Summoned

Xavier slowly opened his eyes. Waves of dizziness washed over him as he struggled to sit up. He grabbed his head with one hand as he tried to fight back the agonising pain in his head. After several minutes of excruciating headache, it became bearable and he could now pay attention to his surroundings.

He was in a partially lit room. His eyes followed the dancing flame on a wall which seemed to be the only source of lighting in the room. The shadow of the flame moved gracefully as cold breeze blew through a little window which appeared to be the only opening in the room.

Xavier couldn't remember a lot. He remembered being in class just a moment ago. He had been studying with his best friend and..... the rest was blank. He decided to worry about that later and first find out where he was or how to get out at least. Resting on the wall for support, he pulled himself to his feet. His legs wobbled as he tried to walk.

Still using the wall as a means of support, he dragged himself to the door which was shut tight. It was thick and had some weird marks and dents. Xavier shuddered as he thought of what could have made those marks. He wasn't the type to get scared without reason. He had been able to remain calm even after waking up in an enclosed room with no idea of where he was but on seeing those marks which looked like they were made from claws.....very strong claws, he felt fear.

Clank!

The sound of the steel door alerted him. He instinctively stepped back as the door gently came open.

A man in steel armour and a helmet which he held in one hand walked in. He stood tall, almost twice Xavier's height. Xavier was just sixteen and was of average height but could still be considered tall. But this man hulked over him like he was a dwarf. Xavier could not see much about the features of the man thanks to the poor lighting but an ugly scar on the man's face caught his attention.

"This one is also awake. Get him out.", the man's husky voice shook the room.

Xavier was not given time to figure out who he was talking to when two other tall armoured men, although not as tall as this man, marched in and grabbed him. He couldn't even struggle with their hold as their strength were monstrous. It felt like if they tried harder they could break all his bones.

He was effortlessly dragged out of the room. He could only clench his jaw as he was being led out.

'What kind of monsters were these?', he thought to himself as he stared at the two armoured men in shock.

One of these men was was even enough to handle him easily.

Xavier's shock soon shifted as he was moved out of his room which he now figured was a cell, they were in a cave like area and it was well lighted as several fire torches were aligned on the walls.

That wasn't only the reason for Xavier's shock. He could see several familiar faces. Students just like him were brought out of rooms just like the one he was just in. As soon as he was brought out, the guards had left him and gone to other cells like they were daring him to run if he could. Fortunately, Xavier was sensible to know his own capability and stood rooted to the ground.

The cave was beginning to get flooded by more students as more doors were unlocked. whispers, cries, sobs filled the atmosphere. He could even see some of the bullies in his school wailing like four year olds.

Xavier rolled his eyes dramatically. He could recognize some of the students. Some were classmates, some were his juniors and some were his seniors. He had expected to see a teacher at least but was disappointed. They were on their own.

He frowned as someone popped into his memory. If he had been studying with his best friend just before appearing here, then the probability of him being here were high. He started to walk into the crowd of students, his brows knotted in worry as he started his search.

"Xavier!!", a voice called out.

It was from a black, slender boy. Xavier smiled as he and his best friend locked into a brotherly embrace.

"Looking good Jace", Xavier grinned.

Jace rolled his eyes at Xavier's sarcasm. How could he be looking good?

His uniform could not even be called a uniform anymore. He woke up to meet them ripped, revealing more of his bony structure. His hair looked like someone let a cat go wild in it. He felt like he had not washed up in days. He didn't even know where he was. He had even cried when he had woken up at first(something he would be keeping to himself).

Nope! He wasn't looking good.

"Leave it to you to make silly jokes", Jace sneered. The two of them chuckled once more before Jace turned serious.

"Xavier... do you know where we are?", Jace asked.

Xavier sighed and shook his head gently. He was just as confused and afraid as his best friend.

Jace was about to say something else when a loud voice interrupted.

It was the extraordinarily tall man from before.

"Good.... now that all of you are awake and gathered. Follow me.... oh and if you try to leave the group and escape. Those guys behind you will strike you down.", He said.

The students all turned to look behind where ten guards stood, their hands on the hilts of their swords and their eyes as cold as ice.

Without a word but increased wailing, the students followed the hulking armoured man.

Hi guys!
