We slept in a nearby hotel for the night after our fun time at the amusement park. I wished that we could stay more as this is our first gathering for a while. But I guess everything has its end.
Not to mention, Grenno interrupted our fun moments, which I didn't appreciate of him. If he didn't call me and told me to come, then we would have fun more.
"Are you nervous?"
I turned around to see Gon stared at me filled with worry, as we all laid down in our comfort. Alluka and I slept on the two beds, while the two boys were on the floor.
After hearing that from him, I couldn't be able to sleep. If I tell him about me treating Grenno as just a nuisance, he might hate me. It's better to keep it a secret.
"I don't know what he wants from me, but I owe him a lot. He helped me in knowing my arm and making me stronger." I said, which is true. Ever since he started helping me, I already owe him which I hate to have.
"I guess this will be the time to pay him gratitude," I uttered with a smile on my face for him to see, which of course, wasn't the sincerest. He also smiled at me but unlike mine, his was warm. That brought guilt to my heart as I didn't tell him my true opinion about the situation.
I don't even know why I am growing a grudge against Grenno, when he was willing to help me before despite his busy self. It's just that my heart aches and what's on my mind was that he was a nuisance.
Not just the happiness in me isn't enough, even just a small hate turned into a monster inside of my heart. Just what is wrong with me?
The next day came in and we finally prepared our departure towards Yorknew City. Zaban City had its own port for ships so we decided to go to the city through it.
Minutes later we made it to the port and it was full of ships, as I couldn't help but stare at them.
I remember that this is the start of my adventure with Gon and the others, where I decided to leave Captain and my co-workers on the ship. I miss them but they said to not see them anymore, so they could be safe from any threat I'll be carrying. And I know that, too.
Unfortunately, their ship wasn't here at this time so I couldn't be able to see them. We rode towards Yorknew City and we made it without any trouble.
The city was the same as the time I left it, and it's always been like that. It was dark and bland, no happiness can be felt. The only happy memories I made here were with my father, which I could make even without the city.
There are bullies, kidnappers, and mobs lurking around. I couldn't help but have nightmares. I should have known about my arm's ability before.
We passed through a park with a playground inside it, now filled with children along with their parents, having fun and making friends with each other.
The world is unfair. The time I was here, I couldn't be able to have a single friend and instead, got bullied for my arm. It wasn't a great experience for me, and it was supposed to be the same for the other children. I wish they could experience the same grief as I had.
As I continued to stare at the happy children as I intended to do terrible things, something flew in front of me, catching my attention.
It dropped like a feather but it fell as hard as a pebble. Out of curiosity, I lowered my head and found a small paper plane lying on the ground, without the ability to fly anymore.
I knelt down and picked it up, examining it. It was made of sky blue colored paper and it seemed that every fold was made of an origami expert. I remembered making this and playing with my father. Paper plane was the only thing I knew how to fold at that time.
I couldn't help but smile at the sudden memory that showed up in my mind. But somehow, I was less happy than the last time I reminisced about it.
Out of curiosity, I started following the direction where it flew from, tilting my head to find its origin. And besides, it was better to return other people's belongings.
It didn't take a while before I found the owner of the plane as it was just only meters away from my position.
There, I saw an older boy in black hair and cyan eyes, wearing an admiral blue coat and dark ocean blue pedals, with gray boots. He sat down at the top of the monkey bars, holding a paper with the same color as what I was holding, surrounded by other finished paper planes on the ground, piling and scattered.
I don't think I could be able to get near him, but I tried to. As I took a step, I carefully put my feet on the ground, keep them away from smashing the planes.
And as I got closer to him, I started to see something that I didn't saw before in him... or should I say... her.
Her big round eyes and a small bump on her shirt gave it away, and I couldn't help but be embarrassed that I thought of her as a guy. She had porcelain skin and shape which belongs to a woman.
I was too focused on her features that I didn't notice that she was looking at me directly in the eye. But I couldn't be able to react immediately and no matter how nervous I am, I couldn't be able to release it.
"Hey... uhh... Is this yours?" I asked with low interest, raising my hand and lending the paper plane to her.
Her face changed from a poker face to a surprised one as she saw what I was holding.
She immediately jumped from the bars and rushed to my side, not even bothered by the paper planes she dropped on the ground to be stomped on.
"Sorry about that!" She said as she bowed with too much angle, which made me felt superior over her, even though I think she was years older than me.
"It's fine." I tried to stop her from her politeness but she didn't end it until she was satisfied, which made me embarrassed more. I never did anything wrong, and neither she did.
"What are you doing with this origamis?" I changed the subject as it also piqued my curiosity. I didn't know that there would be someone to fold too much.
