In the previous chapter we see how Ash is victorious in his fight against Sabrina after an exciting battle, after this, it was Nancy's turn, which had a very difficult battle against Sabrina, but thanks to the great bond that have with her Pokémon, Servine evolved to Serperior making Nancy get her new gym badge, now, only the last battle remains, Sabrina vs Verity, who will win? Stay and find out.
...
With Verity.
After seeing the exciting battles of Ash and Nancy had a mixture of excitement and some nerves, Sabrina was very strong, does not compare to the previous gym leaders and her Pokémon are already final evolutions, which are very difficult to defeat.
We both put ourselves in our respective positions ready to fight, I to win the medal and she to prevent me from winning it.
"The rules are simple, 3 vs 3, the first one that weakens your opponent's Pokémon, will be the winner, you can start!" – said Jay.
"I must admit that your friends and you are unique, my ability to predict the future has been completely useless with them, so I guess with you it will be something similar, but that does not mean that I am weaker, the opposite, now I will be able to try my best, prepare to lose, Mr. Mime, I choose you!" – said Sabrina.
"The same I say, prepare to lose, Breloom I choose you!"
Both Pokémon took to the battlefield ready to show off their skills.
"A guy fights a Psychic and Fairy, do you know in what disadvantage are you?" - asked Sabrina.
"Appearances are deceiving, don't understimated or you'll definitely regret it" - I said.
"Careless, I won't, Mr. Mime let's start with a powerful attack, use Psychic"
"Crouch!"
Breloom crouched down and a small pink bubble could be seen popping slightly on top of Breloom.
"You found out how the Psychic works to dodge it without problems, I must congratulate you" – said Sabrina.
That's right, I discovered that the Psychic attack can be dodged much easier than Ash and Nancy did, said attack throws a small invisible bubble to the Pokémon that when it impacts produces the effect you already know, but it has a weakness, it can only go straight ahead so it can be dodged if you do it at the exact moment, in Nancy and Ash's case, it was because their Pokémon were so fast that dodging was easy for their Pokémon.
"Use Poison Jab and let's finish quickly!"
Breloom quickly stepped forward and attempted to impact his attack on Mr. Mime.
"Mr. Mime use Reflect!"
Mr. Mime managed to form a Reflect, but still Breloom's blow caused him considerable damage.
"¡Breloom use Brick Break repeatedly!"
"Wow, you're prepared, Mr. Mime takes advantage of this situation and use Psychic!"
I know it may sound cruel but the goal of this attack was to break the screen, so unfortunately the Psychic hit Breloom squarely after he broke the screen and sent him flying.
"Now, take advantage and use Reflect again, so if you want to break it, we will have a chance to hit another hit!"
She knew that Breloom had to make contact with Mr. Mime all the time to hit him so doing this strategy could give her the opportunity to hit me if she wanted to break the screen, a good strategy, too bad it won't work.
"Now Breloom, use Leech Seed!"
While Mr. Mime formed the screen, Breloom took advantage and from afar launched a Leech Seed.
"Retreat, try not to be hit!"
But it was too late, Mr. Mime had already formed the screen and did not have time to avoid the blow, causing the Leech Seed to impact him fully.
"Perfect, now we will drain your energy constantly" – I smiled.
"Don't think this can slow us down, Mr. Mime use Shadow Ball!"
"Counterattack with Brick Break, break that screen!"
Breloom quickly impacted his attack against the Shadow Ball, at first it seemed that he could not break it, but it was soon shown that it was not so because he broke it and impacted a direct attack on the screen breaking it.
"Now, take advantage and use Psychic!"
But something happened that I really expected to happen, at that moment, the Leech Seed drained his energy and the pain prevented him from attacking.
"Finish him off, use Poison Jab!"
"Don't!"
Breloom hit his attack squarely causing Mr. Mime to fall to the ground weakened.
"Mr. Mime can't continue the winner is Breloom!" said Jay.
"Well done Breloom!" – I said with joy as Sabrina returned Mr. Mime to his Pokéball.
"I'm very impressed, but if you think I'm going to give up so easily, then I'll let you down, Alakazam let's get this over with it!" said Sabrina.
Alakazam came out of his Pokéball and looked intimidatingly at Breloom, well, here we have a problem, we can't hit a hit on Alakazam, it's too fast for us, so I can only opt for one strategy, tiredness.
"Come on Breloom, use Poison Jab!"
"Dodge it and use Psychic!"
Alakazam dodged Breloom's blow very easily and soon got on his back and hit a Psychic that sent him flying.
Breloom got up, but that Alakazam was very strong and should not be underestimated, the question now is, How to wear it down? I have no idea, I only know one thing, although Alakazam is extremely fast, he always had a weakness for contact attacks, so if we managed to hit even one punch, it would be enough to tire him out a bit.
"This battle will be easy, Alakazam finish him using Psychic"
Alakazam was willing to throw his Psychic at Breloom, until I came up with an idea, but it will only work once and the odds of failure are pretty high, still, it's the only thing I can think of.
"Dodge it!"
Breloom ducked in time and narrowly avoided psychic.
"It's useless to resist, Alakazam melt it using Shadow Ball, let's see if you can dodge"
Alakazam quickly approached Breloom and launched his Shadow Ball.
"Counterattack with Seed Bomb!"
