S1E18: Home For Christmas - Part One

As soon as the boat was docked Foxx lead the group off with Joy in his arms while waving goodbye to the captain. Aft that it was only a short maybe one hour trip north to Pallet Town. It was a peaceful and quiet little town.

Though once they reached town Foxx lead the way straight to Professor Oak's house where they would be staying for the holidays. Now as Foxx was about to enter the house, Professor Oak was just exiting on his way to the lab. He stopped and smiled at them before saying, "Welcome everyone. Foxx you can stay in your old room and we can set your parents up in Gary's old room seeing as he'll just be swinging in for Christmas Day and then be on the road again."

"What about Dawn? I know you weren't originally planning on her being here but we met on the train and she was heading this way anyways. She's one of Ash's companions." explained Foxx with a smile and it was at this point that Professor Oak noticed Dawn for the first time.

"Oh dear I'm so sorry I hadn't seen you there." replied Professor Oak as he thought for a moment before adding, "Well I think we can make arrangements for her somehow."

"She can have my room and I'll just sleep on the couch." offered Foxx with a smile.

"No I can't take your bed. Surely I could take the couch." replied Dawn half not sure if she'd like to have a peek at his room but then again he'd more then likely show her if she asked.

"Sorry but my guest are not sleeping on the couch." replied Foxx and when she looked over at Professor Oak for help he just smiled.

"Sorry it seems Foxx has spoken." replied Professor Oak. "Well I'll leave you all to get comfortable but don't take too long to make it over to the lab. I plan on introducing your parents to the others before it gets too crowded."

"Will do pa." replied Foxx as he opened the door to the house to let everyone else in.

"Oh and before I forget there is two letters for you on the counter." called Professor Oak as he waved to them before continuing on his path to his lab.

That was strange who would send him anything let alone to Professor Oak's place. Oh well Foxx grabbed both of the letters as he passed by with Joy in his arms before setting her down on the couch. He then showed his parents as well as Dawn to were they would be staying for the week.

After getting settled in they all took their gifts with them to the lab so they can be placed around the large tree that Professor Oak most likely had set up for them. It was at this time that the trouble had started.

You see Ash had arrived earlier then planned and was already in the lab with Pikachu, Ash's mom, and Professor Oak. Now the moment the doors opened and they entered in everyone turned to see them. Now Ash's mom and Professor Oak had smiles on their faces but Ash and Pikachu dropped into fighting stances that told Foxx this was just the beginning.

"What are you three doing here?" asked Ash as he glared at Jessie, James and Meowlth. "Dawn they didn't hurt you and force you here did they?"

"No and they're here for Christmas!" snapped Foxx as he walked to the front of the group. "Dawn joined up with us on our way here seeing as she wanted to surprise you for Christmas. The others are my real parents and are here for family Christmas!"

"Foxx you may not know them as well as you think. You can't trust a single word they say. Most likely this whole parent's thing is just a lie to get close to the professor or our Pokémon. They are criminals! You can never trust them" exclaimed Ash as he and Pickahu got ready to fight.

"Ash I figured this would be your reaction and I'd hoped I could get you to see the reasoning in it but hay whatever. We'll just leave all your gifts with Dawn and then be on our way." replied Foxx as he set down the arm full of gifts he had.

"Pika?" called a confused Pikachu with his head tilted to one side.

"Foxx you don't have to go just them." called Ash.

"Sorry if my parents aren't welcome then neither am I. I've already missed the last nine Christmas' with them I'm not going to miss this one too. I hope you enjoy the gifts." replied Foxx as Jessie, James and Meowlth did as Foxx did and set their gifts down.

"What about your gifts?" asked Dawn not wanting them to leave.

"We'll just grab them afterwards not like we really got anything." replied Jessie with a smile as she looked at Foxx and added, "As for you my son you stay here with your friends and the family that raised you. We can always do something later together."

"No. Mom the holidays are for family and if they don't want us here we'll go have our own holiday gathering." replied Foxx as he turned and exited the lab. As for Dawn she also sat her arm full of gifts down as she watched those she'd come to call friends and companions sadly walk out, well except for Foxx, he was furious.

Dawn then walked over to Ash and gave him a huge slap right across the face before glaring at him and snapping, "You know sometimes you're the biggest jerk I know! All he wanted was his family together for Christmas. Just because your family and his has always gathered for Christmas each year and your hate for Jessie and James made it so he can't have that."

"Dawn's right Ash, Foxx has never given you the opinion that he's one to be easily fooled yet you act as if he's the dumbest person you knew. You ever consider the fact that I knew they were coming and Dawn's gotten to know them." replied Professor Oak, "Plus you need to consider that maybe just maybe some people can change just as Pokémon evolve so do people."

"Maybe you're right but what do I do?" sighed Ash as he rubbed his cheek.
