Slithered away

I look at the other snakes and go to stand but my feet are gone. I try to move and realize all I can do is wiggle my body. It doesn't take long for me to figure out how to move thankfully because the other snakes slowly approach closer.

"Back off," I try to say but all I do is hiss and my tail taps the ground. The other snakes stop moving for a moment. I sniff the air catching a hint of the smell of outdoors and I bolt towards the smell and immediately it begins to become a race to the door. I barely dodge the snake in front of me and make it through the door.

"Catch her!" a voice yells from behind me and I move as fast as I can towards the smell and make it out of the house. I think of my son and start heading in a direction that feels right inside. I move as quickly as I can uncertain if I'm being followed.

I'm not sure how long or how far I went as I neared a football field. I am exhausted from using up all my strength to flee from Drake that I barely recognize the bleachers. I start to feel my body collapse. I reach out towards the field with my hand, 'My hand is back to normal,' I think suddenly pain hits my body and I cry out. I collapse where I am looking out into the field I see someone running towards me. 'Its too late,' as the last thought as my world fades to black.

I feel something stir inside of me as I am at practice doing front-back-go's. I keep looking towards the edge of the field as if something is calling me when I hear a women screaming out in pain. I jump up running towards the sound and I find her!

I have been looking for her all day and had anyone affiliated with my pack looking as well, here she is! Passed out, naked, and from the looks of it unresponsive. I pick her up and try to wake her up but she doesn't respond.

"Silverstein what is your... Oh my God is that a naked woman?!" Jake yells jumping backwards.

"Quite TALKING and get the Coach. She's in bad shape and needs medical attention," I snap back pulling her towards me. I take off my jersey and put it on her as best I can before the Coach comes over. I touch the side of her face and it feels incredibly soft. I look at her hands and notice they are manicured, 'huh, these weren't this way yesterday,' recalling the blast from her body.

"Silverstein, what is going? Why do you need me over here in the middle of... Shit! Is she breathing?!" Coach rushes over and checks her pulse. He fumbles to pull out his cellphone and he starts to make some phone calls. My attention focusing back on her then notice the earrings in her ears. The earrings are real and huge! They look similar to earrings my mother and sisters have from Le Vian or Jewelery shows. From how she looked yesterday, she didn't seem like she would own earrings like these let alone wearing them so casually. Her wrist also has a matching bracelet that is beyond a typical tennis bracelet. 'Something is off and she smells... different than yesterday,' I thought as I held her.

"We have a pack doctor and the Pan Alpha coming. She'll be fine. It looks like she shifted for the first time but..." Coach trailed off as two cars and a van pull up. Coach waves them over.

"Do you know the patient?" the lady asks me taking her pulse.

"I'm her mate," I murmur moving her a little closer as a strong dominating male presence gets closer.

"What's her beast?" the lady asks after checking her eyes.

"She has to be a wolf," I say.

"She is not a wolf, pup," a strong male voice says. I look up and see the Pan Alpha walking towards me, "What the hell did you do to my niece?!" he growls at me and I can feel the anger radiating off of him. This is what a true Alpha feels like and only my father has ever made me feel like this before.

"I found her like this, sir," I stand my ground. I'm not the Alpha of my Pack, yet, but when I do become the Alpha I cannot show weakness to others.

"Pup, you got some balls standing up to me in my territory with my niece like this! You..." the Alpha is cut off by the lady, "Alpha, she had her first shifting. She just needs rest. I recommend she goes home." the lady stands up and leaves.

"I'll take her home," I say immediately not wanting to lose this chance.

"The hell you will, pup! She is my niece and I know she doesn't have a mate. You will have to wait to see her," he says taking her from me. I reluctantly let her go. This is his territory and it is his niece. By our ancient traditions and laws, he has the right to dictate her fate and I am a guest in their territory with no say so unless she was already my mate which until I mark her, she is not.

She is placed in the Alpha's back seat of his car where a women sits and holds head in her lap stroking her hair. The door is shut and I watch as they drive off. I grab my stuff and head to the locker room and quickly get cleaned up. I grab my cell phone.

"Find out all the information about the Alpha Pan-Were Family specifically a niece of his and get it to me right away," I say into my phone.
