S4E7: Island Challenge - Part Two

They stayed on the island that night only to get up early the next morning to ride Gyarados to Navel Island to challenge Danny in whatever exactly his challenge was. This journey was once more a silent one just as the first one was. This of course wasn't do to the lack of trying on Silvia's part since she was still trying to flirt with him while he was too focused and deep in thought with his plans once this was all over with.

Thus once arriving on Navel Island Foxx looked up at the top of the mountain where he was to meet Danny. This would be the first part of the challenge required for them both to receive their next badge. Thus without hesitating he recalled Gyarados almost before Silvia even had a chance to climb off thus causing her to almost fall into the water. She then had to race after him as he began to climb up the side of the mountain trying to make it to the top.

Once on top of the mountain Foxx and Silvia both shook hands with Danny before he awaited him to explain what the next challenge would be. Silvia was a bit nervous while Foxx showed no signs of worry or fear.

"Alright, so the first challenge is simple there will be two geysers that will launch at the same time you will each race me in freezing it." instructed Danny before releasing his Nidoqueen before asking, "Who wants to go first."

"I will." replied Foxx as he debated on trying to see if Joy would even come out for him only to sigh as he selected Eevee's pokeball and tossed it into the challenge area.

"Hmm interesting choice." commented Danny as we both got in position and as the geyser began to erupt.

Foxx nodded towards Eevee who blasted it with a continual ice beam causing it to freeze surprisingly just before Danny's Nidoqueen. We broke off the ice towers and moved them aside while Silvia ad Danny got ready for their race. This time Silvia used her Glaceon and she too beat Danny just by a hair.

"Good now for the second part we are all going to race to carve our ice pillars into a sled which you we will then race down the hill with three of our Pokémon. You will be allowed to use three pokemon to carve the sled." replied Danny as he through out two pokeballs releasing Scyther and Machomp right next to his Nidoqueen.

With a smile Foxx tossed out his Ralts and Galatians Ponyta to join Eevee. As for Silvia she sent out Leafeon Umbreon and Vaporeon while recalling Glaceon. They three then got their ice pillars in place and began to carve.

Now, having done this many times already Danny knew the best way to have his pokemon work to make the best sled. As for Silvia well she did her best to carve a sled that would fit her pokemon and herself while also trying to make it look pretty at the same time.

Foxx on the other hand had Pnoyta hold the pillar up so Ralts could carve out a round botttom while Eevee used water gun to give it a smooth bottom. From there Ponyta rotated it so they could carve out the top. Foxx when for a bullet tip with a high front that would force the air right over their heads while also creating a ice window so he could still see where they were going.

This was of course a timed task thus causing Foxx to focus hard and plan every step just right, and when the buzzer went off he had his smooth bullet sled. As for Danny he had a simple and basic sled while Silvia had a sled that was more show then speed yet she'd glanced over at the right time to have been able to add a nice smooth bottom on her sled.

"Good, now the three of us will race and if whoever beats me will be awarded the Sea Ruby Badge." called Danny as he recalled Nidoqueen and Machamp, and tossed out to replace them Electroid and Geodude.

To this Foxx left his team as it was while Silvia well she only changed out Umbreon for Glaceon. The three then climbed into their sleds followed by their teams of pokemon. Once the buzzer went off Foxx's Ponyta kicked off pushing the sled off down the hill. Silvia's Vaporeon did likewise using its tail to also help steer the sled to keep it on the smoothest path. This left Danny who used his scyther to paddle them off to a start.

The race was close for the most part with Foxx and his pokemon ducking low below the sled's wind cutter allowing it to jolt forward to take the lead. As for Silvia her Glaceon moved to the front of the sled and blasted the path in front of them with fresh smooth ice causing the sled to ride easier and smoother allowing it to also begin to pull forward. Unfortunately her vaporeon using it's tale to steer also slowed them down a bit thus keeping her a little ways behind Foxx.

As for Danny his scyther tried to increase their speed with continual slashes at the ground, yet in the end he was not able to pass either one of them and thus had to reward them both with the Sea Ruby badge. Foxx recalled his pokemon before he shook Danny's hand to which he then headed off to the nearby woods alone with just one pokeball leaving the rest with Meowleth who really kept to himself this whole trip.

Once alone Foxx connected the pokeball to his tablet and activated the force open to which Joy appeared at his feet. She just looked up at him and glared before letting out a small puff of smoke and turning her back on him.

"We need to talk!" Sighed Foxx with his hands on his hips.
