her and her sister.

So she pointed her open palm at Kota and blasted him with a blast of wind, sending the Old Wizard to the floor, he then began to get blasted by small orbs of mana, Kota quickly stoot up and tried to calm down Lelei " hey! Magic is sacred, do not abuse it!".

But Lelei did not care and continued her spell, as Kota was now getting pelted continously by the orbs of mana, until one hit him hard on the face and sent him back to the ground.

A few minutes later and after the old Wizard got off the ground, both of them sat on top of the cart and got ready to leave, the old man groaned "jeez, you sure can't take a joke...".

Lelei just stared at Kota and then spoke "I blame you as my teacher, Master".

The old Wizard gaped at Lelei for a little bit and then proceeded to pout, Lelei ignored him and immediately whipped the reigns on the Donkey pulling the cart.

The poor Donkey tried to take a step but was unable to pull the cart and just gave up after a while, both Lelei and Kota stared at the Donkey in silence.

Kota couldn't help but comment "he won't move huh? we must be carrying too much".

Lelei wasted no time to respond "you were the one who said to pack all of this" Lelei pointed at the cart which was full of things "this was to be expected".

Kota sighed and then nodded to himself "not to worry, I am a sorcerer, after all!".

Lelei just stared at her master "isn't Magic Sacred? and not something that should be abused?" Kota grunted at having his own words used against him "those were your words, Master".

Lelei then took out her staff "but in this case, we have no choice" Lelei waved her staff on front of her and the cart began to glow and float, making it easier on the Donkey to pull it.

The Donkey took off walking soon after, Kota then sighed and spoke up "sorry".

Lelei lightly shook her head " it's fine, I've always known, that this is simply how you are".

Back in Coda Village, the villagers were all in carts now and trying to leave the village as soon as possible, this however made quite the heavy traffic to pile on the main road, especially because an accident had happened.

Lelei and Kota arrived and were rather confused as to why there was such a big line on the road, the old Wizard looked rather intrigued "what's going on up ahead?".

One of the villagers noticed and heard Kota's question, so he approached them to tell them what was going on "Master Kota! Lelei! one of the carts was carrying too much, it's axle broke and it's blocking the way".

Suddenly they heard a voice that caught their attention " helping with evacuation is part of our job! Commander Itami! please ask the Mayor to move out!".

Someone then responded right away "got it!".

Lelei and Kota watched as two man wearing some odd green uniform took off running towards the broken down cart was located, Kota looked on in curiosity "I've never heard such a language before".

Lelei slightly nodded "I've never seen such clothes...".

Suddenly another voice spoke up "Kurokawa, make sure no one is injured!".

Kurokawa responded right away "Roger!".

Kota now looked very curious "soldiers? women too?".

Lelei was of course also very curious, so she decided that she wanted to find out more about this strange soldiers "Master, I'm going to go take a look".

Kota looked surprised "wait, Lelei!".

But Lelei had already jumped down the cart and took off running towards where she had seen the green wearing soldiers running too.

Up head, a group of villagers had gathered around the downed cart and the injured, ahead layed a horse on the floor that was whining in pain, in the ground by the cart was also a little girl, who was struggling to breath.

Lelei arrived and kneeled down by her side, she took a closer look at the little girl and frowned "she's in danger...".

Kurokawa soon arrived and immediately kneeled in front of the little girl and began to check her condition, Lelei then watched a young man wearing strange clothes walk, to the woman checking the little girl.

Lelei had never seen a person like the young man before her, dark purple hair and bright purple eyes, he was stall and had this strong air around him, that made her feel very nervous for some reason.

She then heard him talk and to her surprise she understood him "how is she Kurokawa?".

Kurokawa frowned "she has a concussion, she might have a fractured skull as well...".

Lelei watched as the young man kneeled down besides the green wearing woman and gently put a hand on the little girl's forehead "a fracture skull and a concussion geez... don't worry I'll handle this".

Kurokawa nodded "thank you Rean".

