In the poorer towns the average cost of living for a year for a small family is 1 small gold, where here in the capital that could pay for but one cheap meal."

You: "I see that almost all of these businesses have multiple stories, what's the story?"

Her: "Well, the lower end businesses like that the top floor is usually the residence of the owner, however for the higher end businesses if they have 2 floors, bottom is for most, and top is for the VIPs. If they have 3 or more floors, the 2nd is usually a break aria for staff, then the higher the floor, the more important the patron."
