She Knows Many Things

Ella couldn't escape Christian's gaze. The man stood on the edge of the bed, but the woman in front of him was completely unaware of his existence.

Ella had just woken up and looked… stupid.

The words crossed her mind, causing her lips to curl into a faint smile.

It took a while before Ella finally realized Christian's whereabouts. She was startled and subconsciously crouched back. After that, she complained. "You scared me to death, lurking in the morning like this…"

"Huh?"

"Eh, I mean, early in the morning, you're suddenly standing by the bed. What are you doing now?"

Ella looked at Christian while rubbing her face. Her eyes narrowed, trying to wake up from her drowsiness. Ella who just woke up looked very seductive in Christian's eyes.

Most of the bruises on her neck had faded. If the ointment was applied one more time, the bruises would disappear immediately.

Ella waited for an answer from Christian, but it didn't come and made her even more anxious. She shouldn't have ruined the precious opportunity she had last night!

"Christian, what's wrong?" Ella lifted the blanket she was using and approached Christian. Then she held his hand.

Christian's eyes fell on Ella's neck.

At that moment, Ella realized what Christian was thinking. The man was thinking about the bruises on Ella's neck— the reason why he pursed his lips.

What annoyed him even more was that he didn't like the bruises, the one he had created with his own hands.

Ella raised her hand to cover her neck. "If you hate it, don't look."

When Ella said this, she had already averted her eyes and pulled her hand from Christian's arm.

"Did I say I hate it?"

Christian didn't understand what Ella was thinking. He threw the ointment he bought yesterday at her. "Use this."

Ella looked at the ointment in amazement. After that, she frowned.

What a bad man!

She nodded and took the medicine. After that, she immediately went to the bathroom.

However, she was surprised to see that the bruises on her neck weren't too obvious.

She knew very well that she had the type of skin that got red and irritated easily. The bruises shouldn't be that faint considering how tight Christian's grip was last night.

Could it be that Christian gave her ointment last night?

As this thought crossed her mind, she immediately shook her head again.

It would have been better if Christian had not applied the ointment on her in the first place.

Worried that Christian would be impatient and wait outside too long, Ella quickly took a shower and applied the ointment before opening the door and walking outside.

She was still in her bathrobe and looking for her work clothes from last night. However, no matter where she looked, she couldn't find the shirt.

Christian saw Ella circling the room and said, "I threw it away."

'I only have that shirt!' Ella screamed in her heart, but she didn't dare say it.

"As long as you're happy. It's up to you," she mumbled.

"Ah? I didn't expect you to be this understanding."

Christian noticed that what came out of Ella's mouth and the expression on her face was different.

"Hmm… I am kind, actually."

Ella walked over to Christian. She took his arm and leaned on his shoulder. "I am kind and understanding. If I were your woman, I wouldn't be looking for trouble and devote myself to you. I will not reveal my identity. I will always come when you call me. Are you sure you don't want me?" She said spoiledly.

In order to achieve her wish, Ella was willing to do anything, including what she just said.

Without waiting for Christian's response, she continued, "I'm not going to get pregnant and give birth to a child to threaten you. You don't have to worry about having an illegitimate child competing with your son for inheritance. And for all that, you just need to help me a little. How?"

"You know a lot of things."

Christian had a son and it's no secret.

But this woman seemed to know him well.

"To be your woman, of course I have to know."

Ella kissed Christian's lips gently. "Aren't you going to give it a try? I know you can't forget me."

"Deal."

Christian touched Ella's chin and stroked it gently.

It's a shame for this woman to approach him, but Christian just ignored her. Plus, Christian wanted to have this woman.

He, Christian Adipamungkas, was not a generous man.

If Ella was willing to be his toy to get a little help from him, how could he refuse?

Ella's eyes lit up.

Deal? Did that mean she managed to get this rare opportunity?

She couldn't afford to ask the question, but Christian knew what made her confused.

"Yes."

Ella's breath hitched. The feelings that filled her heart right now weren't easy to control.

"Are you sure?"

"Why? You want me to regret my decision?"

"Of course not," said Ella quickly. "Any requirements?"

Even now, Ella had allowed Christian to speak first. No matter what the conditions were, no even if she would be the losing side in this one, Ella needed it!

"I won't give you any money."

Christian squinted his eyes and observed Ella's expression.

Ella didn't mind this. The more she owed Christian, the harder it would be to escape him later. Bargaining with that demon-like man was tantamount to surrendering to death.

"You can't go out to work at night."

That was the second condition that Christian gave her.

Jealousy flared in his heart as he imagined that many men were looking at her in such revealing clothes.

Ella was his woman and only he could have her. Only he could see her.

How could he let Ella walk out there with so many wolf eyes looking at her?

He would not let anyone want what he had.

"I can't. I need money."

Is this guy kidding?

Christian had no intention of giving her money and wanted to cut off her source of income?

If he didn't want to give her money, at least he shouldn't forbid her from working!

"You can work somewhere else."

Christian knew his request was unreasonable, but he didn't want to see Ella at the bar. So, he made concessions to his requirements.

"The salary at the bar is very high."

Ella still wouldn't give up.

Christian already had everything. He had no idea how hard it was to make money, especially for someone who had just been released from a mental hospital.

Nobody wanted to give a job to a madman.

It would be strange if there was a company that would accept her.

Seeing Christian's face turning cold, Ella immediately took his arm and pleaded spoiledly.

"You know I can't work in a big company. I don't have a degree in higher education. I have to pay rent, bills for water and electricity, buy clothes, and eat… I need a lot of money…" She said pitifully.
