And as serious as he knew their feelings were, he’d never felt so free in bed. It was so much more than a quick fuck. It was…well, he still wasn’t sure if the “L” word was appropriate yet, but it was certainly where he was headed. No, that wasn’t true. He wasin love. It wasreal.
He got up and grabbed his clothes, dressing quickly in the chilly morning air. If he was going to be spending more time here, and he really hoped he was, he wanted to bring over his heavy duvet.
Funny, but he felt at home at Felix’s. As if he belonged.
But today was a big day, so he pushed those kind of thoughts out his mind. They would have plenty of time to discuss their future later. He hoped to spend Christmas Eve with Felix once Santa had picked up everything and left to make his worldwide deliveries.
Belle yipped to go down the stairs.
“Just a minute, girl,” he promised.
