S3E8: A Needed Chat

In the forest a little ways off from their camp Foxx and Joy find a nice soft spot near a stream to have their chat. Now Foxx knew he was in for it because he's neglected Joy the past few nights and he also knows it was wrong of him to do so but will Joy see it that way? So with a sigh he switched on his nerotransmiter.

"Hay Joy I'm sorry we haven't talked much recently." mentally sighed Foxx as he looked into the small stream.

"What tired of your new friend that you're now coming back to me?" mentally huffed Joy as she sat behind him with her back towards him.

"Do we have to go over this again?" mentally asked Foxx, "Me talking with Dawn is no more then me talking with my parents."

"Yah because you are not always thinking about kissing your mom and dad." snapped Joy shooting a small bit of smoke right at Foxx's face before looking away.

"First off, Dawn is cute and yes I'd like to kiss her and possibly have her stay with us but I also know she plans on returning to journey along with Ash." snapped Foxx after coughing a few times from the smoke. "Second, you know my love for you will never change no matter who or what comes into our lives."

"You never want to kiss me though?" whimpered Joy "How can you love me when you never show me the same affection you show your parents and Dawn?"

"Joy you're my pokemon and since I'm a human the way I show affection is different because it would be considered wrong for me to kiss you, but with that said I always enjoy cuddling with you." explained Foxx not sure if it was helping any.

"I still don't understand but I love and trust you Foxx and will follow your lead but I can't like her she's only going to hurt you." replied Joy as she slowly crawled up into Foxx's lap.

"You know that sounds a bit like what you told me about my parents when they first joined us." half laughed Foxx as he slowly wrapped his arms around Joy.

"That's different they are your parents and they want the best for you." replied Joy as she snuggled into his chest before looking up at him.

"Joy. You know that's not true. Well yes they want the best for me and they are my parents, but I think you've opened up to trust them and I think even care about them." sighed Foxx as he looked up at the stars before adding, "But if you don't want to like Dawn please at least trust her for me."

"Okay." sighed Joy "If that's what you want."

"Hay don't try to guilt me into doing whatever evil plot you got going on in that head of yours because I can figure it out with only a few thoughts." teased Foxx before smiling at her and adding, "Besides after Christmas we both will go our separate ways and then you'll get your way once more."

"I want the two of us to be happily together forever." purred Joy with a smile.

"Joy can you do me one more thing please?" asked Foxx looking her in the eyes which showed her how serious it was.

"What's that Foxxy Poo?" asked Joy with a flutter of her eyes.

"First don't call me that around the other pokemon, and second please stop giving Dawn your angry glare." replied Foxx.

"But Foxxy Poo I don't like her and don't want her to think I do. Besides the others know I call you that already." replied Joy with a quivering lip.

"Even Meowlth?" asked Foxx with a concerned look.

"No I don't tell that big mouth anything. He doesn't know how to keep his mouth shut nor keep a secret." replied Joy, "You think your parents are bad at keeping a secret he's worse."

"Good but do the others know not to tell him?" asked Foxx.

"Foxxy Poo we all know how big of a mouth he is so we never tell him what we call each of you humans." replied Joy with a smile before standing on his lap and stretching up and licking his cheek

"Oh really? would you tell me?" asked Foxx with a raised eyebrow.

"Well me and Eevee call you the same name when talking to others and that's Foxxy. I only add the Poo when I talk with you. As for the others well I'll behave and not tell you what they other's call your parents as for me I call them Red and Purple Dummies." explained Joy.

"Joy that's not nice." scolded Foxx.

"But it fits them and its more of how I refer to them not how I see them. Your parents have really gotten better over these past few months but they are still goofy and silly though." replied Joy.

"What do you call Dawn?" asked Foxx with his hands now on his hips.

"Do I have to tell you?" asked Joy as she looked at him with very sad pleading eyes.

"No I can tell by your reaction that it's not nice and is worse then Red Dummy." scolded Foxx as he lifted her off his lap and stood up and started back towards the camp.

"Ditzy Pritzy Princess Flirtzy." sighed Joy as she turned away in shame.

"She's not ditzy nor pampered." exclaimed Foxx before smiling, "But she does flirt a lot at least with me it seems. Though I like that and you know it can be really hurtful if any of these names you call everyone ever got out. How would you feel if I called you some mean name."

"You haven't really talked to other pokemon have you?" sighed Joy, "We create names for humans because of some of the names you've called us. Most are only called by our species which is very hurtful then on top of that some trainers call us even worse names. I like Joy and am glad you called me that but not all pokemon are so lucky. Also Meowlth is the only one that can talk so thus the other reason for the names we are then able to vent and not hurt your feelings."

"I see but with Meowlth here and for me can you please refrain from the mean names?" asked Foxx with a worried look on his face as he knelt before her.

"Can I still call you Foxxy Poo?" asked Joy.

"Yes that one is fine. You can give the rest of us names as long as they aren't hurtful and I will work with you each night on them until we agree on some." replied Foxx with a smile before scooping up Joy and carrying her back to camp.
