Camomile Pokemon Center was built 67 years ago after the Indigo and Silver Councils decided to declare the Island a Pokémon Reserve. It was one of the largest Pokémon Centers in the Region of Kanto, and right next to it, was the Pokémon Ranger Base of the Reserve.
Aizen and the girls arrived at the Pokémon Center late last night. They were meant to reach it before 9 pm, but something happened that stalled them for a while. After they reached the Pokémon Center, the girls went straight to bed, preparing to wake up early in the morning to watch all the wonderful Pokémon at the Reserve.
And sticking to their plan, they even managed to wake up before Aizen, who was usually the first one to get up in the morning.
"Calm down, you two." He sighed when the hazel-eyed girl and his little sister pulled him by his arms away from the breakfast table.
"If we don't hurry, we will miss their morning flight!" Anira pouted and dragged him behind her.
Misty followed behind them. And only Sabrina was not present with them at the moment. She had left early in the morning to train her Magby, intending to return by lunch time.
As soon as they stepped out of the Center, they could see large Grass Pokémon flying in the distance. It was undoubtedly a sight to behold. They had not gotten a good look at them last night, but now, they could clearly see how beautiful and healthy these Tropius were.
The girls excitedly rushed forward to watch them closely, and Aizen too was smiling now.
However, unlike the girls who approached the Tropius, he walked over to the side of the Pokémon Center, where Nurse Joy was feeding a group of young Girafarig.
As soon as he approached them, a few young ones curiously walked up to him, and he lovingly stroked their necks and scratched right under their horns.
The Pokémon loved his caresses, and Nurse Joy was happily smiling at him.
"They are all very healthy." He smiled at her and complimented.
"Thank you!"
It meant a lot to her to hear it from someone who was a world renowned Pokémon Researcher, and Joy offered him some berries to feed the Pokémon, which he happily accepted.
There were a lot of Pokémon found in Johto and Kanto Regions present in the Camomile Reserve, which included Tropius, Girafarig, Primape, Nidoking and Nidoqueen, Rhydon, Rapidash, Stantler, Vileplume, Bellossom, and other Grass-Type Pokémon common to both the regions.
Some time later, Anira happily returned to his side, followed by the other girls.
"Brother!" She excitedly called out to him and showed him the yellow fruit she was holding in her hands.
Joy gasped in surprise when she saw it, but then gently smiled at the Orayen Princess.
"Congratulations!" She sincerely said.
"Thank you!" The little Princess brightly said and then showed her brother the special fruit that a Tropius had gifted to her.
It was a Fruit that Tropius bore on their necks, and they were very precious delicacies since a Tropius could only yield six of these in one year. To preserve its taste and prevent the fruit from spoiling, the Tropius must be willing to give it up to someone.
Tropius were very calm creatures and they usually gifted these to little children who were all innocent and harboured no greed for their fruit.
"I wanted one too, but none of them were willing to give it to me." Misty folded her arms on her chest and pouted, and her words prompted Joy to burst out in giggles.
"You should eat it right away." Aizen suggested as he lovingly patted his little sister's head.
"We will share!" She said and then started peeling it.
"Nah, I am fine. You can have it. Also, save a little piece for Togepi. The little one would love it."
"Are you sure?" She smiled at him and asked.
"Yes. You know that I am not fond of things that are too sweet." He nudged her nose and she stuck her tongue at him.
"Your loss!" She then happily shared it with Leaf, Misty, and Joy, saving a little piece for Togepi, who was in the care of Blissey back inside the Pokémon Center.
"Oh my god! It's so sweet!!!" Misty excitedly cried out, and Leaf too seemed to be enjoying it.
Anira rushed inside the Pokémon Center to give Togepi its share, and the other two girls then helped Joy and Aizen feed the young Girafarig.
They were almost done feeding all of them, when suddenly, Leaf cried out in excitement, prompting everyone to turn to look her way.
They found her staring at the magnificent Grass-Type Pokémon with stars in her eyes, and the beautiful Meganium seemed happy to be appreciated by the hazel-eyed girl.
"Magaynium!!!"
"Wow..." Even Misty could not help but appreciate the beauty of the final form of the Johto Region's prized Starter Pokémon.
"I suppose, it is yours?" Aizen smiled at Joy and asked, who happily nodded her head.
"Yes. Meganium was my first Pokémon." She informed them and then introduced all of them to her Pokémon.
"Meganium, the Grass Pokémon. Meganium is a quadrupedal, pale-green Pokémon that resembles a sauropod dinosaur. It has a long neck; yellow eyes; a short, blunt snout; and two stamen-like antennae on top of its snout. The antennae are shorter on a female than on a male. Encircling Meganium's neck are large, pink flower petals with a yellow central pattern and white edges. It has three claws on each foot and a stubby tail.
Meganium's petals release an aroma that calms aggressive feelings and its breath has the power to revive dead grass and plants. Its soothing, regenerative powers can even affect those who stand nearby."
"This Meganium is Male, and already has a Trainer."
Leaf was even more excited after scanning the Pokémon on her Dex.
"It smells so pleasant being around it." Misty took in a deep breath and sighed happily.
"Yup." Aizen nodded to her words and then stepped forward to pat Meganium on its head, which it seemed to love.
"You are a strong one, aren't you?" He grinned.
"Magaynium!!" It proudly nodded to his words, which made everyone around them smile at it.
