Chapter 24

With Extreme Speed, Rayquaza dodged the assault of Stone Edges, and Origin Pulses Groudon and Kyogre launched. Twisting in a spiral, Rayquaza dodged and shot up to the heavens, followed by a storm of sharp-edged stones and tightly compressed orbs of water. Getting high enough, Rayquaza destroyed the projectiles with a Dragon Pulse. 

Having used Draco Meteor and Dragons Assent, Rayquaza's strength had decreased, special attack diminished and defenses dropped a stage. Groudon and Kyogre knew this and capitalized on the opportunity by attacking from a distance. Volcanos formed, and the hot lava inside seemed like glowing red beacons to Rayquaza, who watched from above. 

The volcanos erupted, and the lava rocketed to the surface to be launched into the sky like a geyser. Rayquza watched as the red beacons were replaced with black dots, the lava going straight to the Phantom Force portals. Some portals formed around Kyogre while others formed around Chandelure. Kyogre countered the magma by diving into the water, avoiding a large amount of red hot burning liquid making contact with the sea. 

The wind ruffled Decidueye's feathers as he hovered close by Groudon. Suddenly the wind picked up, and Groudon felt the change, eyes turning towards Decidueye who brought his wings back and swung them forward. The wind swirled in a violent frenzy, creating a Hurricane, which sucked in all the water around it! With another flap of his wings, Decidueye pushed the Hurricane toward Groudon! Groudon stared at the incoming attack, no fear could be detected as the Hurricane engulfed Groudon. 

As Rayquaza watched, Marshadow appeared on Rayquaza's head. Rayquaza growled as Marshadow jumped to be right in front of Rayquaza's left eyeball. Hovering right behind Marshadow was an image of Atsumu, a smirk on his face and an excited look in his eyes. 

' Yo. ' Atsumu greeted. ' I'll keep this short. I want to join in on the fun to stop those two from destroying the region in their battle. We'll be partners for just a while, so when you see an opportunity to strike with a hard-hitting move, do it! ' 

Rayquaza stared, before looking across the ocean to lock eyes with Atsumu in the distance, wrapped in a robe with a crown on his head. After a few seconds, Rayquaza growled, mouth curving into what seemed to be a smirk as Atsumu's aura grew all while he laughed. 

" Well then, let's dance. " Atsumu smirked, saliva dripping from his mouth. " Marshadow..."

Marshadow used Substitute, creating a copy who quickly used Spectrial Theif to take away all Rayquaza's debuffs before dissipating. At the same time, a large tornado of flames graced the battlefield courtesy of Groudon who blew away the hurricane with a Lava Plume while Kyogre came from the side, riding a Tsunami! 

As the Tsunami approached, Froslass stood front and center, cold whisps dancing in the palms of her hands. Taking a deep breath, Froslass blew the chilling flames, creating a Frost Breath! Spreading across the ocean, water freezes instantly, and an ice sculpture of a Tsunami is born! 

Kyogre avoided getting frozen by getting airborne, staring at the culprit in the distance, and launching a Thunder! A timely Protect blocked the attack as Froslass stared down the Legendary Pokemon slamming through the ice, back into the ocean. Cutting through the water like a knife through soft butter, Kyogre swam straight toward Froslass and jumped to be right in front of her. 

Water gathered in front of Kyogre's mouth, a point-blank Hydro Pump that Froslass dodged. Kyogre went back into the sea and swam to Groudon's location. 

' Kyogre's headed towards Groudon. ' Froslass thought. 

Groudon turned his head to Kyogre's location and growled. Magma poured from the bottom of Groudon's feet, filling the area with burning hot molten rock. Steam filled the area from two opposite elements making contact, Groudon flew forward, riding atop the large wave of magma he brought to the surface. 

As the two behemoths went towards each other, Rayquaza came in from above. Groudon's eye turned to the right, widening upon seeing Rayquaza, left fist locked back, a dense green aura surrounding it as Rayquaza used Dragon Claw! Groudon felt the pain coursing across his entire body as the attack slammed into him! Rayquaza dragged Groudon with him before throwing him far into the distance! A large land mass appeared in the middle of the ocean, stopping Groudon when Groudon crashed landed! 

Kyogre stared in surprise at Rayquaza's interference, but couldn't ponder for too long. From the depths beneath, a large pillar of ice pushed Kyogre out of the water, making Kyogre fly above the enormous quantity of magma Groudon left behind. Chandelure floated a distance away, eyes locked in on Kyogre's form above the magma pit and used Inferno. 

