(the Chad) (undead perish)

"ah hello, You don't look Hollow, far from it! I am Solaire of Astora, an adherent of the Lord of Sunlight. Now that I am Undead, I have come to this great land, the birthplace of Lord Gwyn, to seek my very own sun! ...Do you find that strange? Well, you should! No need to hide your reaction. I get that look all the time! Hah hah hah!"

he looked me up and down, seeming confused.

"you sure are young for these lands," Solaire said.

in all honestly, I forgot about my age. I was constantly used to death, and my age seemed irrelevant. I nodded my head.

"Oh, ah-hah! So, I didn't scare you? I have a proposition, if you have a moment?" solaire asked.

I nodded my head. after all, I had a lot of time on my hands.

"The way I see it, our fates appear to be intertwined. In a land brimming with Hollows, could that really be mere chance? So, what do you say? Why not help one another on this lonely journey?" solaire continued.

I nodded my head. I would need all the help I could get. and something told me this guy was way stronger than me.

"This pleases me greatly! Well then, take this. We are amidst strange beings, in a strange land. The flow of time itself is convoluted; with heroes centuries old phasing in and out. The very fabric wavers, and relations shift and obscure. There's no telling how much longer your world and mine will remain in contact.

But, use this, to summon one another as spirits, cross the gaps between the worlds, and engage in jolly co-operation! Of course, we are not the only ones engaged in this. But I am a warrior of the sun! Spot my summon signature easily by its brilliant aura. If you miss it, you must be blind! Hah hah hah!"

he handed me a [white sign soapstone].

I decided that he was a good guy, he didn't give me any ill intent that I felt with the hallows so far.

this guy and the firekeeper were GOOD people, and in all honestly, I needed all the help I could get.

and I will get stronger so I can deliver vengeance if someone dares to harm those two. oh no, that person will suffer I can promise that.

I went back to the bridge that had the drake and looked at it. I can see the soul items, but I caught something even more important.

on the right there appeared to be a staircase if my vision served me correctly.

the drake took care of the hallows on the bridge so I had nothing to worry about other than that one archer and the fire breathing.

Man if only I had binoculars.

as I walked forward I got ready to sprint to the staircase on the right. once I saw the dragon open its mouth I rolled into the staircase.

the fire blew over my head just barely singed my hair and some of my back.

I grit my teeth and ignored the pain. I saw two two doorways, one on the left wall that would lead down, and the other under the bridge.

I chose the downward option, and luckily I found the undead burg bonfire.

I kicked down the ladder and went on it. I tried sliding down on it but failed miserably.

I rested at the bonfire and restored my estus, my fireballs, and my exhaustion.

'... maybe I should spendeth mine souls' I thought.

"Indeed you should," a voice said.

I turned around looking frantically for any sign of an attack, my shield ready for defense.

"so this is the mighty Percy Jackson" The voice sounded dark... but not hostile... just curious.

"my daughters never changed something so blatantly... consider me intrigued," the voice said.

'Who art thou?' I thought. it was obvious whoever this was could read my thoughts.

"we will meet again young Perseus, maybe not today, but someday," the voice said.

I couldn't hear them anymore, but I could... feel them watching me.

them? no more like one person just staring at me. that one person...

....speaking of things that intrigued people. didn't that Drake kill the hallows, and when they died he got the souls...

a smile formed on Percy, a smile that would send shivers down any hallow near him.

deciding to test that theory, Percy went up the ladder and went to the stairway leading to the drake.

Percy dodged the hallow soldier and got just in range of the drake causing him to blow fire.

Percy got into the stairwell just in time as the hallows on the bridge died.

[7975 ----> 8530 -----> 9085]

'oh yeah... it's all coming together I smiled sadistically.

Percy was a patient man after spending all those days In the cell, so Percy's farming soul didn't even make him break a sweat.

besides, it was his right to do it... who was going to stop him.

as Percy did this it made him think... souls were the currency of this world. each soul was valuable... but what if there were other ways to farm them...

what if there was a way to make getting souls faster, a way to get them incredibly fast...

"I have to say, you are very smart for your age," the voice said again.

the more Percy heard the voice he was certain they were... what are they called... a woman?

it's been so long since Percy had any human interaction that he forgot the normal, but he could never forget his mother.

she was a permanent memory that would be very, and I mean very difficult to get rid of.

"mmm .. you have a remarkable amount of loyalty to your mother don't you child," the voice said in an almost... proud way?

'that isn't thy business' Percy said as he clenched his blade.

"oh please, that mere mortal blade could never hurt me," the woman said, it sounded as if she had taken it as an insult.

'...what is thy name?' Percy said as he gulped.

"names have power young Perseus. every being knows this. so you can call me... night" the voice said after considering it.

'... thy name ... it means something... doesn't it?' Percy gulped.

"my you catch on quick. and here my daughters said you were a "seaweed brain" as they called you. However, you are the most peculiar person in the thread of fate" Night said.

'...I don't suppose thee can telleth my mine fate?' Percy asked.

a beautiful laugh was heard in my head.

"oh, chaos no. how do you humans say it? no spoilers?" Night said.

'...I don't suppose thee can answer one of mine question?' Percy asked

*sigh* "I already know. and yes what that man Solaire said is true. time and space are distorted in this world, it links to many other worlds, including his" Night said.

as they talked Percy continue his grind for souls. his body got into the rhythm.

[9085 ----> 14,539]

the grind NEVER STOPS.

'...why art thee watching me?' Percy thought.

"what can I say, you are going to be very interested... and the journey ahead will be fun," Night said.

[14,539 ----> 20,548]

Percy decided to stop grinding and leveled up.

'this should be good for now' Percy thought before he sat against the wall. while Percy sat there he began thinking of strategies to overcome the dragon.

I mean there was the obvious strategy of killing it. but I don't think that would work.

there was also running past it, which shouldn't be possible... unless I draw him out first.

mmm... I could shoot an arrow, or something like that to lure it out, however considering it was still a drake it probably wouldn't affect it.

then... use bait? that would certainly work, but considering the Drake's target is me, it would be hard.

no not hard, extremely hard.

recalling upon his memory he tried to remember everything about the bridge.

he knew there was a bonfire under the dragon, but the bridge itself posed the problem.

there was hardly cove-. that it, cover.

there was a place on the bridge that would theoretically protect him from the drake's flame.

yes, that could work, and if it doesn't I'll just have to reclaim my souls and humanity.

Percy got up from the bonfire and climbed the ladder again. his dark sea-green eyes shined with brimming determination.

Percy got to the staircase and got up. he quickly ran into the corner of the bridge just as the bridge was set ablaze.

Percy held up his shield, it blocked some of the heat that passed by but it was still draining his health.

he took a sip of his estus and waited.

finally, the dragon came down, and Percy used that time to run past him, and to the bonfire. the drake was about to blow fire at me so I went to the door on the right.

the drake realized he couldn't get me so it flew off. this made me finally breathe Normally.

finally, Percy lit the bonfire and rested.
