Part 22: Release X To X Return

"Finding my Hatsu type?" I asked them in confusion as I tilt my head and start blinking since I didn't fully understand what Java said earlier.

I know that Hatsu is one of the fundamentals of Nen, but I didn't expect it to have some types. I smirked at them. I guess it's quite exciting.

"First, we will explain all the types and how to find out which type you belong," Java explained and this continued for a long period of time.

She said that there are six types of Hatsu: Enhancement, Transmutation, Emission, Manipulation, Conjuration, and Specialization. Each type has a specific way on how to use Aura. One can determine their Nen type by performing "Water Divination".

"For example, Transmuters can copy the properties of an object into their own Aura. I copied the properties of the magnet into my own Aura. So, I am a Transmuter." she explained.

"And Conjurers can make a specific object using their own Aura. Archi can make his multi-purpose mallet out of Aura so he's a Conjurer," she added.

After hearing those words, I can't help myself but overestimate Java and Archi. I didn't know that one can make weapons of their own using Aura.

"Now it's your turn," Java said to me as they let me sit on a clean log. In front of me is a tall chopped tree root and on top of it is a shiny glass goblet filled with clear water with a fresh green leaf floating on the top.

"Put your hands beside the goblet and try to activate your Aura," Java instructed. I followed her instructions and closed my eyes to feel the Aura flowing all over my body. It feels like a liquid in my skin.

I concentrated and all of a sudden, the water in the goblet increased and flowed out of it. The overflowing water reached to the ground, making mud all over it.

"Woah! You're an Enhancer. Nice type." Java praised me. My cheeks grew red because of what she said and started to rub the back of my head.

"Enhancers can enhance a specific part of their body or the properties of a selected object."

When I knew what is my Nen type, I became so happy to myself but still, I didn't know what should I do using it.

"You should start enhancing your type by practicing Water Divination. That will be our training today," she said.

I started my training with the Water Divination. The water increases more and it flows faster as I practice it. Noon came but I started to feel tired.

"Hey, Secco," Java called me.

"Yes, Master," I replied.

"You said that you want to know about your arm, right?" she said and I nodded as a confirmation.

She gave me a smirk and wink at me. "Well, good news. I have a friend Beast Hunter who was really a connoisseur in things like those in your arm."

"Really?~" I assumed.

She nodded to confirm.

"His name was Grenno. He was playing a game right now and I don't know when will he stop."

"A game?" I asked with curiosity.

"I think he called it 'Greed Island'," she said, unsure if she heard it right. "Don't worry. I'm sure you'll find him."

I nodded and was about to continue my training when suddenly, my pocket vibrates. I pulled the thing that causes it to vibrate and found out that it was my phone ringing.

The name flashing on the screen was from a person that I didn't expect to call today. I accepted it and put it near my ear.

"Hello, Killchi?" I said to the other line.

"Ah hello, Secco! It's me, Gon. Long time no see. We really miss you!" a cheerful and innocent voice greeted me. I was surprised that it was actually Gon who called. I smiled widely because of what I heard. It was just a few weeks that passed by.

"Me too! I can't wait to see you and Killchi!~" I shouted cheerfully and full of excitement. I really missed them even though it's just weeks.

"Oh, you mean Killua! He's right here!" Gon didn't speak for a minute until I heard two voices on the phone.

"Shh! Don't say I'm here." I heard Killua's whispering voice.

"Killchi! I really missed you!~" I shouted.

"I-Idiot!", he said. Gon suddenly shouted from the other line. "Secco, how about let's meet on Monday at Yorknew City? We'll give you the address tomorrow."

"Okay, I would really love to see you again!~"

We bid farewells on the phone and hanged up at the same time. I looked at Java and Archi and I realized that they also heard our conversation. Java's eyes turned into slits and Archi lowered his head with his hands formed into fists.

"Hey, Secco," Java called. "What is the boy you called 'Killchi' to you?"

It took me some time to understand what she says and a light bulb flashed into my head.

"Ah, you mean Killua. Well, he's not my friend yet. He's just my..."

I didn't finish what I said because to be actual, there's no relationship between us two. We're not friends, we're not siblings. I think he sees me as his enemy, but I'm not.

"Well anyway, you shouldn't call him in nicknames. You will look childish and immature. You should call him normally." Java changed the subject and I tried to follow what she said.

So I became so childish for calling Killua some nicknames.

I continued my training until the sunsets. Soon, I will leave here in two days.

