CHAPTER 45 – MELOETTA

In the previous chapter we see how our heroes finally arrive at the location of Koga, only to find a surprise, in reality, Giovanni, the leader of Team Rocket was in the same meeting, but according to Koga,on the surface, there is nothing that relates him to Team Rocket, he can not be arrested, they also receive a call from Professor Cerise who warns them that they have to go to Unnova to help a Victini who was being pursued by Team Plasma, a newly formed evil organization.

We got up early in the morning, Unnova was a bit far away and we couldn't afford to get up late, so we got up at 6 in the morning, so in the end we couldn't let Koga know, because as you know at that time it's not open, so we just took a taxi that took us to Saffron City airport and, after buying a ticket, courtesy of the Professor, we flew to Unnova.

I will not bore you with how the flight was, I will only say that it was Koharu who could sit next to me, apart from that nothing special happened.

After a few hours, we landed at the airport of Castelia City, took a taxi to the port and bought a ticket to Liberty Garden, for those who wonder, Liberty Garden was a small tourist island, not like in the video game that I think I remember that had a lighthouse and little else, No, in real life it was an island, yes, quite small but with several museums and monuments of ancient civilizations, so the ticket was not very expensive, I guess it was marketing.

Upon arriving on the island, we went to the location that the professor told us, but we had to stop at one point because apparently there were numerous policemen fighting with men and women in uniform.

"Those must be Team Plasma, what should we do now?" asked Verity.

"We must try to pass slowly, without making any noise" - I replied.

There was a police cordon, but luckily, there was no one watching it because everyone was busy fighting Team Plasma, so we were able to sneak in easily.

Finding the place where the Victini was supposedly was not difficult because you only had to go through places where they were fighting, but there came a point where there were no police, but there were members of Team Plasma.

"It seems that we have no choice but to make way" - I sighed.

There were specifically two members guarding the door of what appeared to be a huge lighthouse, gigantic, to tell the truth.

"Alright, Verity and I take care of them, Koharu and your id after Victini" – Nancy nodded.

"No, I'd better stay with Verity, they look like just soldiers, so inside there will be someone stronger, we need you to go with Ash, we will take care of those two" – said Koharu.

We all nodded, we didn't know who was inside and what their strength was, so it's better that Verity or Nancy came with me, in this case it was Verity.

With that said, we got out of where we were hiding.

"Hey, you, I don't know who you are, but you can leave here if you don't want to get out badly!" – said one of the members.

"We're not leaving here!" - exclaimed Verity.

"Insolent girl, since you don't want to leave in good time, then we will expel you, Yamask, go ahead!" – said a soldier.

"Go ahead, Gurdurr!" - said the other.

"Vaporeon it's your turn!" – said Koharu.

"Luxio I choose you!" - exclaimed Verity.

Then they began to fight, so we took advantage of the fact that they were concentrated to enter through the huge door.

Inside it was almost dark, you could only see what you had right in front of you, that's how dark it was.

"Charizard, Cyndaquil, light up the way a little!" – I said pulling both of them out of their Pokéball.

They both came out of their Pokéballs and light up our way.

"Where should we go?" - asked Nancy.

"No idea, let's keep walking" - I replied.

We both continued walking until we found ourselves in front of a huge door, but unfortunately it was guarded by a person.

"Wow, you are brave to come here on your own" - said the man.

I know him, that man was Colress, I'm sure of it.

"Who are you?" - asked Nancy.

"My name is Colress and I am a scientist" – he introduced himself.

"A scientist and what does someone like you do here and especially with Team Plasma?" – said Nancy.

"I'm... Let's say it's scientific curiosity, you wouldn't understand it, anyway, you can't get from here, unless... let someone help me test the results of my experiment, if so, then I can do as the one who saw nothing" – said Colress.

"Then I'll do it...!" – Nancy tried to say.

"No, I'll do it, don't argue with me, I feel like fighting him!" – I said.

"Well, I won't argue" - Nancy said as she walked through the door.

Then Colress looked at me and smiled.

"The truth is, I don't care in the least what Team Plasma does" - he said.

"Why are you helping them then?" – I asked curiously.

"They finance my experiments, but come, let's go to a place with more visibility, my experiment will not shine in this gloom" - he said as he began to walk.

Then I returned Charizard and Cyndaquil to their Pokéball and we walked to the exit of the tower again, where apparently Verity and Koharu had finished fighting and apparently it was a crushing victory.

"Why are you here Ash, where's Nancy?" - asked Verity.

"Nancy is inside, unfortunately I made a deal with this guy and let Nancy pass smoothly in exchange for a battle" - I explained.

"I see" - Koharu said.

"By the way coach, as I see that you have more friends, I advise you to go help your partner, the opponent ahead is not exactly weak" – suggested Colress.

The girls and I looked at each other and went for a run after explaining where Nancy went.

"Mr. Colress, how can you think of letting these children pass?" - asked one of the defeated members.

"Exactly, the boss said to hold anyone who tried to enter!" – nodded the other.

"Since they weren't even able to defeat two girls, do they think they can defeat the elites that the cops would have commanded? Actually, I have done him a favor, now if you excuse me I have a battle to do" - said Colress.

Then he looked at me and smiled.

"Don't worry, the battle will still be 1 vs 1, whether you win or lose I'll turn a blind eye and you can go with your friends, it's not a bad deal, don't you think?" – said Acromo.

"I don't understand, why so eager to try your experiment?" – I asked curiously.

"You'll see, let's get started, I don't have much time, I'll show you the results of my experiment!" – exclaimed Colress throwing his Pokéball.

As I could see it was a blue Pokéball, completely and I could see a kind of letter, but I could not distinguish it well.

