Chapter 27

Paul rolled his suitcase into the hotel suite and shut the door behind him. He took in the small efficiency kitchen, the plain living room decked out in beige, and the crew standing around. Two bedrooms to the left and two to the right.

Terrance and Amir, along with Tom and Earl, set their stuff into appropriate rooms. Elise and Lee stood by, waiting for the rest to join them. Neither had luggage because they only stayed on site the first day. When everyone was somewhat organized, they rejoined in the living room.

Elise glanced at her watch. "We're due out in Black Canyon at one to meet with the caretakers, Janette and Jerry Braxton. It's only ten, local time. Do you want to grab something to eat or just get settled in?"

"I vote for food," Sammy said.

"Hold on," Cain countered, setting down his laptop on the coffee table in front of him and scooting forward on the couch. "I need to discuss something with everyone first."
