------

Jayden had headphones on and listened to music while looking at Scorbunny's status screen.

his bond with his started Pokemon was already 90%, showing they were already close.

According to the system, each pokemon he caught could basically level up through fighting and defeating other pokemon/trainers.

this would set him apart from the other pokemon trainers of this world.

although battles could also train their pokemon's as well, it required a lot of other factors to increase a pokemon's strength.

his Pokemon basically only needed to fight to get stronger.

Jayden wore a black one-strap backpack as he put on his shoes, Scorbunny was sitting on top of his shoulders.

it would be a few hours before his parents both came home, he decided to train for now perhaps to get a few levels as well.

Jayden locked the door behind him as he left the house, the green environment all around him nearly touched his soul, his eyes could help but scan all around.

pokemon could be seen everywhere, living together with the people of this small town in the forest.

"ah, Hello Jayden, finally outside huh"

Jayden was spotted by an old couple who were followed by two Pidgeys.

they seemed to be familiar with him.

"yea, it's been too stuffy inside the house" Jayden replied after remembering who this old couple were.

after exchanging some words they bid farewell and continued on their walk through the town.

Jayden walked towards a path leading towards the forest, the outskirts of this forest only had weak bug type Pokemon roaming around, so it was relatively safe.

"this is where we will be training little guy"

Jayden eyed Scorbunny who was blazing with excitement as well.

Scorbunny jumped off his shoulders before running around, he even tried to sneak up on a sleeping Pidgey but it flew away immediately.

Jayden only laughed as he watched this.

"pidgey's are a good option to have, especially in the Kanto region" Jayden thought, but he didn't need another pokemon currently.

he had to see how training the first one would go.

-----

"Scorbunny use tackle"

Jayden shouted as he watched Scorbunny confront a Rattata, the little guy was feisty.

Scorbunny released a sharp cry before running towards the Rattata.

seeing this, the Rattata wanted to escape, but how could it's speed match Scorbunny's

bang!!

it was hit and sent flying before it rolled across the floor a few times and then into a tree.

the Rattata was actually unconscious, but still Jayden was informed by the system that Scorbunny had gained experience, and even leveled up.

"so we didn't have to kill it?" Jayden released a sigh of relief, after all he did pick a fight with this poor rat, he would be conflicted if he had to kill it just to gain exp for Scorbunny.

Jayden continued this, his Scorbunny was practically too strong for these low level Pokemon around the area, even so Scorbunny actually managed to reach level 8 through all the battles it had.

Jayden felt uncomfortable commanding a Pokemon at first, but soon he got used to it and used his brain while executing orders to Scorbunny.

"we won't even need a month to reach level 10" Jayden thought, he wouldn't waste a month here in this village when he could begin his training earlier.

he would go home later and cancel the interview for an earlier date, perhaps a weeks time.

that would definitely be enough time for his Scorbunny to reach lvl 10.
