Another C-Rank mission 2

The eastern grassland was a huge area filled with tall grass. Every now and then were the occasional trees and small hills. It was the most populated area with Pokemon. Austin and Tobi had to reach the outskirts of the woods, which is further away from where he found togepi.

Austin and Tobi released their Pokemon. Combusken and eevee were released from their pokeballs giving Austin a happy greeting. Tobi summoned kricketone, Graveler, and hoothoot. Tobi's kricketone was actually trained to the high mid class. Graveler was a peak mid class and hoothoot was high low class Pokemon.

Tobi was actually a decent trainer and can definitely reach the B-class rank with a chance at A class. Maybe people still looked down on this twenty year old due to wasting 9 years as a D-class. Austin's Pokemon shocked Tobi as they were much stronger than his. Even togetic was a mid-class monster.

They made their way and fought a few grass Pokemon. Oddish, hoppip, skiplooms, sunkerns, they even found a lotad. Austin told Tobi that this lotad would be a great addition to his team. Tobi defeated it using Kricketune and caught it with a pokeball. Ever since the last mission he went on with Austin in the farm, Tobi trusted Austin's words.

Austin and Tobi reached the cliff where he caught togepi. They saw a wild spearow alone. Once it flew a bit closer, graveler brought down with smack down. Then eevee finished it off with its overpowered hidden power. Austin was really happy for its adaptation ability.

The fainted spearow was easily caught. They were told to catch twenty but were given 50 pokeballs. They passed the cliff area and found a small flock (not sure if I used it right) of spearows. Austin smiled to Tobi and recalled his Pokemon and put on ear plugs. Seeing this Tobi smiled and did the same leaving only kricketone. Then kricktune sneaked at the flock and used sing.

The minute it finished sing Austin summoned his Pokemon to make them faint. He told Tobi they might have a bird type ability known as early bird. This can make these Pokemon wake up quick. Tobi summons graveler and uses mud shot. Although bird types are immune to ground types, that's only when they are flying. Now that these spearow are sitting targets on the ground for graveler.

Eevee also unleashed a 8 hidden power energy balls. It's ice attribute is really effective against bird types. This easily injured these sleeping spearows. They then caught the spearows that fainted and collected the beaks from the ones that were killed. Only 2 spearows were killed and 10 were caught.

They had nine left for mission completion and 30 left to catch 50. They wanted the maximum reward of 800 bucks so they had to catch all 50. The group moves slowly and quietly. They used the same method and ambushed a few groups of spearows. This brought their total to 35 caught Pokemon.

They decided to head back since it was getting dark. They moved towards the eastern gates. A huge figure appeared before them. It roared, "Ursaring!" Austin cursed his luck but summoned Combusken. It was time for it to test its limits.

Austin commanded Combusken to use flameburst and follow up with flame wheel. Ursaring roared and charged straight towards Combusken meeting its attack head on. This was its nature and Austin knew that. The flame bust did damage but didn't slow it down. The flame wheel that followed was broken through as it used uproar. Next Austin smiled and told it to use flamethrower, and to follow up with agility then flame charge.

The flamethrower caused Ursaring to be burned and slowed it down. It still tried to defend with uproar but it wasn't enough. Once it got burned it roared and met the flame charge with a slash. Austin was shocked that it was able to react fast enough to meet the charge. It's slash was also strong enough to force combusken down.

Austin looked at Ursaring with surprise it had both guts and quick feet unlocked. Since it was burned its attack and speed rose by 50 percent. Ursaring charged towards combusken with its arm glowing.

"Combusken dodge with double team and use double kick, follow up with slash." Austin quickly commanded. Combusken dodged with double team and immediately used double kick on Ursaring's back. Then it moved quickly dodging an attack and countered with slash, scaring the ursaring's chest. The Ursaring knew things weren't good and ran off. Austin let it go as they had no time to stand around.

Austin and Tobi ran quickly and finally reached the gates. No trainer below the A-rank and some really strong B-ranks can stay outside the city in the dark. Many strong Pokemon are out at night. That's why most night missions are usually b-rank and higher with the S-ranks on standby.

They signed in with the trainer and returned to the Pokemon center to rest. Austin and Tobi agreed to go back tomorrow since the mission is due the day after. Austin healed his Pokemon and went to sleep. Today was an exhausting day.