From the Pokéball surprisingly came a Meloetta.

"A Meloetta?" – I asked in confusion.

"My experiment, you see, I always wondered, how should I bring out the full potential of a Pokémon? I considered the Mega Evolution, but then I understood that it is only for a few, what about the rest, those who cannot? Look at my new invention, the Power-Enhancer" - he said with a smile.

Suddenly, black rays came out of Meloetta's neck.

"Melo!" – cried the Meloetta in pain.

"Stop! Don't you see that you're hurting her, don't you care?" – I asked angrily.

"The collar is still in the testing phase, however, they are simple side effects" – he replied.

"Tch, Pikachu, I choose you, let's free that Meloetta from the hands of that mad scientist!" – I said angrily.

"Haa... whenever you are innovative they call you crazy, in short, Meloetta, attack with Psychic " – he ordered.

"Quick Attack!"

But surprisingly the Psychic not only attacked before, but very fast, so fast that Pikachu could not react and was sent to fly.

"Pika!" - shouted Pikachu.

"Pikachu, are you okay?" – I asked worriedly.

"¡Pika pi!" – nodded.

"Okay, then Quick Attack again!"

Pikachu used Quick Attack again.

"It's useless, your Pokémon is strong, but my invention brings out the full potential of Meloetta, use Relic Song"

With astonishing rapidity Meloetta hit a powerful Relic Song on Pikachu that sent him flying while at that very moment Meloetta transformed.

"Since you've already attacked twice, then let me do it now, Close Combat"

And with amazing speed, Meloetta shot out towards Pikachu, but just before impacting him, Meloetta seemed to resist and looked at me with a sad look, even with tears.

"Wow, it seems that there are still failures, I guess I have to improve it" – said Acromo.

"Damn, you actually dared to use her against her will, hurting her just for your selfish motives, UNFORGIVABLE!" – I shouted.

"All because of science, they are collateral damage" - Acromo said.

I feel like beating up this guy, since I came to this world is the first time I have this feeling, but what should I do? Pikachu is badly injured and any of my Pokémon would go through the same thing, I don't know what to do.

But suddenly, my Dinamax bracelet began to glow a deep red color, apparently it was charged.

"My Dinamax bracelet, but how is it possible? We are not in Galar" – I exclaimed in surprise.

"Do you give up yet? It's been boring, I expected more" - said Colress.

Don't look for an explanation, just use it.

I picked up Pikachu from the ground and stroked him.

"Ready Pikachu?" – I asked with a confident smile.

"Pika pi" – Pikachu nodded.

"What are you doing?" – asked Colress puzzled.

But he couldn't say anything else because suddenly, a red energy enveloped Pikachu.

"Retreat, now!" – said Colres in surprise.

Meloetta retired in time.

"Get ready for the counterattack, that's as far as your control goes, DYNAMAX!" – I shouted.

And suddenly, a red cloud appeared out of nowhere and Pikachu began to grow in a huge way until it became a Pikachu with clear overweight, that is, the Dynamax form of Pikachu.

"How is it possible that I could have used the Dynamax outside the Galar region?" asked Colress in surprise.

"Pikachu, let's teach you a lesson, but remember to keep the attacks at low power, our goal is the collar not to hurt Meloetta!" – I said.

"PIKA!" – Pikachu nodded.

"Yosh, let's go, G-Max Volt Crash!"

Suddenly, a huge lightning bolt formed in the sky.

"¡Dodge it!"

"And how will he do it, go ahead, throw it away!" – I said.

"PIKACHU!" – shouted Pikachu.

And a huge lightning bolt crashed directly into Meloetta that despite being so fast could not dodge the enormous mass of electricity that came upon her.

After the attack, Meloetta was there, she didn't have much damage.

"Come on, use Psychic!"

But Meloetta did not move from her place.

"What are you doing? Do as I told you" – said Acromo.

Meloetta raised her head only to see how the necklace on her neck had come off and she fell to the ground, then stood next to Pikachu.

"Damn, Magnezone, I'll pick you!" - said Acromo, pulling out his other Pokémon.

"Don't even bother, go fly, Pikachu, G-Max Volt Crash, Meloetta, send that scientist with Psychic fly!"

A huge Lightning hit the enemy Magnezone who could not withstand the blow and was sent to fly in the direction of Colress who returned him to his Pokéball immediately.

As for Meloetta, she used her Psychic to send Colress to fly-

"I see, with that in reality friendship can boost the power of a Pokémon without the need for external devices, as a scientist I will have to prove this theory, anyway, we will meet again" – said Acromo while flying.

After sending Colress flying, Pikachu immediately returned to its original form.

"You did well Pikachu" – I said with a smile.

"Pika" - Pikachu said, climbing onto my shoulder.

Then, Meloetta came over and smiled at me.

"Melo!" – he said.

"Pika pi" – Pikachu nodded.

"A pleasure, but now we have to go" – I said.

I bent down to caress her little head, but without warning, Meloetta opened my backpack and pulled out a Amor Ball from inside and offered it to me.

"You must know that I am a coach, if you come with me you will have to fight and I would not want to get you into that if you want to" - I said.

"Melo!" – she said.

"What don't you care about and that you actually like and want to come with me?" – I asked.

"Melo!" – she nodded.

"It's not a very convincing reason but I won't reject you either, welcome to the team" – I smiled.

Meloetta smiled and she herself touched the Pokéball and caught herself.

Then I picked up the Pokéball from the ground and looked at Pikachu, who also nodded like me.

"Come on Pikachu, let's help the girls!" – I said as I ran inside.

"Pika pi!" - said Pikachu.
