32. FEELING HER CLOSE

In the heavy rain, she was riding the bike on full speed. She don't know why but her heart was sinking down by each minute. The road was clear as it was late night but it was slippery too.

She was taking sharp turns at the full speed,not caring if she fall. She tapped some buttons on the screen of the bike and was again trying on Shiyi's and Lang's phone.

"Please pick up the damn phone!!" She shouted while hitting her hand on the tank of the bike and it started bleeding. But she continued riding.

"Hello Xing, are you there?!" She picked up her call.

"No we are on our way,where are you?!" The fact that they had not reached there was making Lili more tensed and she speeded up more if possible.

"Few minutes away!" She said and Xing cut the call.

Shiyi was driving towards the location at max speed on the highway going to the Mountains. His knuckles white as he clenched the steering wheel more.

His forehead covered with sweats. It felt like it was raining inside the car as it was outside.

He was too worried to notice his gut feelings. Why is he feeling this way?.... he felt like he's gonna die without her...he...he... don't know what word described it but he felt like he must!! He must save lili at any cost, even if he had to die.

His thought changed from negative to the memories of her. It had been over a month to their marriage, all the moments he spent with her. He smiled when he remembered her 'so moody wife' was about to kill him.

Their kiss made him miss her more. He urge to hug her forever. Not letting her go. He opened his eyes after a long blink when his sight was blinded by a very bright light. He covered his eyes with his hand when he realised that it was truck which was not stopping.

It was coming towards him on a high speed. He was about to turn his steering to the right but there was another truck beside him. He looked at the back and found another chasing him.

There was no way out from here now. He looked everywhere and found a small space in between the trucks and was about to go through it when the truck hitted his car.

His head first hit the window with a full force, breaking the glass into many pieces which pierced his head. His car turned to his left and hitted the railings of the highway by which his head hitted the steering and black dots covered his view,making him unconscious.

The trucks stopped and two men came out from each truck. They went to him and one of them placed his finger under his nose and felt no air coming from it, making sure he died.

He nodded his head as no to others and all left.

Lili was driving and was just at the end of the mountain highway when she heard a car beeping continuously. She tried to see but the dense fog was not letting her see.

She slowed down her bike and stopped it a little far away from the car, she had to go but her gut feeling telling her to stop here. There was smoke coming from the car.

Going towards the car slowly,the rain matching up with her pace,slowed down. Her heart thumping loudly in her chest,her ribcage stopping it from coming outside.

Recognising the car,her eyes widened and her steps slowed down more while going towards the car. She started getting scared of what her mind was thinking.

Finally,her sight went inside the car and she saw a man. His head on the steering wheel as it bleeds badly.

She went to the driver's side and halted when she saw the face. Her eyes becomes watery as she stood numb there,not knowing what to do. Her mind not able to process what she just saw.

"Sh...SHIYI!!!" She shouted loudly and fell down on the road as her legs were not able to carry her weight. She was trembling and tears were continuously coming out of her eyes.

She quickly rubbed her tears away but it didn't stopped and kept blurring her vision. She got up and opened the window from inside. He fell down but she caught her.

She sat down,placing his head on her lap carefully as she tried to wake him up by slapping on his cheek but he didn't. "Shiyi...p..please w...wa...wake up!!" She was not able to speak and was continuously slapping his cheek.

"Shiyi...p..please open your e...eyes!!!" She was ranting but he didn't. She looked up when she felt a drop fell on his face and it started raining. The blood was coming out of his head non stop. She looked for something in her pockets and found her handkerchief. She quickly placed it on his head.

Her tears mixing with the drops of the rain.

"Shiyi!!...sh...shiyi!! Please!!!"

"Haaahhh!!!!, huh!!!...huh..hhh" he gasped for breathe as his eyes shot open ,the raindrops fell on his face. He looked at her who was crying while his head rested on her lap.

"Sh...shiyi!!?!!" She called him who whimpered when he felt pain on the side of his head.

"Shi..shiyi!!!" His face was pale, blood coming out from various parts.

"Sh..shi...shiyi!!!" Shouting she cried more while hugging him. He was shocked even in this state but smiled when he heard his name from her,felling so right coming from those rosy petals which were pale now. She was crying so much that he can feel her tears in the raindrops.

Her hands behind his head as she hid it in the crook of her neck. His hands slowly snaked around her. Hugging her even more tightly, forgetting all the pain.

And it was when she realised that what she was doing all this time and pulled away carefully. She controlled her tears which were threatening to fall down as she looked in his eyes which immediately calmed her thumping heart down.

Those same eyes which have that power to make her mind go blur. Those eyes which she was praying to lost in a few moments ago. Those same dark brown eyes in which she find an ocean she get lost everytime.

Neither he averted his gaze from her. Looking for any injury while forgetting his own. The rain stopped again but the thundering didn't which matched their state.

"S..shiyi...b...blood!!" She whispered but he didn't moved and was looking at her face since he opened her eyes. She was confused as he was still smiling feeling her so close to him.

She tried to get up but his firm hold was not letting her go.

"Shiyi, we need to go to the hospital!!" Her throat was dry as words didn't came out from her mouth. He looked up at her while pulling away and saw some blood on her lips.

He immediately got up making her gasp and was about to walk when black dots started blurring his view and he fell back but she caught him with a scared face.

"SHIYI!!!" She shouted but he smiled as his eyes started shutting down again.

She quickly placed his arm around his shoulder, grabbed him from his waist and started walking towards the bike. She made him sit on the bike at the back before sitting herself in front and made him hug her.

He hugged her tightly from her waist and placed his head at her shoulder. She stiffened a little from this closeness but started the bike and drove off. Looking at him time to time.

They reached the hospital and the nurses came quickly after watching her and the man beside her in a serious condition.

"DOCTOR!!" she shouted and the doctor quickly came without any delay. He looked at Shiyi and quickly told his staff to bring a bed and quickly started going towards the ICU.

"Mam, you cannot go inside please wait here!" The nurse told her and she looked at Shiyi and then at their hands. He was holding her hand tightly,not letting her go.

"Doctor, h..he is my husband.... p...please..!"No words came out of the words and tears were continuously falling from her eyes as they went inside the room.

"Don't worry Lili, Nothing will happen to him..okay?!" The doctor consoled and went inside the room.

She sat on the bench just praying for his well-being. His blood covered face was appearing in front of her eyes,again and again. Tears coming out of her eyes.

"Lili!!!" Xing called her and she looked up at her who was walking towards her. Xing saw her red,puffy eyes,pale face and red cheeks.

She hugged her and Lili again started tearing up. "Shhhh..." Xing calmed her down by caressing her wet hair. "Don't cry okay?!" She said and pulled away.