NARRATION

"Killua, why didn't you say 'hi' to Secco? You're so rude!" Gon shouted at Killua who was already covering his ears from any scolding he makes. The corridor that they're walking towards Gon's room, was filled with his voice. They just finished having a bath.

"I don't care about that blonde. She's really noisy as ever." Killua replied and looked away. He's starting to mutter some words to himself. "Why did I decided to call her..."

They continued to walk towards their room as Killua tried to remember what he did earlier.

*"Gon, what should I do?!"*

*"Huh?!"*

*"I accidentally called Secco! Please talk to her!"*

*"O-Okay!!"*

"It's really embarrassing..." he muttered again to himself.

After that scolding, they walked in silence and the only thing that can be heard in the hallway was their noisy footsteps. Not until Gon broke the silence.

"Killua," he called.

"What?"

"You know, Secco told me about her past." Killua became interested and turned his eyes to him.

"She said that she didn't care about any bullies, because his father loved her so much. He always supported her despite her appearance." he continued and his face turned into sadness.

"But... his father betrayed her and sold her to someone. She escaped and killed many people. Now, she tried to forgive her father because she still loves him but she couldn't do it. It still angers her."

This story changes most of Killua's opinions and judgments about Secco. He only felt pity at that moment and no irritation at her. But this emotion suddenly changed, as he remembered something from the past.

SECCO RASVIN

A day past and the water increases rapidly as I tried to perform Water Divination, even the leaf on the top flew out.

"Great job, Secco!" Java congratulated me with some small claps. She approached me and formally stood in front of me.

"Now, you're officially passed the Hunter exam," she said.

"Yay! I did it!~" I cheered as I repeatedly jumped in my position because of my accomplishment.

"I know you can do it..." She added and turned her head on her back to see Archi who lowered his head. "Unlike the others who thought you can't do it."

Archi suddenly grew red and immediately looked away.

"And you're leaving tomorrow morning, huh?"

I nodded in response. "It's so sad to leave you here. But I really missed my friends."

"Then, you can call me when you need help, okay?", she said with a wink.

"Don't mind, Master! You've done so much for me. I should say those lines." I said.

She rubbed her nape. "Then, you owe me one," she said and I nodded.

Minutes past, I heard Archi sighed deeply and looked at me with a serious face, although I can still see his reddish cheek.

"Master, w-would you mind leaving us alone?" he asked with a slight nervousness on his face.

Java just smiled at him and left us with no trace. I was full of confusion and curiosity about what's happening.

"Archi, what's wrong?" I asked him, but he didn't answer, and just approached me with clenched fists.

"S-Secco, I have something to tell you." he said. I tilted my head to show I'm curious.

"I... I..." he stuttered. His voice was full of anxiety and the words that he wanted to say couldn't get out of his mouth, no matter how he tried to release them.

"I... I just want to know..." he lowered his head, facing the ground. He doesn't have the courage to see me in the eye.

"...W-What is that boy Killua to you? I mean... d-do you have feelings for him?" he asked.

His questions made my mind explode and my cheeks go red. I didn't expect him to ask such personal questions about Killua.

I don't know how to answer. My brain was stuck on the question. Does that mean he knows that I have feelings for Killua?

I tried to calm myself, and let out a sigh, which he heard.

"I-I don't know how to answer your question, but I'll try my best. Actually, these past days, there is a feeling in my heart that says I missed him. I want to see him again." I said. The embarrassment I felt was gone and raised my head to smile in front of Archi.

"You can say that I like him."

JAVA

I know it's also my business to listen to their talk, but I realized that I'm not a mother of neither the two of then. So I chose to just move away. I don't know what will be their conversation all about, but I have a feeling that Archi will gonna confess to Secco.

I felt that he has feelings for her since the time that she promised to him. He didn't have any promises before.

I decided to go back to the training ground, and what I found is the most unexpected scenario. Archi was crying. Secco was nowhere to be seen.

I guess things didn't go well. I knew that Secco already has feelings for the boy she talked on the phone. It seems like Secco didn't accept Archi.

I approached him and gave him a hug to comfort him. When I looked at him, he was like a little boy being bullied.

He tried to wipe the tears falling on his cheeks, but still, more are coming on it.

"It hurts. But... I won't let it provoke me. I won't give up! I won't lose to him. I don't want to lose her!"

He shouted between his cries. That time, I realized that I'm glad I didn't leave him all these years. I hugged him tightly like his sister.
