Countless youths from the stage had already gone down. Not even 5 minutes had passed, but they had already failed, knowing what this meant, most had saddened expressions.

Some people, however, remained on the stage. They were the few lucky ones that had successfully awakened their pokemon. Glee was visible on their faces as they excitedly looked at their pokemon beside them.

If one looked closer though, they would notice that the people's attention was not on them, but on the last remaining guy who had yet to awaken. That's right, they were not the main character of the show but mere passersby.

The real reason why this many people gathered in the first place.

To witness the first step of their next Emperor!

Although awakening a pokemon was not a necessity for the royals, everyone wanted to see how the prince would be in taking his first step. Not only were there nobles of the realm in the gathering, but those from other realms had also taken the opportunity to observe as well.

Even deep within the void above the skies, people have gathered as they watched Lucian.

A young girl excitedly watched Lucian from above as she turned to another boy beside her and asked, "What Pokemon do you think will our older brother awaken, Xavier?"

"A dragon-type, perhaps? Maybe something similar to father's Salamence!"

The young boy replied with shining eyes.

"Only fate can decide," an old voice sounded from behind them.

They turned around and saw an old man wearing regal clothing. "Grandpa! What kind of Pokemon do you think Lucian's gonna get?"

"That's only something we would know after. Isn't that right, William?"

He looked at the handsome man standing on the side, keeping his eyes on Lucian down below. Beside him was a beautiful woman who held his arm with a calm look.

These were the parents of Lucian, Xavier, the young boy, and his twin Vivian, the young girl. William von Demiurge and Lena Remiel von Demiurge.

The Emperor and Empress of the Demiurge Empire!

The Demiurge royal family had gathered above here to watch and see if there was something special that was going to take place.

Lucian stared at the giant wheel that had stopped spinning in front of him.

With a big smile on his face, he reached out and touched the name as a bright black and blue light flashed and surrounded him.

BOOM!

On the outside world, storm clouds started to gather as the sky darkened. Lightning and thunder roared as they struck to the ground.

BOOM!

"What's happening?"

People on the streets, the stage, and even the royals hidden above the skies started to panic.

William turned towards the old man, his father, the old Emperor Sigrid, and asked, "What's going on? Are we being attacked?"

Sigrid shook his head and pointed down below, towards Lucian. "Lucian's causing all this... he's awakening a very powerful pokemon. Perhaps he's awakening... no... can it be?" An excited expression could be seen suddenly plastered on the old man's face.

As if understanding what he meant, William looked at his son down below. If it was what they thought it was, then it would mean the beginning of a new era...

It was not only them, but even the powerful people within and even outside the realm could feel it.

The change was coming.

ROAR!

A loud dragon's roar busted out from Lucian's throat as he started floating, with lightning crackling all around him, his irises turning bright blue as lightning sparked within.

Everyone who saw him had the same thing in mind.

God of Thunder!

It was exactly how he looked right now. Surrounded by the sparks of lightning and thunder, seemingly being able to control them with ease.

Slowly, a large silhouette appeared from behind as a god finally graced the world.

A jet-black dragon with menacing red eyes. From behind him was his tail that consists of a large, round, conical, and spiked formation. Within it was powerful lightning energy that could seemingly destroy the world if released.

Lucian spread his arms as he bathed in the full glory of lightning and thunder showering him.

"Welcome to the world... Zekrom."

Moves:

Thunder Fang - The user bites with electrified fangs. This may also make the target flinch or leave it with paralysis.

Dragon Breath - The user exhales a mighty gust that inflicts damage. It may also paralyze the target.

Descriptions: Zekrom is a black, bipedal Pokémon resembling a dragon or dinosaur, with dark patches on various portions of its body. It has red sclerae, white irises, and black pupils, as well as a small horn-like protrusion on the tip of its snout. Its head sports a thundercloud-like crest tipped with light-blue coloration. There are six pairs of pointed teeth visible when its mouth is open, two in the upper jaw and four in the lower.

At the base of its neck is a black, stud-like feature, and atop its shoulders are similar, larger features resembling armor padding. The bases of its wings also have such padding, and a fanned, splayed, seemingly webbed shape with a small "wing-spike" on one edge. The lower length of Zekrom's arms extenuates into splayed, seemingly webbed, somewhat baseball-mitt-like formations, with three-clawed, dark-colored hands on the undersides.

The front portion of Zekrom's waist is black-colored, with its belly and thighs having thin striations down their length. Its knees are black, as are the foremost parts of its three-clawed feet and spiked heels. When its emotions surge, it enters Overdrive mode and its tail lights up with a blue light.

Zekrom's tail consists of a large, round, conical, and spiked formation, likened to an electricity generator, with a black inner portion and bands on the tip of the outside portion. This tail produces energy for its attacks and emits an anti-gravity field, allowing Zekrom to fly through the air with minimal effects from aerodynamic resistance and gravity.

Lucian was immediately impressed with what he saw.

With the current standards, it was already showing how superior it was compared to other non-legendary pokemon. The level for a newly awakened trainer was one. It was when a trainer is able to gain strength using its pokemon, this was an unbreakable rule that has been always present since ancient times. Apparently, however, this rule did not include Legendary Pokemon which had immediately pushed his level to 5.

Not only that, even his Zekrom had a 3-star legendary grade potential. He didn't know how this would affect him, but for legendary pokemon to be graded, meant that his Zekrom was undoubtedly the cream of the crop, even amongst other legendary pokemon.

He was very pleased with its moves as well. Despite only recently awakening, he already had two moves. If the normal concept was applied, Zekrom, even as a level 5, would have to start with no moves and only gain a move at every 10 levels. Which obviously did not apply for a Legendary Pokemon.

"W-what pokemon is that? It's not registered in the Pokedex..."

While Lucian was busy checking out his first pokemon, the people marveled below were already marveling at Zekrom.

"Could it be that Prince Lucian awakened a newly discovered pokemon? But isn't this a bit too powerful..."

"Don't be stupid, where have you seen a newly awakened pokemon this strong? Judging by its appearance and power... if I'm not mistaken, that should be the Legendary Pokemon, Zekrom!"

These words were the ones to burst the bubble. Shock and awe were displayed on the faces of everyone.

A legendary pokemon... what kind of concept was this?

If one had to know, then a pokemon trainer with a legendary pokemon would undoubtedly be the biggest and greatest player in his era!

All of the handful of people who were trainers of legendary pokemon in the ancient era built what the world was today. They shaped the world into what it was now. Perhaps without them, the world would be way different.

If the First Emperor of the Demiurge Empire, Red von Demiurge, did not awaken his Legendary Pokemon, Mewtwo, would the Demiurge Empire be where it stood today?

No!

History is written by victors, the world is ruled by the strong!

This was a rule everyone knew.

And now, they were witnessing history and the beginning of a new legend itself.

The Crown Prince Lucian had awakened a Legendary Pokemon just like his ancestor, and even with the seemingly exaggerated descriptions of how, strong Mewtwo was, Zekrom did not seem to lose out!

As citizens of the Demiurge Empire, they gradually felt that the Empire would be welcoming a big change soon. Pride filled their hearts as they stared at their future leader.

Meanwhile, those from other realms have already started delivering news everywhere. They knew a big storm was about to brew.