Breloom launched a Seed Bomb that impacted with the Shadow Ball, however, as expected, both attacks were nullified causing a small smokescreen, small, but large enough to cover them both.
"Now, use Poison Jab!"
"Psychic!"
Both Pokémon barely seemed to be able to see ahead, even so, they managed to connect their attacks, but the only one to fall weakened was Breloom.
"Breloom can't go on, Alakazam wins!" – Jay said.
"You did well, now you have a well-deserved rest" – I said returning Breloom to his Pokéball.
Then I focused my gaze on Sabrina and I knew, it's time to get serious.
"Latios, I choose you!" – I said pulling Latios out of his Pokéball.
"A match against a Latias and now against a Latios, this is not seen every day, but not because you have a Latios means that you can beat me, Alakazam use Shadow Ball!"
Alakazam quickly moved at a high speed towards Latios while forming a Shadow Ball.
"Your speed is already useless, Latios use Shadow Ball too!"
Latios formed a Shadow Ball and threw it at Alakazam's causing both to collide and cancel each other out.
"Again use Shadow Ball!" – me.
"Dodge it and use Recover!"
Alakazam barely dodged the Shadow Ball and used Recover to get his life back.
"Take advantage and use Dragon Dance!"
While regaining his life, Latios turned on himself and increased his speed and attack, the time has come to take this battle to another level.
"Alakazam use Calm Mind!"
"Don't let him use Shadow Ball!"
Latios' speed had increased so much that he didn't give Alakazam time to form his Shadow Ball before being hit by Latios.
Alakazam fell to the ground weakened by the enormous damage he had received, it seems that Breloom's sacrifice gave the expected result.
"Alakazam can't keep fighting, Latios wins!" – Jay said.
"Well done Latios, now you deserve a break but I'll call you if things will going bad!" – I said with a smile.
Some will wonder why I keep Latios in his Pokéball, it's simple, during my training with Lairon, I feel that he is very powerful and his evolution was very close, of course it is a feeling, but that was what I felt.
Back to the topic, I wanted to fight with Lairon in a difficult battle for him, I wanted him to not only gain combat experience, but I also wanted to fight with him to gain experience in a real fight, I know it's a bit crazy, but I know what I do.
"At first when I saw you I was convinced of your defeat, who was going to tell me that 8 fights later I was going to regret what I said, I admit that you are the first ones who have put me in this position, obviously I lost before, but that was because I predicted it, this is the first time I predicted a defeat and it was not like that, but that's not why I'm going to let myself win, Slowbro, it's time to end this battle!" – said Sabrina.
"Lairon I trust you!" – I said pulling Lairon out.
Both came out of their Pokéball ready to fight to get the victory, this was the final battle, if I managed to weaken the Slowbro, it was over, I would win the medal and we could all go home to rest, otherwise ... I better not even think about it.
"You must be very confident if you think that even being at a disadvantage you can win, but you already proved to me before that I couldn't with you, so I won't judge you, Slowbro use Scald!"
Sabrina chose not to use Trick Room because both Pokémon were so slow, so she opted to go on the offensive.
"Use Protect to avoid the blow and then Stone Edge!"
Lairon quickly managed to protect himself from the Scald and then used Stone Edge.
Numerous blade-sharp rocks came out of the ground and hit Slowbro causing him to retreat numerous meters.
"Change of plans, Slowbro use Trick Room!"
"Don't let him, Lairon use Bulldoze!"
Lairon used his attack, but it was too late, Slowbro managed to use his attack turning faster than before.
"Let's see how you protect yourself now, Slowbro come closer and that Scald!"
With enormous speed you'd never say a Slowbro can have, he quickly got in front of Lairon, heck, I barely had time to see him.
"Use Protect!"
But it was not possible because Slowbro was too fast and his attack hit Lairon squarely causing the latter to suffer damage.
"I'm afraid it's impossible this time Lairon, but don't worry, next time we'll win..." – I said pulling out his Pokéball.
But something happened, Lairon didn't answer my call and when I tried to return his Pokéball, he didn't go in.
"What's going on?" – I asked confused.
Suddenly I understood because a huge light enveloped him almost blinding everyone present.
"It's evolving!" - exclaimed Sabrina.
That's right, I knew it, I knew it was about to evolve, I knew all it needed was a little push.
Little by little the light was undone until it was visible...
"Aggron's data has been recorded in the Pokédex!" – that was the Rotom Dex.
That's right, Lairon had evolved into his latest form, Aggron, an enormously powerful and intimidating-looking Pokémon.
"That won't give you victory, Slowbro use Scald!"
"That WILL give me the victory, Aggron grab it and throw it in the air!"
Aggron quickly moved forward receiving the Scald, however, he did not flinch and continued forward grabbing the Slowbro.
"What just happened?" - asked Sabrina in confusion.
"Let's get this over with, throw it in the air, and use Thunder Punch!"
"Free yourself Slowbro!"
But it was impossible, Aggron's strength was monstrous and he threw Slowbro into the air like a feather.
He then wrapped his fist in electricity and hit the Slowbro squarely sending it flying and weakening in the process.
"Slowbro can't keep fighting, the winner is Aggron, therefore the win goes to the challenger Verity!"
Yes, I finally got it, my sixth gym badge! You know what came next, many congratulations and the delivery of my medal, a well-deserved badge.