Mixing in with the magma, a volley of spiraling heat encased Kyogre, burning the Legendary Pokemon. Pain spread across Kyogre's body, a shrill audible several miles away, intensified by the addition of Decidueye adding air to the mix, the potency of the attack exponentially increasing! 

Begrudging respect built up in Kyogre's heart, for how long has it been since they have taken damage from a Pokemon other than a fellow Legendary Pokemon? The combined attack was blown away by Kyogre's sheer presence, blasting aura to negate the attack! A damaged Kyogre was visible, not an unconscious one. 

But Kyogre's retaliation was overthrown by Rayquaza appearing to their side, Dragon Pulse armed and at the ready, fired at point blank. A large energy dragon crunched down on Kyogre and like a laser beam, flew straight and true several distances away! 

Groudon shook off the pain, refocusing on the battle, eyes staring at the large pillar of flames in the distance. The view was cut off by a dense volume of water. Gushing forward, the water engulfed Groudon, yet Groudon dung their feet into the ground and stood still, sturdy as a mountain. 

The water soon stopped, and steam started to form as the water evaporated in Groudon's presence. Groudon's eyes stared ahead, focusing on Jellicent and Froslass. Froslass's palm touched the ground and an Ice Beam spread across the field in an instant. A Groudon encased in a large pillar of ice grew annoyed, the heat coming back and instantly dethawed, accompanied by a magnificent roar, shattered the pour icey prison!

Only to be met with Kyogre slamming into him! Skidding back, Groudon bore the brunt of the attack, catching Kyogre with their body. Coming to a halt, Kyogre gave a shrill cry at Groudon who, in return growled! Their back and forth was interrupted as the two looked up to the orange sky, a shadow loomed over them. Their eyes widened, staring at the large meteor headed straight for them. 

Atsumu smirked, arms raised to his sides, his body bent forward, and a bow. 

*BBBBBBBBBOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMM*

Raising his head, Atsumu felt his hair flailing in the wind, but nothing could stop the large smirk on his face, as he basked in the glory, his glory. To his side, the audience stared in disbelief, amazement, and exponential respect. 

" Who are you? " Wallace asked, his tone carrying immense curiosity to know the origins of the man in front of him. 

" Atsumu MIya from the Alola Region. Nice to meet you. " Atsumu responded. " Though, with that said, keep quiet, I need to prepare for the finisher. " 

" ...What the hell is this? " Alain asked himself, his inner turmoil growing, unable to comprehend the information his senses fed him, muttering, " Why am I here? "

" A fight at the pinnacle. " Steven smirked. 

" That was totally wicked! " Zinnia exclaimed, her body unable to sit still on the back of Salamence so she started to flail around, gushing about what she just witnessed. " One second it was water, the next it was lava, and then... a meteor!! So cool! " 

" Hahaha... " Steven chuckled. " I totally agree, this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. " 

" That's great and all, but why aren't they doing anything!! " Alain yelled, pointing the stationary Pokemon in the far distance, simply staring at the dust that needed to settle. 

" I concur. Shouldn't it be prudent to attack further? " Wallace asked. 

" No. That would mess up my grand finale, and right now, this is the best-case scenario to wrap this up. " Atsumu said. 

" Groudon and Kyogre will get back up! They'll use the energy from the rock to recover, we should attack! " Alain yelled in desperation.

" I'm sorry, but... " Atsumu muttered, before turning his head slightly, a cold glare was directed at Alain from a single visible eye, glowing with a dangerous purple tint. 

" Who's the 'We' in this situation? " Atsumu asks. 

Alain flinched, and a cold shiver ran up his spine. The retorts he wanted to speak, were sent back down to be disposed of. They were worthless under Atsumu's gaze. 

Silence followed as Atsumu turned his head back around to the front before he started to speak,

" Understand this Alain and burn it into the deepest synapsis of your brain. 

I'm the one who interrupted, inserted myself, and started fighting in this battle of Gods. 

I'm the one who got us to this scenario!

I'm the one who's got Groudon and Kyogre on the ropes!! 

Do you know what that means? 

It means you're role ended when you were able to summon Rayquaza, so shut the fuck up, stop worrying, and watch from the sidelines. " 

" As for attacking Groudon and Kyogre... " Atsumu said, before tilting his head upwards, " the second meteor has it covered. "

A familiar heat, the same thing was felt when the other meteors came falling to Earth. Staring up at the sky, Alain placed his arm on his forehead to provide some shade for his eyes, as they tracked the enormous rock slamming into Groudon and Kyogre just before they fully recovered. 

