Murphy's law.

Sabastian and Nyx were playing video games at their apartment when Ian arrived sitting on one of the single sofas.

"Well, I got news for everyone! But since you two are here, I'll just tell you guys what's it about. I'm tired and will go take a nap soon." Ian said pouring himself a glass of water from the table in front of them.

"What's the news?" Nyx asked without losing her focus on the game.

"We finally have our first failure! Erina and Hidelio failed in taking out the Jordan brothers. Well, they got one of the brothers but the other one got away."

Sabastian paused the game before turning to Ian.

Both Nyx and Sabastian were surprised by hearing Ian.

"What happened?" Nyx.

Ian sighed before telling the two about the report Erina submitted to him an hour ago.

"After planning for weeks, Erina and Hidelio raided the Jordan brothers hideout yesterday. Their plan was perfect, but someone recognised Hidelio and a commotion broke out. Because of it, one of the Jordan brothers was able to escape since Hidelio was late on taking the floor." He took out his phone from his pocket and opened the email of the report he got from Hidelio.

He then handed the phone to Sabastian, so Nyx and Sabastian can read the report.

After reading the report, both Sabastian and Nyx sighed at the same time.

Nyx giving Ian his phone back, opened her mouth giving her thoughts on the report she read.

"It's understandable, accidents happen. It was an unexpected event, no one could have predicted what happened. It's not like we will succeed in every task. It's Murphy's law! Nothing lasts forever, anything that can go wrong will go wrong."

She shrugged, dismissing any thoughts of giving penalties to Erina and Hidelio.

Sabastian nodded and agreed with Nyx.

"Just tell them to find the Jordan brother who escaped. Furthermore, for the future, tell them to take extra precaution against unexpected variables. We can dismiss, failures once or twice but repeated failures are something we can't tolerate!" Sabastian.

Ian agreed with the two of them.

Just as Nyx and Sabastian were about to continue their game, both of their phones vibrated on the table in front of them.

The two turned to each other and spoke at the same time.

"I have a bad feeling!" Nyx/Sabastian.

Taking their phone from the table, they checked their phones.

Reading the text message both of their expression changed.

Nyx had an angry expression on her face and Sabastian had annoyed look on his face.

"Let's find out what the Jordan brother who escaped from our grasp, has anything to do with Declan Harrington!" Turning to Sabastian, Nyx said to him.

Every time she remembers, Declan, her mood sours.

They already had a plan ready for Declan but finding out that the Jordan brothers are somehow connected to Declan, Nyx and Sabastian had to change their plans completely!

"Now, I kinda hate Murphy's law! I hope there are no surprises for us anymore." She muttered getting up from the sofa.

"Hey, don't jinx it!" Sabastian.

Turning off the game station and putting the controller on the table, Sabastian got up.

"I'm coming too!" Ian.

The three misfits left the apartment to find out what kind of relationship, Declan has with the Jordan brothers.

Inside a cleaning van, Nyx had a laptop on her lap.

Sabastian and Ian were sitting at the back of the van.

They were waiting for Julian who went to install a device inside the nightclub disguised as a plumber.

10 minutes later, Julian returned and entered the van.

"All set, I planted the device!" Sitting beside Nyx, Julian informed her about his success.

Giving a nod to Julian, Nyx opened the laptop and quickly hacked into the surveillance cameras of the nightclub.

"We got vision!" She called out, making Sabastian and Ian leaned forward to look at the laptop screen.

"That's a lot of guards for a nightclub!" Sabastian commented, seeing several dozens of guards inside the nightclub.

"If the inside of the nightclub is this tight with security, then outside must be the same! Let's get out of here and map out their radar first before we do anything. That Jordan hasn't arrived yet which means we have some time on our hand." Ian seeing the security inside the night club judged that this Nightclub must be some sort of base for some kind of gang or an organisation.

Nyx frowned hearing Ian.

She quickly hacked into the local government database to find the property records of the nightclub.

The part of the city they are in is an island.

So underground plans of all properties on the island have to be submitted to the local government for the safety of the island.

The property of the nightclub is not too big, but looking at the surveillance cams inside the nightclub.

Anyone can tell that there's something fishy.

After checking the government records of the floor plan, Nyx shook her head.

From the surveillance camera's, Nyx mentally mapped a floor plan since they don't have any device for mapping the floors of the nightclub.

Coming to the conclusion, that this nightclub is a base for a gang or an organisation just like Ian.

She sighed before turning to Julian and instructing him to get out of the area.

She then turned back and faced Ian and Sabastian.

"No matter what, we have to find out why Jordan is coming here, after escaping from our grasp! Try to come up with a plan. Also, Ian, we need to map out their radar. This seems way too fishy!"

Nyx looked at her misfit best friends with a serious expression on her face!

"I have a feeling that we will gain a lot from today if we are successful in getting the information Jordan is going to give that Harrington bas*ard!"

Ian, Sabastian and Julian nodded hearing Nyx.

"That aside, I also have a feeling that we can find out something good if we can get into their database!"

Sabastian also gave his thoughts on the matter.

While Ian called for reinforcements, Sabastian, Nyx and Julian brainstorm for ideas.

At the misfit apartment,

Aaron was staring at the hologram of his back.

He was thinking about, how to tell Li Hwa and Yong-Hyeon about this thing that's connected to his spine.

Dismissing the hologram, Aaron picked up his phone from the desk beside him.

"Let's just tell them to come home first, then go with the flow..." He muttered, before dialling up Li Hwa's number to invite the mother and son for dinner at the misfit apartment.

Aaron can already imagine the look on Li Hwa's face when she will see him sitting in the wheelchair.

It hasn't been long that he gave Li Hwa a great scare some time ago with Nyx's explosion incident.

Now he is about to give another scare to Li Hwa with his current condition.