Lelei watched as Rean 'she thought this was his name since the woman called him that' nodded and gave her a smile, Lelei then saw something she had never seen before.

As soon as Kurokawa told me what was the little girl's condition, I decided to help, there is no way she could treat this type of injuries here and right now, so as I had my hand on the little girl's forehead I immediately used Healing Pulse.

My Psychic Type energy shot outwards from my hand and engulfed the little girl, healing her injuries steadly and slowly.

Head injures were very serious and it was best to slowly heal them, than instantly heal them with a spell, especially with young children who could go through shock from the abruptness of a healing spell.

Soon the little girl's breathing stabilized and Kurokawa smiled "perfect, she stable now, jeez Rean with you here, I'm not even needed as a medic".

I chuckled and let up my Psychic Energy "don't be silly Kurokawa, I know nothing of medical practice, don't play down the knowledge you have".

Kurokawa nodded, suddenly Pops spoke up to the girl sitting at the other side of the little "you, stand back, it's dangerous here".

But she was to focused on me and Kurokawa "doctors? Healing Magic?".

I raised an eyebrow as I recognized the girl in front of me, I smiled and answered her question " she's the doctor, but that wasn't Magic per say".

Lelei stared at me in surprise but suddenly, the Horse the was downed stood up and began to rampage, but I just smiled since I felt the temperature drop.

Suddenly a wall of Ice sprung up and blocked the Horse from running forward, Serafall then jumped down from who know where and grabed hold of the Horse's reins.

She then pull down and raised her Demonic energy which both scared the horse stiff and calmed him down, once the Horse stopped struggling, Serafall smiled and let up her Demonic Energy.

Which let the Horse calm down even further, albeit scared but Serafall patted him on the neck and smiled at him while also shattering the wall of ice "there, there, everything is alright mister Horse~".

The Horse just grunted and looked down while Serafall giggled, she then turned her head towards me and Kurokawa "is everyone alright?".

Kurokawa nodded, while Pops sighed and gave her a thumbs up "I almost shot the Horse...".

Serafall nodded while I picked up the unconscious little girl in my arms and walked over to Serafall "nice timing".

Serafall grinned while she continued to pet the horse, mean Kurokawa turned her head towards Lelei 'who was staring at me and Serafall in shock' and then asked her "are you alright?".

But Lelei was to focused on me and Serafall, she then turned towards our side as she saw Yōji walk up to us and grin, while telling us that we did a good job, which made the both us chuckle.

Lelei stared at us with wide eyes full of surprises "they saved me...".

After a little while, Kurata, Yōji and I decided to take a short break when Kurata raised a good question "Commander, don't tell me we're going to be taking care of these people forever".

I nodded "well, despite sounding like an ass" Kurata immediately protested with an 'hey' but I just ignored him "he makes a good point, there isn't anyone of importance here, so how are you going to justify this to the base?".

Yōji took a drink of water and sighed "well, about that...I talked to the Mayor about it, none of the Lords in this region ever came back, after they were sent to fight at Alnus Hill".

Kurata huffed a bit, while I just sighed "well, shit..." the JSDF had killed everyone who would have been able to help these people, not really something to feel guilty about, since we were at war.

Plus they attacked first as well, but I guess it did make Yōji feel a bit responsible, that's just the kind of guy he is.

That night, far way and by some stone cliffs, a group of bandits had gathered to plan their next move, as they sat around the campfire, one of them began to tell everyone about the news he had obtained.

The Bandit excitedly smiled " it seems the whole of Coda Village is on the run".

Another Bandit grinned "this is a good apportunity".

Another spoke up to raise a question "do we have enough men?".

The one who had said that it was good opportunity, turned his head towards the Bandit who asked and just smiled "just find more, there's plenty of stragglers left from the recent battle, round them up and we could take on not just a town, but an entire city".

Another Bandit suddenly excitedly spoke "we could overthrow the local Lord!".

