DRUNK

KATERINA'S POV

"Wow." That's all I can let out at the sight of how big this place is on the inside. It really is sophisticated like Olivia said. It isn't overcrowded like most clubs would be and the music isn't as loud as I anticipated, which is a good thing of course. Loud music gives me headaches.

"Told you it was sophisticated." Olivia says from beside me. She grabs my hand and pulls me to a bar where there is a dark skinned guy serving drinks. He smiles when he sees Olivia and I walking towards the bar. He jumps over the counter, grabbing Olivia and spinning her around in the air like she's a toddler which she seems to enjoy from how hard she's laughing.

"Livyyy, I was wondering when you were gonna come back here. You haven't been here in two weeks. Two whole weeks!" He says as he puts Olivia down shaking her shoulders aggressively.

"Two whole weeks, Liv" He repeats, with a painful look on his face. As if it was a taboo to not go to a club for two weeks.

"Stop with the drama Glaine. I told you I had a lot of work to do." Olivia says as she tries to put her hair- which Glaine just disheveled- back in order.

Glaine. What a nice name, I think to myself. I've never met anyone called Glaine before. Glaine has waist length dreadlocks and the most interesting set of grey eyes I've ever seen.

"Katerina, this is Glaine. He is one of the owners of this club and he's an idiot but he's one of the most reliable people I know." Olivia introduces me to him and he shoots me a kind smile.

"Katerina. It's finally nice to meet the girl Livy won't shut up about. She couldn't stop talking about your move to Castings. You look even better than she described." He says and I notice he has a slight Scottish accent which is barely recognizable unless you listen very closely.

"It's nice to meet you too Glaine. And please, just call me Kat."

"Ugh, I loathe introductions. They bore me. Hit us with the strongest drink you have Glaine. My best friend here is going to have the time of her life tonight." Olivia says, squealing excitedly.

"Of course. Drinks are on the house for you two tonight." Glaine says and with one jump, he's behind the counter again mixing up drinks for Olivia and I.

"You're going to get me drunk tonight, aren't you?" I ask Olivia with a slight frown on my face.

"Just a little bit." Olivia replies with a laugh, gesturing with her thumb and index finger. "The alcohol will make you let go a bit, you know." She smiles mischievously.

"Are you implying I'm uptight?" I ask her with a raise of my right brow.

"Do you really want me to answer that?"

I scoff at her response as Glaine puts two shots on the space in front of Olivia and I. I pick up my glass and shove the content down my throat and instantly feel a burning sensation in my chest. It's not a good feeling, it hurts and I know I will be pretty messed up if I keep drinking, but that doesn't stop me from asking Glaine to pour us more shots and before I know it, I've had 6 shots already and I can feel the tipsiness oozing in. My brain is already starting to clog up.

I was 16 the first time I got drunk and on that day I decided alcohol and I don't match. I become a whole other person and do stupid things.

Olivia grabs my hand and leads me to the dance floor and we start swaying our bodies to the sound of the music.

"Dancing will make the alcohol circulate better." Olivia screams over the sound of the music as she and I move our hips from side to side.

As we keep dancing, I feel myself loosen up more and I let the music take over. I dance and throw away all my worries with every hip thrust until I unintentionally bump into someone and spill the drink he was holding all over his shirt. I quickly turn around and meet his gaze. I can't see his face clearly because I'm drunk and dizzy and the lights are starting to blind me but he doesn't look irritated.

"What genius told you it was okay to carry a drink across a sea of moving bodies?" I say sloppily and poke his chest with my index finger. My finger comes in contact with the hardest chest I've ever come across in a human and I let out a laugh.

"What the hell do you have under that shirt, rocks?" I laugh at the man who appears to be amused with how stupid I must be acting because I catch a smirk form at the corner of his lips.

"Maybe if you weren't dancing like a crazy person, my drink would still be in my glass." He says with a raise of his brows and I feel myself get irritated at the stranger for judging my dance moves.

"I'd like to see you do better." I say to the man.

"I don't dance." He replies blankly and starts moving away. I have no idea what comes over me but I stand in his way stopping him in his tracks which makes him raise his brow at me.

"Can I help you?" The stranger looks down at me with curiosity and I flash him a radiant smile.

"Yeah, I want you to apologize for bumping into me." He stares at me blankly which makes me put my hands on my hips, challenging him.

"I did not bump into you, you bumped into me because you were dancing like a worm. But if an apology will make you get out of my way, then fine. I'm sorry for bumping into you." He gives me a fake smile accompanied with his pathetic excuse for an apology and I start saying something when I suddenly feel dizziness wash over me.

"I think I'm going to faint." I say frankly to the stranger in front of me and before I know it I'm falling and two strong hands grab me before I hit the floor.

Creation is hard, cheer me up!
