S3E7: Camp

So with the boys setting up camp and the girls getting dinner ready you can almost assume that some interesting conversation where going on between the two groups. In fact last episode we got a little hint towards what or should I say who the girls where talking about so lets check in on the boys and see if their conversation is likewise or not.

"So dad if we plan things right we should be able to make it to the gym with tine for you to even give it a try this time." called Foxx as he finished setting up the girl's tent.

"I don't know son I'm not sure I'm a good enough trainer yet." sighed James as he and Meowlth sit down in the opening of the guy's tent. "Me and your mom are just too big of screw ups to ever win a gym badge fair and square."

"You're not screw ups and if you really think you're not good enough then lets do a few training battles while we wait for the food to be finished?" asked Foxx as he looked down at Joy who seemed to be happy to help even though she did keep looking over at Dawn for some reason. Oh well he'd have to ask her about it later.

"Yah but you always win with Joy. She's too powerful for me to beat." moaned James.

"FineI'll use Meowlth then." replied Foxx

"Sorry kid though I'd love to beat some sense into James here I'm not going to be a beating bag for his pokemon." replied Meowlth with his paws on his hips as he stood to go help the girls not wanting to be part of this.

"Okay then I'll just go as mom if I can barrow her pokemon for the battle." replied Foxx, "That way it is more of a fair fight for you with both being grass poison types."

"You're determined to get me back into training aren't you?" sighed James.

"Yes" replied Foxx as he turned to go as his Jessie if he could barrow Arbok for a training session with his dad.

As he approached the girls they seemed to b giggling and laughing about something but the moment they saw him coming they straightened up and got really quiet. This made Fox smile as he stood next to his mother and said, "One might think with how quiet you to got that they were the subject of your conversation."

"And why would we have to be talking about you?" asked Jessie.

"What would we even be saying?" asked Dawn hoping to through off the trail that they were in deed talking about Foxx. "No your mother was just sharing some of her recipes with me."

"Oka sure whatever you say." replied Foxx before looking at Jessie and asking, "Mom can I barrow Arbok for a few training sessions with dad? He's too scared to go against Joy again and Meowlth wont help."

"Hay these two have gotten me blown up enough times thank you very much also if Jessie is sharing some of her recipes I want to stay here and make sure they don't use any of them." replied Meowlth which only regulated with him receiving a knock on the head with the frying pan Jessie had in her hands.

"Well that aside." replied Jessie with a smile as she set down the pan before grabbing Arbok's pokeball and adding, "Here you go so you make sure your father stays focused on the trining and doesn't get distracted by things around him."

"Will do mom." replied Foxx as he took the pokeball and returned to where James was. With a smile he added, "Mom said yes."

Foxx then held up the pokeball and lead the ways away from the tents and food to make it safe to battle without destroying the campsite. So with another smile Foxx tosses the pokeball out and Arbok pops out and looks around. Then he sees Jessie over cooking and starts towards her only to spot James across from him. He was puzzled why would James and Wheezing be fighting him and if Jessie wasn't giving orders who was?

"Okay Arbok mom said I could barrow you to help whip dad in shape. So lets show him how to battle but lets also not go too hard on him." replied Foxx with a smile which caused Arbok to look back at him and smile. He didn't know why he liked this kid hanging around his trainer but he knew he made them happy and even has made his ball cozier.

So as a team Foxx and Arbok battled and beat James and his Wheezing many times with each time getting to be more of a challenge because Foxx only used Arbok's basic move set and not his more advanced ones that would've defiantly won him every battle because the point wasn't for Foxx to crush James but for him to allow him and Wheezing to grow closer together. In fact by the time it was said and done Jame had almost beaten Foxx and would have Jessie didn't call for dinner. Now all four of them where tired and hungry so they didn't need to be told twice.

As Foxx headed for the table with Arbok at his side Joy kind of glared at him. Boy would they be having quite the chat to tonight for sure. Joy really needs to cut down on her glaring at people but then again Foxx needs to explain things to her that well he might not really understand completely himself. Either way when they have their little chat which has been put off for sometime now with Dawn around and all, but Foxx has a feeling tonight they have to talk just the two of them.

Thus everyone sat down for dinner which turned out to be a really amazing meal and Foxx thanked Dawn for cooking it before him and Joy slipped off into the woods for their chat. This confused Dawn who just looked over at Jessie and James yet before she could ask Jessie took her hand and explained things.

"Foxx invented a neuro-band that allows him to speak with his pokemon telepathically ad they can talk to him. Ever since they first met I guess they have spent the night talking to each other before going to bed. It's a weird yet loving tradition slash routine." explained Jessie.

"Then how come this is the first time I've seen them do it?" asked a puzzled Dawn.

"Well that's because since you joined us he has spent his nights talking with you." replied James with a smile.

"Oh." sighed Dawn once more looking over to where Foxx and Joy had gone off to.