"Nurse Joy, are there any Chikorita on the Island?" Leaf hopefully turned to look at her and asked.
"My apologies, but there are no Chikorita on the Island." Joy shook her head, and the hazel-eyed girl's excitement deflated after hearing her words.
"Well, there are several Bulbasaur on the Island, if you want one." The Orayen Prince meaningfully said, and the girl widened her eyes in surprise.
"Seriously?!" She hopefully asked.
"Yes." It was Joy who answered her question. "Recently, the number of Bulbasaur and their line have risen on the Island. The Rangers are planning to transfer them to the Kanto Safari Zone for Trainers to catch them the next summer."
"Where can we find them?!" Leaf excitedly asked.
Joy smiled at her enthusiasm and then looked at Aizen.
"Do you want one as well?" She curiously asked, having already checked what Pokémon he had last night when she scanned his Dex on her system.
"I came here to find myself a Grass-Type Pokémon." He nodded to her.
"If you two are fine with it, would you like to take care of the newly hatched ones?" She hopefully asked. "Of course, I can also guide you to where you can find some stronger ones that will be able to help you in battles right away..."
"We will be more than happy to take care of the newly hatched ones, Nurse Joy." Aizen smiled at her and said, which pleased her immensely.
"Thank you!" Joy gratefully said to them. "There were Two Eggs that were abandoned by their parents after they failed to hatch in time. And a Pokémon Ranger brought them to me to take care of them..." She started telling them about the two young ones who had recently hatched, almost two months past their due time. "Both the Eggs were harmed, which was why they failed to hatch in time. We could not use Incubators as well, but fortunately, the Blissey and Chansey at the Center managed to save them."
"How's their health?" Aizen asked after Joy told them the story of the two.
"They are healthy. Rest assured that they have no genetic defects." She assuringly smiled at the two of them.
Joy led them to the backyard, which was reserved for the young Pokémon who had recently hatched at the Center.
She had already asked a few Trainers if they wished to take care of these two, but all of them showed reservations after learning that the Eggs were harmed.
Usually, Pokémon born from harmed Eggs suffered genetic defects and their future growth was very slow, but Aizen had no such reservations.
Leaf, who had always dreamed of having a Bulbasaur could not care less either. And after hearing that the two young ones had already been rejected by others, she wanted to take care of them more than ever.
As soon as they arrived in the backyard, they found two little Bulbasaur playing in the corner with each other.
Tears brimmed up in the eyes of the hazel-eyed girl, who was lovingly looking at the two Pokémon, knowing well that one of them would now belong to her.
She happily accepted the hand Aizen offered to her and followed him to greet the two Pokémon.
The young ones were a little apprehensive of them, but after Aizen showed them his Aura, which the two found very comforting, they approached them on their own accord and happily accepted the Pecha Berries that they were offered.
"So, do you want the brother or the sister?" He smiled at the hazel-eyed girl, whose eyes were fixed on the two Pokémon.
"I want this one!" She pointed towards the one who was happily munching on the Berry that she had offered it, making very cute expressions.
"Okay. The sister is yours." He smiled and then picked up the boy who had finished his Berry very quickly. "We will be taking care of the two of you from now on." He gently said and caressed its head, which it enjoyed very much.
"Bulba..."
The other who had just finished eating her Berry looked at the blissful expression of her brother, and she hopefully looked at Leaf to caress her head as well.
"Bulbasaur..."
Even though she could not talk with Pokémon, Leaf understood what it wanted and carefully picked it up before caressing its head.
"You are beautiful!" She commented, wearing a very content smile on her face.
"Bulba..."
"I am going to introduce you to Anira!" She then happily said and stood up, rushing out of the backyard with her new Pokémon to show it to her best friend.
"Bulba..." The one Aizen was holding in his arms worriedly looked in the direction of his sister, but calmed down when Aizen assured it that Leaf will soon return with her. And then he fished out an empty Pokeball and offered it to the Bulbasaur.
"Bulbasaur, the Grass Pokémon. Bulbasaur is a small, quadrupedal amphibian Pokémon that has blue-green skin with darker patches. It has red eyes with white pupils, pointed, ear-like structures on top of its head, and a short, blunt snout with a wide mouth. A pair of small, pointed teeth are visible in the upper jaw when its mouth is open. Each of its thick legs ends with three sharp claws. On Bulbasaur's back is a green plant bulb, which is grown from a seed planted there at birth. The bulb also conceals two slender, tentacle-like vines and provides it with energy through photosynthesis as well as from the nutrient-rich seeds contained within."
"This Bulbasaur is Male."
"Ability: Chlorophyll."
"Moves Known: Growl, Growth, Tackle, Leech Seed, Poison Powder, Sleep Powder, Vine Whip, and Toxic."
He was more than happy with the moveset even though it did not have anything with big firepower. And since it had only been two weeks since it hatched, the moveset was more than good enough.
"You finally have your Grass-Type Pokémon." Misty smiled at him when he called Bulbasaur out of the Pokeball.
"Yup!" Let's go and see Leaf and Anira.
Rhyhorn and Bulbasaur on the Team!
Can you guess what the last four Pokémon of Aizen's Indigo Team will be? Remember! His Team will only consist of Pokemon found in Kanto and its surroundings.
Hope you liked the chapter! See you tomorrow!
