6: Parents

Jayden and Scorbunny continued to train till it was almost 3 pm.

the training consisted of not only battles, but also workouts for pokemon that Jayden found in the book.

he did the workouts alongside Scorbunny, the little guy seemed to be even more excited to workout knowing that its trainer was going through the same thing it was going through.

by the time they were done, Scorbunny was already at level 10, and it had even learned ember and quick attack in the middle of battles, Boosting its strength even more.

Jayden decided to return home for now, his parents would be home in a little while actually, his mom usually returned earlier than his dad.

"ding dong"

the doorbell was rung while Jayden was watching a Pokemon battle on the TV with Scorbunny.

the sound immediately alerted them both.

Scorbunny was the first to rush to the door before hopping and using its small arms to open up the door.

"haha, I'm home" a soft laugh was heard as a middle aged woman reached down to pat Scorbunny on its head.

"did Jayden play with you today?"

She asked as her light green eyes looked around the room before landing on Jayden.

this was his mother.

around 170 cm, not to talk, she had short curly hair and could be considered beautiful for her age.

"of course I did, Scorbunny and I even trained outside, isn't that right?" Jayden calmed down and tried to act normal.

"trained outside?"

his mother had a surprised expression on her face while she locked the door and placed down her bag.

"you actually went outside for once?" she smiled before looking at him deeply.

"yes, I told u I was gonna become a trainer anyways"

Jayden dodged her eyes and replied hurriedly.

"well that's good, just tell us anytime, your father was very excited when I told him you wanted to become a trainer" she said as if reminiscing about their phone call.

'is it that serious?'

Jayden thought silently in his mind.

perhaps it was understandable, pokemon training was the most lucrative and respected profession in this world.

Every person with power had a strong Pokemon.

Jayden talked with his mom for a while longer and even helped her cook.

he wasn't used to having a family, so he tried to spend as much time with her as he possibly could.

After all he would leave for the outside world within a week.

he had already rescheduled his Pokemon trainer license interview.

while they were finished preparing food, the door bell rang once again.

Jayden immediately opened it since he was closer to the door.

this time a tall man with short black hair came inside, he had a short beard which covered his chiseled jaw.

"my boy"

he said, immediately giving Jayden a big hug.

"After convincing you for so long to become a Pokemon trainer, you finally take your old man's word" he laughed before smacking Jayden's shoulder heavily.

"oh c'mon dear, I tried to convince him as well" his mother rolled her eyes while putting away her apron.

"You're right, you're right, my dear"

the man hugged her and they began to kiss each other.

Jayden watched this all happen without knowing what to say or do.

he only reacted when he saw Scorbunny tugging on his pants.

"what's up buddy?" Scorbunny seemed to be pulling him towards the door.

it was even doing sum punching motions with its fists.

"oh, you want to train again?" Jayden laughed, this little bunny was really assiduous when it came to becoming stronger.

"let's eat first" Jayden patted it's head before lifting it up and walking towards the living room.

the middle-aged couple were very energetic as they ate, even if Jayden didn't feel like talking he had no choice.

The atmosphere was definitely good during their dinner.

Jayden fed Scorbunny some Pokemon food and fruits while it was on his lap.

his bond with Scorbunny increased by the second according to the system interface.
