"You two did well." Aizen crouched down and carefully patted the two little Poison Pokemon, whose horns were leaking some Poison after an exhausting training session.
"Nido..." The two tiredly replied in unison as they panted heavily, sprawling on the ground.
It took them a few minutes to get back up, and by that time, Bliss had brought their lunch to them, which they happily munched on.
"Gengar..." The Ghost-Type Pokemon suddenly emerged from Aizen's shadow.
"How many are there?" He asked and Gengar gave him the details of what he had found.
Aizen had sensed a Charizard flying in the sky last night, who was keeping its eyes on the little Charmander. He had guessed that it was its parent, and out of curiosity, he sent Gengar to follow it and find how many Charizard-Line Pokemon were on the Island. The official statistics of the Island showed that there were over a dozen, but it turned out to be incorrect.
According to Gengar, there were only three Charizard on the Island, and one mother was currently taking care of her egg. The one that had come last night to check on Charmamder was its mother, and the only Male Charizard on the Island was resting deep in the Mountains, as the ruler of its region.
There was another Charmander, and three Charmeleon on the Island, who were on the other side of the Eastern Mountains, busy with their lives. Gengar had not found them, but Aerius had informed him about them this morning.
The draconic Pokemon did not spend a lot of time with their children as they grew up. For all the dragons, it was the survival of the fittest, and once they reached a few weeks of age, their parents would drop them away from their nests to fend for themselves. However, unbeknownst to the children, they did keep an eye on their child as it learned to live in the world.
"Thanks for the work." Aizen smiled at Gengar. "And congratulations on learning Ice Punch."
"Gengar..." The Ghost-Type Pokemon said that it was not difficult to learn and eagerly wanted to learn something more.
"Show me how powerful your Ice Punch is." Aizen erected a Shield of Aura in front of him and asked Gengar to attack it.
Gengar did as asked and immediately coated its right fist in Ice Energy. It only took a fraction of time before the Punch landed squarely on the shield, making it ripple at the impact, and creating a sizzling sound in the air.
"Not bad," Aizen smirked as his shield withstood the attack, surprising Gengar. "That was quite powerful, but it is still lacking."
Gengar was intently looking at its fist that had failed to break the Aura Shield. It knew that the Shield was not too sturdy, but its Punch had still failed in getting past it.
"The speed was fine. You are ridiculously fast, and it would be really hard to improve on that. The amount of Ice Energy you managed to accumulate is impressive as well, and it is not something you can improve on in a few weeks." Aizen said and let his words sink in, clearing up Gengar's mind. "But you can improve on the strength behind your Punch."
"Gengar..." The Ghost-Type Pokemon agreed with his words and decided to work more on its Physical Strength.
"That's great." Aizen was happy that Gengar was keen on improving. "And once your Punch is strong enough, we can start helping you learn Drain Punch. It will be a great addition to your moveset."
The incentive of a new move pumped up Gengar even more, and it immediately left to start with its Physical Training.
Aizen called an end to the training session and joined the girls for lunch. He inquired how their day went so far, and Anira and Diancie happily informed him about their adventures of the day.
The two of them had been exploring the Eastern Mountains, and Anira had catalogued every Pokemon they managed to find. She had even recorded a fight between two Golem which was quite intense and was over the right to mate with a female Golem. She also took notes on how the Pokemon in the audience behaved as they watched the two Golem fight.
Anira had planned on following in her brother's footsteps and becoming a Researcher in the future. She took a lot of interest in all the Research Works Aizen worked on, but she had not found a different topic that would interest her. She was searching for it, but for now, her goal was to further the Research of her brother on Eeveelutions. It was the reason why she had all the known Eeveelutions, whom she had trained since they were babies. And she was one of the most informed people in the world about Eevee and its Evolutions.
Aizen could see that Anira was starting to miss all her Pokemon, especially her Mega Garchomp. She hid it very well, but he knew her the best and could sense even the littlest of the things that bothered her.
The Orayen Princess had Blissey with her, but she had never before stayed away from her Starter for so long. It was finally getting on her nerves, and she was trying to divert her attention by indulging in games with Diancie and focusing on Eevee and Togepi. He could see that she missed flying with her Mega Garchomp, and he decided to call it from Blanc Island the next time they visited the Cinnabar Pokemon Center.
Misty was happy with how well Misdreavus and Krabby were doing in their Training. And she was even teaching them new moves now. The youngest Waterflower informed Aizen about the training plan she came up with for the two Pokemon, and also asked for his input on the plans, which he happily helped her with where he could.
Leaf, today, focused on training Pidgeotto and Weepinbell, and at the same time, kept a keen eye on the little Charmander.
The little Fire Pokemon had gone into the nearby forest in the morning to gather some Berries for food. It was not expecting to be fed again, and Leaf knew that she should let it be for now. She had made quite some progress with it as she had a chat with it, explaining how the move Metal Claw worked. She did not go into the details but hinted that accumulating Steel Energy was the first step in learning the move, which was what the Charmander had neglected to take into account before immersing into its training, resulting in all the self-harm.
Charmander was no longer madly scratching the boulder but was sitting on it and intently looking at its claws, trying to gather the Steel Energy inside them. Now that it had a better idea of what it needed to do, it was even more determined to learn the move. It was so easy to judge by how bright the flame on the end of its tail was.
Aizen excused himself away from the girls after lunch and left with Sabrina to train their Psychic Powers. He knew that Sabrina was powerful, but the raw Psychic Power she displayed, where she could lift even the heaviest of the boulders and hurl them at him as if they were light as feathers, sent cold shivers up his spine.
The Moonheart did not hold back once she saw how perfect Aizen's Psychic Control in the battle was. He was not expending his Power more than necessary and focused on evading all her attacks rather than outright countering them. Since she did not have the very fine control needed to Teleport, Aizen had an advantage over her and harassed her now and then.
Her Alakazam and Delphox watched the two of them battle and made sure that no one on the Island would sense it or disturb them by surrounding the area with a barrier. It was not easy for them and was a type of Training for them as well.
The two of them battled for nearly an hour before Sabrina decided to go all out on Mental Attacks, unleashing a powerful Psychic Wave that threatened to steal Aizen's consciousness away, but to her surprise, he took it head-on, withstanding it even without trying to counter it.
"Sorry," Aizen smirked at her. "Mental Attacks don't work on me if I don't allow them to."
"Why?" Sabrina straightforwardly asked.
She had an absolute advantage over Aizen in the Raw Power of her Psychic Focus, which meant that her mental attacks were very likely to get past his Mental Shields and do the work, but she failed.
"It's my Blood. The Royal Bloodlines are highly resistant to all mental attacks, and even the most Powerful Psychics would mostly fail to get past their Mental Shields." Aizen said. "But my case is a little different. I am absolutely immune to all mental attacks if I keep my Shields raised, no matter how powerful they are, and that is because of a permanent Mental-Link I share with Lyla."
"So her Powers guard your mind." The Moonheart nodded in understanding and did not ask any more questions.
The Orayen Prince and the Moonheart spent another hour testing out each other's limits, and when they returned to the campsite, they were utterly exhausted.
Aizen had a light supper and went to sleep early, and Sabrina too went to her bed. She was totally exhausted, both physically and mentally, and for the first time in a long while, she fell asleep.
