Chapter 1: Noah Ryuzaki

On the outskirts of Vermilion City in the Kanto region, a deserted construction site is battered by a nighttime typhoon.

The persistent rain continues to fall from the thick clouds that cover the sky, forming puddles on the poorly drained site after hours of downpour. Strong winds howl through the area, creating an eerie symphony with the rusted steel bars exposed on the concrete.

"Plop, plop, plop," the sound of footsteps splashing through water echoes in the construction site as a group of people in black raincoats appear.

"The signal is coming from here. Be careful, that thing isn't something you rookies can handle. Split into pairs and search the area. Once you find the target, send up a flare immediately," orders a stern man at the front. Despite his large raincoat, his imposing figure is unmistakable. Following his command, the group splits into pairs and begins their search, exuding a disciplined, military-like aura.

A flash of lightning illuminates the sky, revealing a pale mask beneath the man's rain hood, emblazoned with a large "R" symbol.

Two Rocket Grunts, holding flashlights, cautiously navigate the waterlogged site.

"What bad luck, having to be on duty in this weather. It's infuriating, right, Noah?" one grunt complains to his partner in a thick local accent.

"Enough, Takuya. We're just here to do our job. Be careful, and nothing will happen. And keep your voice down. There are wild Pokémon here that are not friendly towards us," the taller grunt replies coldly, casting a wary glance at the several pairs of blood-red eyes appearing in the darkness.

"Tch, it's just some wild Pokémon. We can handle them. Go, Golbat," Takuya sneers, releasing his Pokémon.

A scarred Golbat appears in a flash of light, perching on Takuya's shoulder, its eyes filled with malice and hunger as it stares at the wild Pokémon.

"Enough. Don't provoke them. I don't want to fight in this weather and risk alerting the target. If you disobey, you'll regret it," the taller grunt warns, a chilling menace in his voice. From beneath his raincoat, a snake's head emerges, its cold eyes fixed on Golbat.

After a tense moment, Takuya looks away, cowed by the memory of Noah's brutal strength.

"Let's go. Don't let it happen again," Noah commands, retracting the snake's head into his raincoat and continuing with the flashlight. He pays no heed to the hidden resentment in Takuya's eyes.

Noah Ryuzaki, originally named Liam Nyx, was an orphan from Celadon City. Transported to the world of Pokémon after a bus accident, Liam Nyx was terrified by the lethal creatures he encountered. Adopted by an orphanage and renamed Noah, he adjusted to this world where humans and Pokémon coexist and fight for survival.

(Ryuzaki means 龍 (ryū) meaning "dragon" and 崎 (saki) meaning "cape, peninsula")

Dreaming of becoming a Pokémon Trainer to change his fate, Noah's hopes were crushed when he was sold to Team Rocket at the age of ten. Their brutal initiation tests forced him to kill to survive, hardening him into a remorseless operative.

Distrustful of reckless newcomers like Takuya, Noah endures them only due to the command of the feared "Blood General" Caesar, who leads their mission to capture Mew.

A sudden flare signals discovery. Noah rushes toward the source, where a fierce battle rages. Three Electabuzz and three Kadabra attack a small, radiant Pokémon, their attacks thwarted by its energy shield.

Frustrated, Mew retaliates with powerful psychic waves, sending the attacking Pokémon flying.

"She's calling for wild Pokémon. Stop her! Electabuzz, Kadabra, get up and attack!" Caesar orders.

"Ekans, Glare!" Noah commands as Mew approaches, his Ekans emerging with glowing eyes. Mew counters with a protective shield and a psychic blast, throwing Noah and Ekans back.

Coughing blood, Noah struggles to rise, his injuries severe. Surrounding wild Pokémon close in, but he remains defiant.

"Ekans, come out!" he calls. Ekans's head emerges, ready to defend against the encircling threats.