" Aegislash, it's time. " Atsumu said, turning towards his floating sword and shield partner, while Alain stared at Atsumu's back, which had no problem withstanding the weight, standing tall. 

Aegislash floated towards the rock floating in the sky and switched to sword form, all before driving itself straight into the energy field. Piercing through, Aegislash wedged itself right into the rock! Aegislash's singular eye glowed a bright red, the energy from the stone rushing into Aegislash's body! 

' Mega stones contain energy from many dead Pokemon of the same species, but for Groudon and Kyogre, they simply absorb the energy from an object that provides a shit ton of potent energy and essentially mega evolve. If that's the case... well, who says we can't do the same? ' Atsumu thought, flipping his locket open, and showing the keystone inside. 

' The bond between Human and Pokemon, that's what's required to keep the Pokemon from losing control after mega evolving... ' Atsumu thought while grabbing his keystone. 

Tendrils made of pure energy erupted from Atsumu and were recognizable to the other 4 who were in the area. Aegislash could feel his body getting strained under the influx of potent energy but refused to buckle under the pressure. Red-eye gazing at Atsumu, and the tendrals heading his way, Aegislash responded in kind. 

Focused solely on achieving his desire, Aegislash created its energy tendrils and sent them to connect them. Dislodging himself from the rock, Aegslash floated in the air as a soft glow enveloped them, the silhouette changing before everyone's eyes. 

As the glow died down, Mega Aegslash was revealed. Towering above all humans, Mega Aegislash became a fusion of sword and shield, accentuated with gold and silver, red and blue gem-like buttons near its singular eye containing a purple iris with a slitted white center. But most prominent, were the four purple ribbons, ribbons similar to the ones on Doublade, each acting as hands and carrying a golden sword, and each sword has an eye on the hilt, and on top of its head laid a crown fit for a king. 

A wave of power flooded the entire battlefield, Aegislash's presence forced all but the three gods to take heed, as excitement grew instead. Atsumu took a moment to admire Aegislash's form, soaking it all in. 

' You look amazing. ' Atsumu thought. 

' I feel amazing. ' Aegislash responded. 

' Want to go for a test run? ' Atsumu asked with a smirk. 

' Yes. ' Aegislash responded with a closed eye smile, all 5 of them. 

' Hey, you guys can come back. ' Atsumu thought as Aegislash went through a Phantom Force portal, appearing beside Rayquaza. Marshadow, Decidueye, Froslass, Chandelure, and Jellicent patted Aegislash on the back before teleporting back to Atsumu's side. Rayquaza circled Aegslash, admiring the new equal. Groudon growled in excitement while Kyogre wanted to tear shit apart. 

*VVVVVVRRRRRRRMMMMMMMMM*

Power, that's what all three legendaries felt at that moment. Looking over Aegislash's shoulder, their eyes locked onto a human in the distance, but he suddenly felt much closer than before! They feel it, a shit-eating grin adorned his face which slowly devolved into laughter while Aegislash gave a malicious eye smile, matching the human. 

On his wrist laid the Z-crystal ring he gained at the beginning of his Island Trials and hadn't been used for a few years, but Atsumu's body know the dances and hasn't forgotten. Performing the dance to use the Ghostium-Z, upon completion, a large influx of energy flew directly to Aegislash! 

The full weight of Aegsiash's intent fell upon Groudon and Kyogre like the full weight of sky had been dropped onto their shoulders! Shadow oozed out from underneath Groudon and Kyogre's shadows, covering the entire area in an instant. Large shadowy tendrils with hands on the ends grabbed the legendary Pokemon and held them in place! 

Groudon and Kyogre tried to escape, either by burning through the purple-black constructs or tearing through them with pressurized water, but sheer numbers overwhelmed them. Groudon and Kyogre lay trapped in the center of a dome of pure ghost-type energy, unable to move. Atsumu raised his hand, making a finger gun while Aegislash raised a sword to the sky before bringing it down. 

To summarize what occurs next, this phase should suffice.

ATOMIC!!!!

The size of the blast was massive, a deep purple hue illuminated the sky all the while laughter from one man could be heard. Loud, demonic, but above all, pure ecstasy, is what could be inferred by those in the vicinity who heard him. 

