Once at the warehouse, everyone jumped in, eager to make sure the process ran smoothly when Santa arrived. Everyone wanted this program to succeed.
Felix remained on his mind all day. Jules knew they needed to talk and he planned on doing just that as soon as Santa left the island. Christmas music played over the speakers in the warehouse and he found himself humming along as he loaded carts and trailers.
Everyone took a quick break for lunch, but then got right back to work. Jules knew his shoulders would be sore Christmas morning, but he welcomed the ache. It felt good to be doing something that would help children around the world. And, as silly as he knew it sounded, he felt happy for the toys that had been stored for so long. They were being sent to homes, schools, and organizations where children would love them. Care for them.
