Meeting Lance

Axel didn't want to be a part of the political game but now he was entering another of their petty little feud. But Axel had no choice. This was a great opportunity for him. Axel may say that he was a great researcher with a promising future but he knew that he was a greenhorn. He needed to explore this world and gather experience to be a Pokemon master. These types of exploration were risky but also have high returns.

Seeing that Axel was in deep thought, Adam asked, "Do you want to pass on this trip?"

"No, I want to do it.", replied Axel.

"Axel, I know it is a hassle and a half but this is a great opportunity for you if you want to reach your goal.", said Adam.

"I know Adam. So, what is this competition about?" asked Axel

"Ohh, this is interesting. The 5 of you would be given 2 months. At that time, you could catch any number of Pokemons that you like but it must not be above rare ranked. After 2 months, the 5 of you would battle another 5 from the Hoenn region. Each of you is only allowed to use 1 Pokemon that you have caught first on the island. Those who win would win the island. Obviously, the Pokemon that you use for battle should not be above rare ranked.

And the young trainer that the region chooses should not be above 15 years of age. Isn't this an interesting setup?", said Adam

"Yes, it seems interesting. None of the trainers have any advantage. This is basically luck and how you train that Pokemon in 2 months.", said Axel.

This was an interesting setup.

"Do you know that trainers that you would be joining us?", asked Axel.

"Some of it. I don't know the actual names. From our side, each member of 3 starter families and 2 members from the league would come. And as far as I know, Hoenn region would also be sending 1 member each from 3 starter families and 2 members from the league.", replied Adam.

The talk went on for an hour until both of them decided to call it a night.

The next 2 days were spent relaxing. Axel didn't have a proper relaxing movement since he won against Flint. He knew that these 2 days would also not be enough. His Pokemons needed to rest. He made a mental note to relax for a week after this trip was over.

As of right now, his Pokemons were:

1. Nidorino

2. Shedinja

3. Beedrill

4. Magikarp

5. Absol

6. Bulbasaur

7. Gogoat.

8. Charmeleon

He wanted to limit the number of his Pokemons but it seemed like he was failing in it. His reason for limiting the number of Pokemons was due to a lack of resources and time.

He does have good enough money for now but he knew that it would not be enough later. So raising more Pokemons would take more resources. But after thinking for some time, he decided to raise as many Pokemons as he could. This was not an anime world or a game world. This was the real world for Axel. More Pokemons meant more security for him and his family. He would just think of something, to earn more money.

Thinking of his Pokemons, Shedinja, Beedrill, Magikarp, and Bulbasaur were ready to be evolved in the coming next month. Charmeleon was also close to its evolution. Absol was just a child so she would take some time to get stronger.

Nidorino may need 2 months to evolve into elemental rank.

So, almost all of his Pokemons were going to get their upgrade in 1-2 months. He would be ready for the gym battle after these 2 months. So, in a way, these 2 months trip to an unknown island was perfect for him.

After 2 days,

Axel was now in the airport ready to reach the location.

"You would be going to Fuchsia City, where a private plane would be waiting for you. All 5 of you would enter that plane to go to that island. After reaching the island you would meet 5 young trainers from the Hoenn region.

Remember Axel, we have 5 people from each region but none of them are your friends and families. We don't have a good relationship with other starter families and we don't know much about the league. So be careful.", said Adam.

The plane flew and Axel reached Fuchsia city in 2 hours. Just as Axel got off the plane some authorities wearing black suits asked for his identification and lead him to another plane. Now, this plane was massive. Axel had never in his life seen a plane that big. Showing his confident face, he went inside.

Axel was given a small tour of the plane. The inside of the plane looked like a castle. There was a separate room for beds and there was a dining hall and what you consider a small training ground too. Axel was impressed. The technology of this world may not be that advanced compared to his world but there were some developments that made him surprised.

After the small tour, Axel was led to a medium-sized room. The room was empty. There were some parachute bags, some oxygen cylinders, and some weird type of machinery that Axel could not figure out. He was told to wait for some man and he would be briefed about his situation.

Within 5 minutes 4 young trainers came inside the room led by the same people wearing the same uniform. Among the 4 of them, there were 2 girls and 2 boys. One of the boys had red hair and Axel was sure that he may have seen him somewhere. Axel didn't have any time to interact with them as a large man with a black-colored uniform came inside to give them a briefing.

"Hello, my name is Boris and I am an elite Pokemon explorer. I am also the leader of my team. As you may know, we have explored this unknown island. I am here to give you some information about it. But first, let's introduce ourselves. Hmmm…. Why don't you start little girl.", said Boris pointing at a girl with sky-blue hair.

"Hello, my name is Lyra Toise. I am from Toise family."

"Hi, I am Ryker Zard. I am from Zard family."

"I am Axel Blaze. I belong to Venu family"

"Hi, I am Lorelai. I come from the league."

"I am Lance. I also come from the league."

'So, that is where I know him from. He is Lance' thought Axel.