"Eh?" That sound made me raised my eyebrow at her. When I heard that, I couldn't help but have my suspicion of her. It seems like she was planning something, but I don't think it was dangerous.
"I-I was just... uh... I was just playing around with them..." She excused, even though with her stutters and gestures lost my trust in believing that what she said was real.
"So you really like them so much, huh?" But I decided to go with the flow, as it seems like she didn't mean any harm to me. If she was, then I would fight back.
"Y-Yeah... really like them..." She said, now tired of convincing about her situation, as she looked her eyes away from me. She is indeed uncomfortable with our first meeting. I don't know if it was because of my pushy self or her awkwardness.
"I'm Yuni. Yuni Hayashi, from Jappon." She said with a normal smile, thus changing the subject from her motives. But I wasn't bothered by it, since I was also curious. That's why she's an origami expert.
"I'm Secco. Secco Rasvin. I was once living in Yorknew City, but..." I paused in my introduction, thinking about what I should say after that. I don't want her to know about my arm since I cut ties with it a year ago and didn't have a connection with it anymore,"...now, I started traveling."
"Really? That's awesome!" She complimented, which I didn't expect her to do. I thought she will see right through but I guess not. I could confirm it as her eyes only showed sincerity.
I guess I am the only one who was pretending.
"Secco!" Suddenly, a familiar voice was heard from behind. I turned my head around to see Gon raising his hand to wave at me. His warm smile was shining under the sun.
I turned back to Yuni, who was confused about what was happening. I could only give him an apologetic smile.
"My apologies, but I had to go," I said. "Nice meeting you, Miss Yuni."
I wasn't lying. It was nice meeting another friend these days. But I was suspicious of her folding paper planes. It could be for a ritual or an ability. Or it's just a plain hobby.
"Same here! I'm sure we'll meet again. And please, just call me Sister Yuni, 'kay?" She responded along with a smile that told me she was telling the truth.
I couldn't help but smile at her energetic behavior. She is a bit childish, but once I had known her, she started to look like a big sister. I was also wishing for one before, but too bad I'm an only child.
After that short farewell to her, we finally went on walking to the train station, where Grenno's car was waiting for us to bring in his bunker.
It didn't last that long to get to our destination but the quiet ride made it too long. We finally went inside and was being brought to his office while my friends acknowledged the whole place.
The office, in which I went before, was lying on one of the bottom floors of the bunker, so it took us a while to get to the room until we finally made it to the door.
I opened it without any permission and there he is sitting in his swivel chair, crossing his arms in his chest.
"Sorry for calling you all here," Grenno said. His face was the same as before, with brows furrowed like he had a bad mood. "I've received information from Java about the monster cells."
He started explaining the details that he knew. At the Philene Village, they found an entrance cave towards an underground tunnel.
The place was under a house of Marda Residence which is separated from other houses in the village. It was also the same house where Java's client was taken by an unknown entity.
It was useful information, but I don't think they should bother telling me since I don't have the arm anymore.
"Is that all?" I asked him, with a glare in my eyes. He nodded as a confirmation, which made me more irritated. "Then... why bother telling us? I don't have the arm anymore."
He wasted our time having fun at the amusement park just to say that they found a clue towards the monster cells he was talking about. The arm wasn't in my body anymore so he shouldn't be needing me.
I couldn't help but give him deadly glares, and he did the same, feeling my anger inside me. But he was calmer than I expected.
"There's a reason why you had the arm and you can't ignore that." He said, which made my hands turned into fists, clutching and shivering.
I felt the same anger as the man I met at the amusement park. To me, he seems to have the same level as him right now and I couldn't help but imagine crushing them.
Everything. Everything that annoys me... I wanted to beat them... beat them until they die.
I sighed deeply, trying to calm my mind. If I rage too much, I wouldn't be able to control myself. I don't even know why I was getting mad easily these days.
Aunt Mito said it was because I was entering puberty so I guess this is normal.
"Well, if that's the only thing you want from me, then we should take our leave now." I forgave him but I didn't even look at him in the eye, now with crossing arms.
"Except..." I heard him speak that word, which made me lift my head to look at him. I was annoyed more. What does he want now?
He raised his hand and pointed his index finger to Killua, who had no idea what he had gone through. "I want that white kid to talk to me."
I glared at him as I clenched my fist. So he planned this all along. He really doesn't want me, he wants my friend.
"What do you want from Killua?"
Hi!
I'm very sorry for the previous update.
And the new character in here, Yuni, was actually an OC of one of my fans, @_KADIE_ of Wattpad, in which won from my contest. All of the character information and credits belong to them.
That's all. Thank you! :)
