By the time Ace returned, Cynthia and Ash were finished.

Ash was talking to Cynthia while holding Pikachu, getting some advice. Ace stood on the side and Ash smiled at him, "Where's Paul?" Ace curled his lips, "He left. He didn't want to beat the Gym Team but my Sub Team for the Badge." Cynthia tilted her head, "He's brave."

Ace rolled his eyes, "He challenged a cheater like you, you only realized he was brave now?" Cynthia was speechless for a moment, "You're a bigger cheater than me?" Ace scoffed and Ash looked at Ace, "So, should I also wait?" 

Ace rubbed his chin, "Well, I recommend you finish off Volkner then come back here for the last badge. Then after you're done, we can train for a bit before the conference." Ash thought about it and nodded, "Alright."

Cynthia looked at Ash and smiled, "I'll be watching your conference, Ash!" Ash smiled and waved his fist, "Yeah! Haha!" Ace shook his head and said, "I heard there was a guy who wants to fry fish at the conference. He has a Latios and Darkrai." Ash was stunned, "Huh?!" 

Cynthia was speechless, you have two legendary Pokemon and you're going to the conference? For what?

Ace shrugged and looked at Ash, "So you gotta work hard and rub the ground with his face, then beat him senseless!" Ash's lips twitched, "Uhh… Okay…" Ace nodded, "Good boy. Where are you three going now?" Brock looked at the map, "Eterna City."

Ace nodded and rubbed his chin, "Hmm… Eterna, huh. Gardenia is a Grass Type Gym Leader, you should train in Eterna Forest for a while… By the way, you can also look for a Mossy Rock." 

Ash, Dawn, and Brock: ????????

Ace smiled at Dawn, "A Mossy Rock can evolve Eevee into a Leafeon." Dawn's eyes lit up and Ash nodded, "Alright, we'll look for it." Ace added, "Also, if you go to the TM Store, ask Nami about TMs for Leafeon, she'll give you the ones that are good… After all, Leafeon is a Physical Attacker."

Dawn nodded frantically before dragging Ash off, "Come on, Ash!" Ash waved in the wind, sighing, "Bye, Teacher!" Ace waved goodbye, "See you later, Ash!" Brock waved, "Thanks for your hospitality."

Ace gave him a thumbs up, "Goodluck." Brock sighed and replied, "It's a struggle every day…" as he left slowly. Ace laughed and Cynthia leaned over, "Those two are compatible." Ace didn't mind Cynthia basically pressing her cheek on his eyeball, replying, "Yeah. This is the Third one!"

Cynthia's lips twitched and Ace grinned evilly, "Three little girls are so capable… hehe… He doesn't know at all! Zehahahah! I want to see the look on his face when he realizes! By that time… Boom!"

Cynthia rubbed her face, "You're really something else…" Ace smirked, "Thank you!" Cynthia groaned, "It wasn't a compliment!" Ace smirked even happier, "Thank you!" as he watched Ash leave.

He muttered, "But those girls are really good. A Gym Leader, two Coordinators… maybe the next one will be a Coordinator and Champion?" Cynthia looked at him strangely, "Another one… you're a good… teacher…"

Ace nodded, "I know! Who else will go out of their way to help his student get so many good girls? But that reminds me, I have to brainwash the last one! How can you not have a champion?! No no, she needs to get some ideological education!" Cynthia rubbed her forehead and sighed.

But she was curious, who is this mystery girl?!

She found out later…

Ace called Serena's mother, Grace, "Grace! How are you?" Grace looked surprised, "Hey, Ace! Long time no see. How is Ash?" Ace grinned, "Great! I'm sure you heard about him…"

Grace rolled her eyes and sighed, "That's all this girl talks about! I wish she had this kinda drive for Rhyhorn racing…" Cynthia looked over Ace's shoulder, "Oh! You're the famous Rhyhorn racer, Grace?!" Grace blinked, "Hello! You're… Cynthia?!"

Cynthia smiled and waved, "I used to watch Rhyhorn racing, it looks like fun!" Grace smiled happily, "It is! If you're in Kalos, come down and I can teach you." Cynthia was happy, "Really!?" Grace nodded and Ace pushed her face away, "Hey! I'm talking here!"

Cynthia rolled her eyes, "And who are you?" Ace's lips twitched, "What does that mean?!" Cynthia snorted and Ace mocked her "AnD WhO ArE YoU? Just as I thought, you can't trust a cheater!" Cynthia retorted, "You're the one who's cheating! How many times do I have to say it?!" Ace nodded, "Oh… Oh!"

Grace: ….

Ace turned back and smiled, "By the way, how's Serena?" Grace's lips twitched, "Good… I guess. She watches Ash's battles religiously…" Ace nodded, "Oh, that's good." Grace laughed helplessly, "Is it?" Ace replied, "Sure, watching battles can give her more experience when she starts her own journey. Anyway, I actually called you for another reason."

Grace tilted her head as Ace said directly, "I thought of a new type of battling. It's like Rhyhorn Racing but using the RotomRunners." Grace rubbed her chin, "Those Bikes? They're interesting for sure but…" she smiled, "I like Rhyhorn racing more."

Ace's face was black, who asked you what you liked? He said, "I was wondering if you could give me some advice? Rhyhorn racing is cool, but they don't go fast enough." Grace pouted, "Rhyhorn are pretty fast…"

Ace's lips twitched, "Well, not as fast as my RotomRunner! Anyway! Like I was saying! The concept is a Speed Battle, not only do you have to drive on a track but your Pokemon have to keep up!" Grace hesitated, "Isn't that… a bit dangerous?"

Ace: ?????????

You're riding a Pokemon that doesn't stop running until it faints and you're telling me my idea is dangerous??

Cynthia thought about it and said, "It sounds like fun, though?" Grace nodded, "It does! But if you wipe out, then you're finished, right?" Ace muttered, "Then I'll just add an autopilot mode. Then I can put Speed Counters, up to 5. Everytime you knock out a Pokemon, you get a Speed Counter that increases the Speed of your own Pokemon by One Stage, but when you get one of your Pokemon knocked out, all your Speed Counters get wiped out."

Cynthia and Grace were speechless, Ace looked excited, "Fuck! This sounds like so much fun!" Grace's lips twitched, "You're going to put Rhyhorns out of business like this…"

Ace coughed and said, "That's not true, you can only use Fast Pokemon. It'll be very fast Battles, why would Rhyhorn Racing be affected?" Grace sighed and Ace put his hands together, "Please help! I'll give you 30% of all Earnings!"

Grace was dumbfounded, "30%!?" Ace nodded, "I have too much money." Cynthia and Grace clicked their tongues, "Rich People!" Ace had black lines on his head, "You're both rich, okay?! Do you know how expensive housing is in Kalos?"

Grace rolled her eyes and said, "Okay. I'll help you… but I want a Rhyhorn RotomRunner." Ace's eyes lit up, "Hey hey! You can be a Pro Speed Battle Trainer!" Grace laughed, "I'm retired."

Ace rolled his eyes and Cynthia asked, "Can I help? It sounds like fun…" Ace looked at her with a stinky face, "Who are you?" Cynthia's lips twitched, "I'm calling Ele-" Ace nodded seriously, "It's better that Cynthia helps. After all, Champions have a good reputation."

They started talking about the Speed Battle Rules and structure for the rest of the day.
