Prologue

Kai has dark skin, long black hair, he's 5'11, and he has toned muscles. Liam is tan, short dirty blonde hair, he is 6'8, and he has bigger muscles than Kai. Kai's mom died when he was young and his dad went to jail for abuse. His neighbor hood loved him so much that the Landlord and her daughter started raising him when he was six. Liam has a loving mother and father who left the apartment to him and bought their own house when he was 15 and supported him. So they gave their son an apartment and got their own house (cause they rich pepol). Oh and the landlord's daughter loves henna and practices on kai so he looks like a guy with a bunch of tattoos, but they're just henna.

Kai lived in a simple neighborhood. There were 3 houses that made a half circle, There was a large tree that was right in the middle. It was a nice place to get away from the large city, even though it's in the city. Kai lived in the middle apartment building which was divided into 2 stories. The landlord lives on the top floor, her name was Sarah and she took over the apartments when her mom passed away 5 years ago. Kai lived alone on the 1st floor, but a lot of renters came in and cooked in the large kitchen. Kai was taken in when he was 6 and Sarah's mom died when he was in 4-5th grade. Now him and Liam were seniors in college.

"Hey Kai, do you plan on going to college?" Sarah asked. Kai was smart, the top in his class and he loved animals. "I can get a scholarship, so I plan on going to college." he said. "And I work at the bakery down the street." kai said. "When you get older, I'll support you." Kai said, letting her braid his hair. "You're going to the uni. across the city?" Sarah asked. "Yeah," kai said. "I need to go to school, I'll buy milk and chicken feed on the way home." he said, leaving the apartment.

"Are you ready for pe?" Liam asked kai. Kai nodded. "man, if you go to the university here I have to go there too." Liam said. P.E passed by fast and on the way to break, they saw a boy being bullied. Liam rushed over, but he tripped himself on purpose. "You okay?" kai asked. "Yeah." Liam said. "Go help him." Liam said. Kai walked over and threw one of the three boys to the side. Noticing the threat, a boy turned to punch him. He punched him, tripped and tore kai's shirt. Kai, who didn't have the money to buy clothes, was now really upset. He kicked the boy who ripped his shirt, then he stepped on his head. The other one ran away.