As everything died down, Groudon could be seen lying in a crater while Kyogre lay belly-side up in the ocean. Aegislash floated above them, closing its eyes as the transformation concluded, returning to its normal form. Upon opening its eyes, Aegislash was met with the face of Rayquaza, who was in front of them and began to speak to each other. 

Atsumu finally came off his high, staring at the shining sun above him with a smile on his face. 

' That felt good. ' Atsumu thought, basking in the pleasant feeling coursing through his body. 

A paw pressing against his face brought him out of his daydreaming. Atsumu tilted his towards Marshadow who was sitting on his shoulder with a paw outstretched, demanding his payment for the work he put in. 

" Couldn't you have waited till later? " Atsumu asked with a smile, to which Marshadow nodded his head from left to right. Atsumu sighed, shrugging his shoulders as Jellicent handed a packet of biscuits to Marshadow. 

*Crack*

Swiftly turning his head, Atsumu gazed at the cracks forming on the rock, which had gotten extremely dim, not unlike before where it radiated energy. The cracks grew larger and larger, till the stone broke apart from the inside. Emerging from the rock, was Deoxys! 

Rayquaza growled, turning towards Deoxys who had appeared in front of Atsumu in a flash. Deoxys stared into Atsumu's eyes and Atsumu did the same, neither backing down. 1 minute and 27 seconds passed by, but to Atsumu, it felt like hours in that situation. Deoxys relented, all before making a single tentacle touch Atsumu's forehead. 

' You're alright. ' 

It was like the faintest of whispers, something that makes you question if you actually even heard it in the first place, but Atsumu knew he heard it, inside his own head. Any way to find an answer was null and void as Deoxys flew away from Atsumu and stared at Rayquaza, who growled from a distance. 

Gaining a cheeky look in the eye, Deoxys made an eye-closed smirk at Rayquaza, transforming into its speed form before disappearing from its position. Rayquaza growled in annoyance, before turning to the two legendaries waking up from their slumber. Rayquaza let out a roar, causing Groudon and Kyogre to walk away from each other and head back to their rooms, grumbling the entire way. 

Rayquaza flew towards Atsumu and his family, staring at them with eyes full of respect, and expressing the same with a low growl. Atsumu smiled as Rayquaza moved to find Zinnia and flew before her. 

" Oh my god... " Zinnia muttered as Rayquaza stared at her. Placing her hand out slowly and instinctively, Zinnia waited till Rayquaza pressed its snout up against her palm. A smile spread across Zinnia's face before Rayquaza backed away and flew up into the sky.

Atsumu watched as Rayquaza flew away, eye surveying the battlefield, illuminated by the sun shining above. A smile came to his face, his eyes closed, head tilted to the vast sky above, as he muttered,

" That was fun! " 

The battle between the Legendary Pokemon of Hoenn has come to an end.

3 chapters on a single day, is there a reason for it? 

Well yes, yes there is. 

It's a statement, my statement, of wanting to be a writer as a career path. I just completed 2 years of Engineering and it hasn't clicked for me. I don't feel excited or passionate about what I'm studying and many things fly over my head. On top of that, I'm... I just feel tired, every day as I drag myself there. 

I don't like Engineering.

I like writing stories. 

I want to keep writing but I need to make a living, I need to make money. 

My parents know that I have a Patreon, which hasn't been active in some time, and due to constant irregular updates, mostly due to college, I can't keep paid members with regular updates and balance between extra chapters on Patreon and chapters on Webnovel. 

My solution to this, taking requests from members and writing what they want to see happen. 

I know how weird this sounds and really, it seems impossible, considering I'm not the most social person. I'm very introverted. But I can write and I hope I can bring your ideas to life the way you envision it, just like how I release chapters for my fanfics, to the best of my ability. 

I... really, really, reallyreallyreally, want to keep writing stories. 

But I can't do it without you, all of you. 

My parents decided to give me a chance. After I graduate, I get a year to try at a career of writing stories for a living, which is a massive opportunity. However, I'm impatient, and waiting for 2 more full years of Engineering to get over first, makes my heart sink at the possibilities. 

I don't want to wait, I want the life I envision to occur, now. 

is it stupid? Maybe.

But, I think Imma gonna follow my gut on this. 

So yeah, this is what I'm feeling and want. And I'd be grateful for you all to give it a chance and try it out because this is what I want.

Will everything go smoothly? Doubt it, but it will get better. I'm not going to give up.
