Revenge

On the streets of Greenwood Village, a young man with silver hair could be seen walking with a weird grin on his face. This boy was of course Mason, looking for his first target.

'Where is that fat fucker at?' Mason asked trying to remember where Richard (fatty) usually hangs around with his friends.

The village isn't big, so there aren't many places for children to play around. So after looking for another 15 minutes, Mason saw the ugly, fat, short and once again fat guy and his friends.

"Yo, fatty. Can i chill with you guys here? I'm bored staying at home and watching TV." Mason said trying to hold his laugh and keep a serious face.

Richard looked back, and saw who it was. Turning to his friends and asking what to do about this situation. The friends were all targets of Mason in the past, so they all had a common thought: Verbal abuse.

"I wouldn't want to be near you even if you begged on the ground for 2 hours. By the way, what's up? You never want to hang with anybody, unless its a different type of 'hanging' maybe." Fatty said, while he and his friends all started laughing.

Mason looked at Richard with a look of pity. How could one be this stupid? He fell for his trap even though he didn't finish it yet. Alas, this just makes it easier for him.

"You're right, I would rather hang myself than having to stay with you guys for 5 minutes. That being said. I have to apoligise to you anyways, I'm sorry Richard. I shouldn't have done it." Mason said while his acting deserved an Oscar.

The fatty looked confused. 'This guy isn't the type to apoligise.' he thought.

"Ha, you think apoligising for all you've done now will change our opinion about you? Well you couldn't be more wrong." The fat guy and his friends all nodded.

"I wasn't apoligising for that." Mason said with a smile.

"What were you apoligising then?" Fatty asked curiously

Mason smiled as he rushed forward and punched the fat guy in the face. Of course, he didn't hit with his full power since this guy was just a normal person. If he did hit with his full power, Richard would probably have brain damage.

"Right, I guess I need to work on my timing. Now would've been better. Well, what's done is done." Mason said as he looked at the rest of the friend group with a smirk.

These guys hadn't done anything to him personally, so he wouldn't start hitting them like some kind of savage. They still ran away like a bunch of cowards, though. The fat guy got hit because he started talking about Elena, this was probably the worst mistake of his life. A close second was being born.

"Who would've known revenge feels this good. Although there are still people that I don't like, they haven't really done anything to me so beating them up is a bit too much. It's also a bit boring beating normal people up, I'm already looking forward to the academy."

'Well, I should probably head back home. I still want to spend as much time as possible with my mom before I leave for a couple of years."

And so, Mason started walking back on the road towards his house. As he neared his house, he saw a girl his age stand on the sidewalk.

'Revenge isn't the only thing I should do today, I still owe her one, thanking her once more won't hurt.' He thought as he walked towards the girl.

"Yo sweetheart, busy waiting for me?" Mason asked with a smug look, seemingly thinking that he was cool.

Emma cringed as she tried to keep her cool.

"No, did you hit your head too hard. You shouldn't say that type of thing if you ever want a girlfriend in the future."

Mason felt an imaginary stab in his side, as he brushed it off.

"I'll note it down. The real reason I'm here is because I wanted to thank you once again before I leave this village for a couple of years. So, thanks a lot for saving me that day!" Mason said with a bitter smile.

"Wait, you're leaving the village? And for a couple of years at that. What are you ging to do?" Emma asked with a slight look of disapointment visible to everybody but Mason.

"Yeah, you don't know yet? I awakened as a Mage a couple of days ago, so I'll be leaving wednesday. I'll be attending Lionhart Academy after summer vacation!" Mason said

'Lionhart Academy, that's the number one school in the country! How talented is this kid in magic?' Emma asked herself, not knowing that he was attempting to go through a half open backdoor.

"Congratulations, Mason! I knew you'd be a great person in the future after seeing your heroic acts of killing a bear by yourself!" Emma said, trying to score some points with Mason since he was destined to be rich in the future.

"Thanks, I'll get going now. My mom told me to be quick, she truly worries too much." Mason lied. This time, it was him trying to act cool so this cute girl would maybe like him a bit more.

"Alright, see you in a few years then, Mage." Emma said jokingly as she saw Mason leaving.

After reaching his house, Mason entered after taking his shoes off.

"I'm home!" He yelled, trying to find where his mom was at.

"Welcome back sweetheart, how did saying goodbye go?" Elena asked with a grin on her face.

"It went surprisingly well, you might get a complaint sometime soon though. Don't blame me for it, I tried to contain myself." Mason said grinning even more than his mother.

Elena's grin immediately turned into a slightly angry look.

"You shitty child! I've told you since your birth to not fight any other children, so why do I still get complaints every single month!" She said with a deeper than usual voice.

Mason was quiet as he ran upstairs, evading the slipper his mom threw with ease. After getting to his room, he started to change. He said he would spend time with his mom, but he got weirdly addicted to getting stronger. He put on casual clothes and after walking outside again, he reached the exit of Greenwood Village.

'Time to go test 11 years of Mana Practice!'

Once again testing his power!
