Law of The Jungle

Blake stared at the newcomers with caution, his face getting tense immediately. He put his hand into his pocket and prepared for any situation that might happen. He had bought something for situations like this, a Smoke Bomb.

Smoke Bomb was a item that allowed a pokemon to flee from any wild battle 100% of the time. As for how it worked on real life, once you threw it on the ground it would work like a actual smoke bomb, besides the smoke, you also get ten seconds of invisibility.

The invisibility would wear off if you got near your opponent or attacked, since it's main use was to flee, not assassinations. It's cost was 2000 pokedollars, and Blake wanted to cry.

Saving money was impossible if he wanted him and Riolu to survive, since they had to buy Potions, Ethers for restoring energy, this smoke ball in case they met something they couldn't fight, and worst case scenario he would need to buy a Revive, since potions don't work on fainted pokemon, only Revive worked.

The problem here was the Smoke Ball was a one use only item, unlike in the game where it was permanent. Well it also wasn't available to buy it on the PokeMart in the game.

His hand was in his pockets all the time, as he warily watched the group against any suspicious moves. Fighting here was not a option, Riolu was at a numerical disadvantage

and even if he was strong enough to beat all six at the same time, they could simply hold him off with 3 or more people and take Blake hostage. Humans aren't dumb animals after all.

Anyway, Blake was prepared to throw this thing on the ground and use the Joestar family secret technique at any time. All the six "hunters" were male, some had swords, some daggers, there was also a guy with a spear. All of them looked tough, if this was on Earth, everyone that passed near them would think they were from the mafia.

The group was watching Blake as well, most of them had curious stares since you don't see a girl in a forest like this alone, much less so deep into it. Except one guy, as he looked at Blake beautiful figure, he made a disgusting smile. If you walked outside with a smile like this, random people would punch you in the face.

Blake clenched the Smoke Ball a little harder. If this wans't worth so much he would have already used it. The guy with the lecherous smile suddenly started saying something.

"Hey boss, what if we take this girl and-OUCH" The person besides him, a muscular guy with a great sword on his back and a scar on his left eye, punched the top of his head. By the expression of the one who took the punch, it hurt a lot.

"Miss, sorry about this. Let's treat this like it never happened." Said the muscular guy, who was probably the leader of the bunch.

"But boss-" That guy didn't want to give up.

"SHUT UP." As the boss said that with a cold stare aimed at him, he immediately shut up.

"Let's go." The boss gestured with his hands, and the group followed him, all going out of the river, leaving Blake alone there.

Blake let out a sigh of relief.

"I don't know what the hell happened, but I'm grateful anyway." He didn't need to throw 2000 pokedollars away anymore.

"You know what, I will just head home. These damn wet clothes are going to get me a cold." Blake took out his pokedex, checked the map and headed out back to his "home", he didn't want to stay in this forest anymore for today.

=====================================================

Already far away from Blake, the group was wandering through the forest, searching for who knows what. These guys aren't a group of hunters, they are a group of bandits.

"Boss, why you stopped me at that time? We could have easily captured her." The rest of the group was also curious, but they didn't say anything.

"Are you f*cking retarded? Didn't you notice anything amiss?" The guy who asked shook his head.

"That girl somehow entered the middle layers of this forest all alone, and was somehow relaxed enough to take a bath. We are all so nervous here with six people, all fully armed and all she had was a f*cking dagger." The boss apparently noticed Blake wet clothes.

It must be known that people didn't blindly enter forests like this alone, they did so in groups. Normally the groups had five people in them, two at minimum and with that amount they wouldn't even dare enter the middle layers. The animals here are no joke, a average human stood no chance alone.

And monsters wasn't the only thing you would need to be careful of, this place also had bandits like them who lived off robbing humans instead of killing monsters. Blake thought of this forest just as a farming spot, but this place was brutal.

You could die at any moment at the hands of violent monsters or bandits, and if you didn't like it most people could only choose to be farmers. That's why there were so few girls here, unless they were abnormally strong, they would end up dead or rap*d by bandits, sometimes it didn't even need to be bandits. The routine here was survival of the fittest.

Even then, people flocked to this forest like moths to a flame. It was one of the few ways poor people could change their destiny after all, being a farmer would result in being poor for the rest of your and sometimes your family members life.

The bandit group boss still remembers Blake stare, it wasn't a fearful gaze but one of absolute confidence. Confidence that she could either beat them or run away, and the boss wasn't going to bet. Anyone who goes to this forest middle layers alone could be three things, overconfident, retarded, or a monster just like the ones who lived here.

The former two would've died long ago, so it was obvious what she was. If they fought the boss was sure that she would've defeated them all or ran away to take revenge later, and he didn't want any monsters to take revenge on him.

"I still think we could've captured her, she was alone." This guy still didn't understood.

The boss mentally decided to get rid of this guy, who thought with his lower half. He wasn't a forgiving man and he didn't want people like him to bring trouble to his group.

This chapter was mainly to show how cruel is the world Blake is in.
