Ch.20 A valentine's day gift

When Marinette got home and detransformed, she sat down and sighed.

"Marinette? Are you alright?" She asked.

"I need to remember that in the eyes of Cat Noir, ladybug and Marinette are two different people. I can't let them collide into one just yet," Marinette said.

"Well, the choice is up to you when to reveal your identity to him, if you are not ready then nobody is rushing you, but you need to be careful," tikki advised

"I know, Thanks tikki," Marinette said.

"Anyway, on a different note, are you going to do anything for Valentine's day?"

Marinette's eyes widened. She had completely forgotten that tomorrow was valentine's day!

"Oh no! I haven't prepared anything!" Marinette said.

"It's okay! I'm sure you'll figure something out." Tikki encouraged.

Marinette closed her eyes, she thought about all the times she had spent with Cat Noir. She opened her eyes, an idea poppped into her head. She spent the rest of the night working on it. The next morning, she kept yawning at school because she had stayed up all night.

"Girl, you look exhausted. What were you doing last night?" Alya asked as they walked into school.

"Hm? Oh, I was working in something for valentine's day," Marinette replied.

"Oh? Something for Adrien?" She asked.

Marinette thought of how she spent the whole night making that card for Cat Noir. She kept re-doing, determined to get it right, but she couldn't tell Alya she made it for Cat Noir,

"Uh, Yeah," Marinette said.

"Well, make sure you sign your name this time," Alya teased.

"What about you? Are you doing anything with Nino?" Marinette asked.

Alya blushed.

"Tonight we are going to go find André ice cream's stand." Alya Said.

"Oh, so romantic," Marinette teased.

Alya playfully punched her.

When they walked into school, they saw Chloe being surrounded by a bunch of girls.

"What's going on?" Marinette asked as the two of them walked closer. As they got closer they saw that Chloe was wearing a gold heart necklace.

"That's right girls. Adrien gave me this necklace when he asked me to be his valentine. Sorry, but he mine! He loves me so much, this necklace is made with real gold and real diamonds!" She exclaimed.

Many girls were ooh-ing and Ah-ing while others were sobbing.

"I bet you She bought that herself and that she's only pretending that Adrien gave it to her," Alya whispered.

Marinette giggled.

"It wouldn't surprise me," Marinette said.

"C'mon, let's get to class." Alya Said.

When they got to class, they were a bunch of Of cards at adrien's desk. Marinette sighed. Even though Marinette was t going to give Adrien a valentine's say card, a part of her was still jealous. It was like tikki said. There was a part of her heart that still belonged to Adrien.

Once class had started, Marinette was counting down the hours until school was over, before she could see Cat Noir. Her eyes wondered over to Adrien. Did he have someone in mind to be his valentine? There was a smile on his as if he was thinking about someone. She wondered who it was.

Finally the school bell rang and school was over. She walked out with Alya.

"Enjoy your date with Nino Alya, I expect all the details later, Alright?" Marinette said.

"Don't worry girl, when I get back I'll tell you everything," she said.

When Marinette got home she closed her door and sighed. Tikki flew out.

"I just need to make it through patrol with Cat noir without losing control over myself. Then i can talk to him as Marinette," marinette Said.

"You can do it marinette! I believe in you," tikki said.

"Tikki spots on!" Once ladybug transformed she went to the Eiffel Tower to wait for him before starting patrol. After a couple of minutes, Cat noir showed up.

"Good evening M'lady," h said.

"Good evening kitty. Let's get to patrol," Ladybug Said.

Both of them knew they had to be careful on patrol on valentine's day. A broken heart is an easy victim for an akuma, so patrol was going to take a little longer. When she finally finished her patrol she went back tot he Eiffel Tower to see Cat Noir already waiting for her. He was looking in the direction of her house. He was waiting for patrol to be over so he could go over to her house.

"Well, looks like we're finished patrol for tonight." Ladybug Said.

Cat noir turned around to face her.

"Yeah, it seems no akumas spouted today, even though there were many easy victims." Cat Noir Said.

"Well, I have to go, see you tomorrow Cat Noir," Ladybug Said. Just as she was about leave she turned around.

"Oh, and kitty?" She said.

Cat noir turned around and faced her.

"Happy Valentine's Day," She said and then left. She had to beat Cat Noir to her house. When she got to her house she quickly detransformed. She barely had time to take a breathe before She heard a knock on her window. She opened with a smile.

"Hey, kitty, I've been waiting for you," She said.

"Apologies I couldn't be here sooner, I had to patrol the city with ladybug," he said.

"It's alright," marinette Said.

A blush started to form on her cheeks. Okay Marinette! It's go time!

"Uh, Cat Noir, I have something to give to you,"

Cat noir looked at her with anticipation.

"Here, this is for you," marinette Said.

Cat noir opened it. Inside was a poem.

By this point Marinette's cheeks were a bright red.

Cat noir closed the card and smiled.

"I'd be honoured to be your valentine princess," he said.

He walked closer to Marinette and stroked her cheek. They had gotten so close in in the past few weeks. He leaned closer, and gently pressed his lips to hers. She was surprised at first but leaned into the kiss. It was a gentle kiss, but it felt magical to both of them. Marinette wrapped her arms around Cat noir's neck and embraced the moment. When Cat Noir broke the kiss, they were both blushing.

"I'll Uh, I'll see you tomorrow Alright princess?"

"Yeah," marinette Said, still in a daze from the the Goodnight.

Goodnight Mari," he said

"Goodnight kitty,"

When Adrien got home and detransformed he still had a blush on his cheeks. Plagg flew out and went to his cheese stash. Once he got a piece of cheese he flew closer to Adrien.

"My things were getting steamy in there," Plagg Said,

Adrien ignored him and sat down, still holding the card. The poem seemed to remind him of something. He suddenly realized what it reminded him of and opened his drawer. He took out a heart shaped card he got last year from valentine's day. He opened it, and saw that the writing looked exactly the same! Marinette was the one who sent him that card? But that meant....

Marinette liked him both as Adrien and as Cat Noir! He couldn't believe it! He collapsed on his bed holding both cards. He couldn't believe his luck. Just when he thought his night couldn't get any better, he found out his princess loved ever side of him, both cat noir and Adrien, and that was the best valentine's day gift he could ever receive.
