Ignoring my mates as they tried to get my attention, I looked at the castle in front of me.
Honestly, it was nothing like what I expected it to be.
A part of me was thinking that it would be nothing more than ruins like it was in the book, while another part was expecting something similar to the Greek or Roman palace. Hell, even an Egyptian palace would have made more sense than the one in front of me.
Each of those palaces had a special place in ancient history… a time that I always equated with the Ethawainians. But this one looked like it stepped out of a Medieval European history book.
The massive limestone walls rose above even the tallest of trees, and over top of the walls were four towers, taller than any skyscraper I had ever seen. I could have sworn that if I looked harder, I could actually see knights patrolling the ramparts and ox drawn carts pulling food or wine into the central courtyard.