The main Bandit chuckled and maliciously grinned "from a Bandit leader to a Lord... I like it! ".

Suddenly, the Bandit leader's head tremble as a squelch like sound echoed throughout the night, the Bandit leader then dropped on the floor dead scaring his fellow Bandits.

However, a giggle caught all of the Bandit's attention, soon a feminine soft voice spoke up "gentlemen, thank you for tonight".

A petit black haired young woman, wearing what could only be described as a Black and Red Goth Loli dress and wielding an enormous battle axe, licked her lips as she grinned at the Bandits "thank you very much for giving your lives so selflessly".

The petit woman suddenly raised her battle axe, which made the Bandits take a step back in fright, meanwhile she continued to speak "the All Father is very pleased with your actions".

In a blurred of speed she quickly cut down one of the Bandits scaring the rest, the petit woman then began to walk up to the Bandits as she continued to speak "the All Father, now request your presence".

In another blurred burst of speed she cut down down two more Bandits, they only had time to grunt in pain before falling on the ground dead, the petit woman giggled again "I am Rory Mercury, apostle of the Dark God, Emloy".

Rory brightly smiled at the Bandits who were now terrified even more "she's one of the twelve apostles! Rory the Reaper!".

Everyone stared in disbelieve as Rory stood right in front of the Full Moon and watched as the light shone on her, the wind gently ruffled her clothes which made the Bandits flinch "she's wearing the Emloy shrine oracle uniform! run!".

The Bandits immediately turned around and began to flee, but Rory just smiled "I don't think so".

Rory, in a single step, caught up to the Bandits and twirled her enormous Battle Axe around her body, she looked like she was dancing in the moonlight, a deadly dance that cut down multiple Bandits in mere seconds.

Rory laughed in glee as she then kicked off the ground and swung her Battle Axe wide cutting two Bandits in half, she then slammed the butt of her Battle Axe on the ground which caused multiple boulders to sprung off the ground.

She quickly batted the Boulders with her Battle Axe in mid air and sent them flying and crashing into some of the Bandits, before they could get too far away.

Rory giggled and pulled back her Axe and with one strong throw, she sent her Battle Axe flying through the air.

The Axe landed on top of a Bandit and killed him instantly, Rory then jumped after her Axe and immediately grabbed hold of the handle, she spun around it, kicking a few Bandits around her Axe and then landed on the ground.

She quickly pulled her Axe off the ground and aggressively swung it down towards one of the Bandits she kicked to the ground.

The Battle Axe crashed on top of the Bandit and not only killed him in a instant but cracked the ground and sent a big cloud of dust and dirt into the sky.

All the while Rory just laughed and smiled as she took care of these lowlifes, all under the beautiful light of moon, who was the only witness to this bloodbath.

The next day me, Serafall and the Recon Three Team, were back on the road and leading the caravan of carts from Coda Village, Serafall, having taken a liking to driving the LAV decided to continue to do so.

Which was fine with Kurata, since he was tired, he had been awake for a while now since him and the rest of the Recon Team Three had been helping with the evacuation.

I sat besides Serafall to keep an eye on things while we let some of the Team rest and recover, it has been two whole days for them afterall, and Serafall and I don't really need to rest or sleep so we were fine.

Kurokawa, was of course checking on the Elf who was still unconscious as after all, spoke up "her Vitals are stable, she should be regaining consciousness soon".

Yōji who was riding behind me smiled and nodded "yeah? thats good".

Yōji then took a look around the LAV and then smiled at the children who were riding with us "still. it's amazing that you can expand the inside of the LAV like this Rean".

I turned my head towards Yōji and grinned "its just a simple Expansion Enchantment, I usually use it on pockets and bags, but they can be used in spaces like this".

Kurokawa looked around, she was still amazed at all the space the LAV now had, given that they had children riding with them, the unconscious Elf, Commander Yōji, Kurata, herself, Rean and Serafall "simple you say? it doesn't seem simple to me".

Yōji nodded "for real! your practically Manipulating Space! that's super cool".

I chuckled "it is, theres all kinds of things I can do but I reckon you'll eventually see me do them later, like I said before, were here to help".

Yōji nodded and smiled at me "your a cool guy Rean, but still... this sucks".

I nodded on agreement since I understood he was referring to the situation with the villagers of Coda Village, Kurata who was riding behind Serafall sighed "do they even have a destination?".

Yōji sadly huffed "apparently not".

Kurata gasped "they don't!?".

Yōji sighed and nodded "being on the run is exhausting".

Behind the entire caravan of carts following the Recon Team Three, were both Lelei and Kota, the old Wizard suddenly complained "I'm so thirsty!".

Lelei turned her head towards her Master "it seems we won't rest for a while".

At the same time, one of the carts got stuck on some mud, but Kuribayashi, Tomita and the owner of the cart pushed the cart and were able to free it from the mud.

This only slowed down the caravan for a bit so everyone was able to continue onwards, I watched all of this through my Aura Sense, since I knew the Dragon was going to make an appearance.

I just didn't know when, but I was not going to be caught by surprise, meanwhile Yōji and Kurata continued their conversation behind us "you could say they're going to keep running, until they know the Fire Dragon isn't coming, it seems".

Yōji leaned back in his seat and tiredly huffed "I guess Refugees are the same anywhere you go".

Some time later, one of the carts broke down and everyone stopped to see what could be done, Tomita checked the cart and then came back to report to Yōji "no good Commander, the Axle is broken".

The Mayor was called and as soon as he heard what was going on, he came to a decision, he shook his head as he said "we would only be waiting to die if we stayed... shoulder what you can and keep going".

This was heartbreaking for the family of three who had to now abandon what little they had, I sighed and walked forward, I raised a hand and as I used Psychic to lift the cart while also used my Ferrokinesis to repair the Axle.

It took me a couple of minutes but soon enough I had the cart good as new, I the turned to the family and smiled at them "there you go, I fixed it but be careful okay? I can't keep doing this to many times".

The family smiled and nodded at me, they quickly went to get their cart ready, Yōji walked up to me and patted my back, I smiled at him "well we can keep going now, but I hope they don't get used to me always solving their problems".

Yōji nodded "your right, we have to be careful otherwise they'll keep coming for your help and thats not fair to you, for now we should get going, the best we can do is give them a hand".

I nodded while the rest of the team smiled at Yōji, Serafall grinned at me, knowing that despite seeming uncaring, I was always willing to help, if I saw anyone in trouble right in front of me, I just rolled my eyes to her and playfully stuck my tongue out her.

She just giggled at me in response, obviously finding my reaction funny.

We went back to the LAV and Serafall immediately jumped into the driving seat with a grin on her face, Kurokawa suddenly spoke "thank you for helping that family Rean, I know you didn't have to, but you did so anyways".

I smiled at Kurokawa "its fine, I only did it because if I left things like they were, we would have been forced to burn the cart down in order to get them moving"

Kurokawa looked down "doesn't that seem harsh? we could have just asked for back up".

Yoji sighed an shook his head "we're behind enemy lines, the enemy might just attack us if they see a big unit moving around their territory, a battle would break out and the villagers would only get caught in it... scary thought isn't?".

Kurokawa looked down and nodded "I see... so you already called base and that's what they told you, like you said, the only thing we can do, is give them a hand".

Yōji grinned at Kurokawa, suddenly Serafall spoke up "huh? there's someone walking this way...".

She narrowed her eyes as she sense something strong from the person walking towards, the person suddenly stopped and sat down, Yōji took a look with his Binoculars, but he was beaten by Serafall who excitedly yellled "a gothic lolita! and very adorable one to boot!".

Both Kurata and Yōji gasped in shock and excitement while I stared at Rory Mercury kneeling down on the road and smiling at us, while Serafall immediately and excitedly waved at her which seemed to amused her because she giggled and waved back.
